I know you already have mic tests on other videos, but that side by side comparison is really a game changer for someone who still has their doubts. Wish you would've included them. Otherwise, great review. Thanks!
I hope you went with the HS80's the G Pro mic is Horrible. The compression sounds like aviation headsets in a tin can it's unbearable, yuck! On the other hand, the HS80 sound real and warm, like the person is standing right in front of you.
Amazing comparison video! I just have 1 question: Can the Corsair HS80 be plugged to a phone or tablet with a USB-C to USB-C cable to listen to music, videos or even make calls? Thanks!
I’ve got both HS80 & G Pro X wireless. I purely play on PS5 so totally no settings can be changed on either headset. I can’t decide which I prefer at all. The comfort of both is good but can tweak the HS80 to get it spot on. Traffic light Led battery indicator is better on HS80, only get a green light with different flashes depending on battery level on G Pro. The HS80 has zero white noise & sounds good with very flat balance. Whereas the G Pro X wireless has a lot better wireless range, HS80 only just stays in range from my TV to sofa, G Pro I can walk around my house. G Pro Wireless has noticeable higher treble which in FPS games results in gun shots & footsteps direction that just stand out more. The G Pro wireless do have a little bit of white noise also. I wish the HS80 sounded like my G Pro but without the white noise and also that you could turn off the LED light on the mic. I wear glasses & it lights my left lens up at night giving me a headache. Also on the HS80 I have when charging the RGB logo & LED mic both light up & don’t turn off even when it’s finished charging if you keep the charge wire plugged in. Weird. The volume wheel is very stiff as well.
Damn I was about to get the hs80, but I used to go to kitchen while playing so range is important but at the same time I like the fast way of muting my mic like HS80 style. Currently I have the G533 has those features but without this quality.
@@mrwest2474 I won’t buy steelseries until they move to USB type C and I’ve had issues with the mics on them not working & the 40mm drivers they use are bit dated now with pretty average sound.
@@JulioJairdeAlba I did some more testing on range & the HS80 seem ok for range as long as you are in direct site of the PC/console but as soon as you go into a different room they do cut off. But they do reconnect automatically straight away when you go back into the room the receiver is in.
@@ryanmcqueen6909 Arctis is the only headset where you can save sound files. Making them better than any of the reviewed headsets the stock sound on HS80 is ok
With slight differences in price based on black friday sales , which WIRED headset would u recommend between G Pro X , HS80 and the cheapest being Razor V2 X , for ps5
Wow, i was just thinking about buying one of these two headsets and this pops up in my recommended. Amazing review mate, this helped me decide on which one to buy! (gonna go with the Logitech G Pro X Wireless)
As an owner of corsair vengeance 2100 later a Logitech G933 Artemis Spectrum wireless well than a Sennheiser GS370 well. Anyway when I watched this video again the deep voice of yours @The Provoked Prawn gave me goosebumbs.
You can remove the earcups. You just have to tilt them back with a little bit of force. I have seen some reviews that others doing it. You should try that tilting. Great review tho.
really loving all the reviews & that soothing voice lol, was wondering if u ever do giveaways on the headsets u review? my astro a10s are dying after 3 years of daily use haha
What about the wired hs80 vs the regular g pro x (not lightspeed)? Curious as these are the two headsets i have my eye own right now (havent finished the video yet so apologies if this is already done in this video)
Was waiting for this. Great review! Something I was wondering about: is high res audio that noticable? I have the Arctis Pro Wireless, the arctis 7 and the logitech pro x wireless. The arctis 7 gives me better audio than the pro but and not high res.
If you've never experienced it then yes it is. Listen to Tidal and high Res music and you'll hear it but you'll also be surprised what difference it makes to games. You'll hear more sounds and a wider range of sound than you've heard before. It's hard to put into words.
just bought HS80, it's really impressive. the mic is incredible compare to blue voice on G PRO X. the head strap design give you comfort feeling and sound quality is better than G PRO X also in my country HS80 is also cheaper one bad thing is the mic can not detach so it's suit only indoor activity.
@@frecsyke -I really satisfy with comfortable, battery and the sound but many ppl said the mic voice is a bit too low, they said this happen to most of the corsair product, solution is to uninstall iCUE. another thing that need to be careful is the cushion cover(the fabric that cover the foam), this part is seal with glue and easily split out.
I made a mistake and the ear cushions on the HS80 are removable. They twist off. I clearly haven't been lifting enough lately.
love how you threw a joke in after realizing your mistake , definitely subbing and thanks for this video ! helped me choose !
I started freaking out because I just ordered mine and I’m currently waiting on my wiked ear cushion replacement 🤣
For the Corsair Headset, I think you can actually twist the ear-cups to remove them
You can. Anti clockwise. They are secured to a removable plastic backplate system that locks into place with clips

A year too late but you can even use it wireless with an usb-c to usb-A adapter :D
