    There’s so many videos out there from SDR/BDR’s Specialists, and they are insightful for sure. But it’s really cool to have someone not showing you how to be as great as they already are… but instead showing the real life, the challenges and all the small victories you learn to celebrate. Great Job girl!!

      Hi! I just completed the course material and trying to prep for the exam. Working fulltime with 3 kids and so many setbacks it's taking me longer to complete and I'm almost thinking it's something I'm not supposed to do and stumbling across this video of the harsh reality of sales tech is giving me anxiety. I don't want the added stress but I don't miss an opportunity either. With you just starting in the career field what are your thoughts, and do you wish you had gone a different route?

      @@indigomelendez5903 yes! I plan on covering this in my next video about the interviewing process. hopefully I’ll have it out within a week.
      But my very short answer is, it may make the competition more fierce (increased hiring pool) but You have to show a company why you’re the one they can depend on in uncertain times. They want to know if your a fighter. If you can show them that I don’t think you have anything to worry about.
      In a weird way I think landing a job at this time is a blessing because imagine when the economy is good, you would have already gone thru the fire and it’s relatively “smooth sailing” after.
      I hope I made sense lol I will be more detailed in my video. Lol

      But If you start as an intern it’s about $18-21 an hour for about 3 months. Then if you are hired on, I believe, you get a slightly higher base and commissions.

I have experience in sales and customer Second I have zero experience in tech industry. I'm just looking for better paying job that I can do from home. So in my little bit of experience (lol,) I’ve worked with many people with strong accents and they do very well. As long as what you say is clear, accents aren’t a problem from what I’ve seen, so don’t worry yourself about that part.
      And as far as experience, with the course, you don’t need experience because it will teach you what you need to know. I had no experience or degree myself BUT I was able to show my skills in the interview and have very impressive questions and answers because the course prepared me. But total transparency…. you will have to be more creative than others when applying but not having experience won’t inhibit you from getting a job. I hope this helps ☺️

    • @dianaroselive
      @dianaroselive  Рік тому +11

      Hey there☺️ Well as far as my first check it wasn’t that big because it was base pay only. (Disclaimer- I make a little lower than the average SDR/BDR because I wanted to be fully remote and I negotiated certain work terms and the trade off was a little less pay which was fine for me)
      so it was like $1700 (bi weekly) after deductions and taxes. However once your commission kicks in, it’s like an extra 1k-1.5k or more, a month on top of the $3400 or whatever ur base may be.
      I did a lot of applying on indeed and Linkedin, but I also used anglelist and Glassdoor. Ultimately I landed my current job on indeed. I’ll make a video about the job search and interview process going into detail.
