Definitely my all time fav promo and it’s for a fight that never happened 😭

One of the most hyped up fights that became one of the biggest “what if’s” in combat sports.
I used to think Tony would be a nightmare match up and if we talk about Tony in his prime then i still hold on to those words but i think if it were to happen right now Khabib would take him to all corners of the cage and smash him like everyone else who has fought him. Khabib even tho retired was only getting better and better and sadly enough to say i think Tony is passing his prime these days. The tony that fought Barboza or RDA would be the ultimate matchup. I ain't praying for it anymore as much as i hate to say it. It lost it's special feeling when Gaethje murked Tony 24min long. Like Khabib has said, the exact reason that he needed to beat Tony for his legacy is gone now. H ain't that psycho anymore who was undefeated for 8 years and was breaking everyone, Gaethje took that away so i understand Khabib when he says it's unique feeling is gone
I feel like at this point it's pretty easy to see that Khabib would've won, Tony's grappling just isn't slick enough to deal with Khabib.
@@uwotm8634 he still deserved his shot. 12-0 and never got a shot at the real belt. Chandler was a step in for khabib vs gaethje and could've possibly fought for the belt in his UFC debut, and got a title shot with a 1-0 record, beating a guy coming off a loss. Dana white privilege is a real thing
@@antoniocontreras7559 Yeah when he was on the big win streak he definitely deserved it, but the interim title fight with Gaethje sabotaged his shot.

@@randomhuman5768 you really don’t know that. Styles make fights and Tony’s is extremely intriguing to match up against Khabib since stony is nasty off his back and his BJJ. Unfortunately even if they did fight now, which obviously won’t happen with Khabib gone, Tony might not be the same after the Justin fight and being older. 2018 was the time for this to happen and a cable ruined it smh

Tony is not out of the title picture. Gaethje got knocked out by Alvarez and Poirier and was still in the title picture. Tony was undefeated for 8 years. He just needs to rest up and win a fight. Then he's right back in contention.
