+Samson B Too late now but they should have. Maybe they'll put this in if they make a Sonic Unleashed sequel, which is what I hope they do cause it's my favorite sonic game.
I honestly think the World Map themes are some of the best in the game, at least from a thematic standpoint. The composers do a great job of giving each area its own theme, and the World Maps are there to set an impression. The act themes elaborate on that, but it's in these themes that the mood gets set, and each one is so different and amazing. Take this calming, underwater, classical Japanese theme and compare it to the slow, cool, synth-based rock of Asteroid Coaster, the bumping party theme of Tropical Resort or the happy rave tune of Starlight Carnival. Just like in Unleashed, the soundtrack is so varied and I love it. :)
This is probably my favorite water level of the series. I especially loved how, instead of an old ancient ruin like they usually use for a water level, they went for a Technoized old Japanese style. Sounds weird on paper but it wound being pretty as hell. Also, favorite map theme, right here.
The art direction in this game is top notch, one of the best in the nintendo wii and sonic series. Colors is a game that begs for a remaster in hd with new shaders and 60fps, cuz the game in 480p is already that beautiful.
Eggman's Incredible Interstellar Amusement Park Tour Guide Information #10: Aquarium Park "Known for it's samurai-esque buildings and inviting ocean pools, Aquarium Park is by far the most peaceful planet of the park. It's main attractions are trained Samurai Security robots, the Security Boss Captain Sushibuckler and his Submarine, and the beautiful glittery water pools mixed with the temples and hotels."
The number of people who think this is Chinese is too high, it's Japanese fellas and ladies not Chinese, long history but I think I may see why you think it's Chinese
you are right dude because those egg pawns were wearing feudal japanese helmets but i never thought it was chinese though oh and also those shinto like red gates too
This song is wonderful. It shows how much effort was put into Colours' soundtrack when a song this good is placed in an area you're only normally in for up to 20 seconds at most.
Been playing in the wii u, and i should say, is as good as I remember. Gameplay wise one of my fav modern sonic games. The art direction pops in the screen till this day.
CHINESE CHINESE CHINESE CHINESE *EVERYTHING GOES CHINESE* Fellas did you know *Sonic Says : Seeing all this fish made me want to eat sushi!* on aquarium park cutscenes? this stage based on japan.
The level is clearly Japan-based but the music is kinda mixed up between Japan and China to me... sometimes I get Japanese, sometimes Chinese. The instruments maybe. The acts are more Japanese-oriented though!... or I don't know lol the only thing I'm is that Aquarium Park has some of the best tracks in the game
I want to play an Adventure game where I can run around, explore and find secrets, while listening to this...something similar to Zelda or Okami...that would rad to have one of those games made again...
Ah... The peaceful jingle of 17th-century-Japan...... mixed with a bit of Techno.
I love this Japanese music, its relaxing and makes me cry :)
Edit: Idk why though xD
sounds like a track that would be put in unleashed
And thus we found that this was the original chun nan hub world track.
+Samson B Too late now but they should have. Maybe they'll put this in if they make a Sonic Unleashed sequel, which is what I hope they do cause it's my favorite sonic game.
[GD] DoubleAyci
Chun Nan already has a boss: The Dark Gaia Phoenix.
sounds like chu-nan indeed
Problaby during a werehog stage.

@@Canalbiruta well this comment aged well
if you ignore all the visual glitches and pop in and you aren't playing on the switch
@@party11440 i meant, a good remaster, not ubisoft style ahahahhaha
Chun-Nan is based off China and this is based off Japan.

MrMichael7342 Ok so I don't have to appeal the masses with this comment, yeah I honestly don't understand how they could get it confused
To be fair, this music style does lend itself a little more toward the Chinese style rather than the Japanese style.
To be fair, most people who are "Japanese" actually have Chinese ancestral roots.
I'm Chinese and even I thought this was Chinese xD
Good tie in with sonic backstory seeing as this song is Japanese and sonic comes from Japan
Well, the franchise is. Sega is a japanese company.
The number of people here who can't tell the difference between China and Japan is alarming.
Something that u can relax to 💯💯💯😉
This song is wonderful. It shows how much effort was put into Colours' soundtrack when a song this good is placed in an area you're only normally in for up to 20 seconds at most.
This is my favorite sonic colors song
This music make's me want to go to Japan
Makes you wanna go to Japan, doesn't it?
I forgot how beautiful this was
this music makes me sleep. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
Aquarium Park = The only stage in the game that doesn't introduce a new wisp (although it introduces a new torpedo ability for the Yellow Wisp).
Well, in the DS version it introduced the Cyan Wisp.
This is one of the best pieces of video game music to exist.
Chun-Nan and Aquarium Park together would really be awesome!
Reminds me of Mulan
I haven’t played this game in 6 years I miss it sooooo much on the ds
Been playing in the wii u, and i should say, is as good as I remember. Gameplay wise one of my fav modern sonic games. The art direction pops in the screen till this day.
this made me cry.
This shit always makes me cry and i don't know why
YES.
Im so glad that someone else notices :3
this song is so calming and beautiful. i listen to this every night before i go to sleep and my brother gets mad at me for it XD.
I can picture all Sonic characters dressed up in kimono forms already.
💖🗻🏯🍱🍙🍣🍤🍥🐠🐡🐙🦐🐠
The Orient... is always so beautiful
@GreatNegus

CHINESE CHINESE CHINESE CHINESE
*EVERYTHING GOES CHINESE*
Fellas did you know
*Sonic Says : Seeing all this fish made me want to eat sushi!*
on aquarium park cutscenes? this stage based on japan.
Are you suggesting sushi came from China? If so, then it's actually Japanese.
Holy macaroni is that a Parappa the Rapper reference?1!!1!1!
The bass... Yes.
1:20 - 1:42 My favourite part ^_^
Same.
i still following my dreams alone (:
So peacefull
People rarely have time to appreciate this song, since you only spend about 9 seconds (at the most) on the map.
I can only hope the next full sonic game will have the creativity that sega put into sonic colours :)
This song sounds like it belongs in Okami.
I'd definitely say that 3:27 is my Favorite part.
Saammeee
Rave Party ! With FISH !!
Before Watatsumi Island there was Aquarium Park.
You have an excuse for those two.
The bosses are based on time and you literally have to wait.
one person liked this video so much that they flipped their computer upside-down to like it twice!!!
reminds me of chun-nan
sonic is so cool
Why do I think of both Mini-Ninjas and Mulan?
love this track! kinda reminds me of naruto.. and also the night time china hub world in sonic unleashed :)
Very calming music, but I played Sonic Colors on the Nintendo Wii and it was VERY easy.
cool video :)
You're just figuring this out?
nice japenese vibe
Theme of Japan & in honor of Japan! Why? 'Cause I like Japan & always wanted to go there. I hear it's beautiful in both night & day & at sunset.
Reminds me of Sonic Riders ZG, anyone know that game?
i can't choose weather this is japenese type music or china type music
ElTacoMiner
Japanese.
Reminds me Of Chu-Nah so Chinese I think
SEEING ALL THIS FISH MADE ME WANT TO EAT
SUUUUUUUUUUSSSSSSHI

Anyone else afraid of the jellyfish? XD
Chun-nan! China, aru!!
The DS version is much harder in a way
the one dislike came from eggman :/
@UltamiteMasterHand
Probably not now because of all the floods and earthquakes
i like how everyone in the comments makes references to japan even though the level is based on china.
fireluigi12 this based on japan.
FFXIV: Stormblood
The Music Sound Like The Japanese
Chinese vibes anyone
Yes.
But I think it should tend more to japanese just because Eggman mentioned sushi in the game.
God I WANT TO PLAY DARK CLOUD NOW!!!! any one will do
I want to play an Adventure game where I can run around, explore and find secrets, while listening to this...something similar to Zelda or Okami...that would rad to have one of those games made again...
