UFC Lightweight Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov will defend his title against former interim champ Tony Ferguson on April 18 in Brooklyn. If you’re not new to the UFC, you know this matchup has been scheduled multiple times, but injuries and illness have derailed what is seemingly a dream matchup.
It’s crazy to think, but the fight is even bigger now than it has ever been. Nurmagomedov’s star status is rock solid and Ferguson is still the boogeyman to many in the division.

Depends what is meant by most important.....yh they both have good records on paper, with Tony having the better opponents, it's probably the most important in the LW division right now........Jon Jones vs Winner of Stipe and DC is more important IMO, if DC wins its double champ vs double champ in the biggest weight classes between 2 fighters who have dominated the LHW division for years and starting on HW division, I get it's cool to hate Conor but if he beats Cowboy and Masvidal and gets a title shot in that division.......that's a massive achievement aswell, Tony vs Khabib is just a well overdue fight really
