Oh yeah, that's a bummer that it doesn't have an anamorphic mode. Maybe they can add it with a firmware update. This model does have anamorphic mode, so if you ever need to update, it's a good option for it!
I saw budget and click fast, then check the price and I realize that I’m not at the budget level just yet… I’m still at $100 field monitors… the grind continues… thanks for this vid tho very informative… also we like the unboxings 😂🤣
@@rojaecrosby1554 yeah sorry, it’s a budget monitor when it comes to larger 15” displays. Most of them are in the 2-3k range, so this one is a much better price around $900 on sale on Amazon right now. Your $100 dollar monitor is plenty good for where you’re at right now! I think my first one was even cheaper than that and From Neewer. I’ve been investing in my gear and upgrading for over a decade now. We all start somewhere and that’s the way it should be!
@@chadwin Yea I figured it was something along those lines, and definitely for persons who are at that level it’s definitely a steal. I’ll work my way up there… I started my journey in May of this year so I’m learning all I can so that when I get to upgrade my gear it would be from an informed perspective… keep following ur passion, you are definitely inspiring us out here 🫡
Yeah, I did briefly talk about this near the end. Unfortunately they don't support multiple video inputs with side by side monitor of each feed. You can switch between them, but not view them simultaneously. Hopefully in the future they add a firmware update for this.
@@PowersBenzoCoaching I guess if that fits your needs better that makes since. But it costs more, doesn’t have HDMI input and it’s a lot thicker with no travel case or sun hood. It does have more old school broadcast ports tho for traditional video work.
@@Thevikingcam using an iPad is definitely a great and very mobile option as well! If you can connect the Sony app or use a wireless transmitter that supports iOS devices as well, then it's a good option for sure!
Your in-depth description is so informative. 😊
@@janananna thanks! This was a long video, so many details to cover 😅
just got the hollyland kit, now I need to get one of these as well. Thanks.
yes!! it makes for a great combo on set.
Am I the only one looking for unboxing still? awesome vid brother
hahaha! Probably.....I mean I do watch some unboxings if it's a really exclusive new tech product.
do you have a soluton for a monitor/recorder all in one?
@@BARFMEDIA yes, the Atomos Sumo. It’s more expensive, but it has recording to SSD’s and a large 19” display if you need that.
@@chadwinthanks so much!!
I wish the megamon had anamorphic features. I just found out the other day that it didn't after owning it for over a year.

Perhaps I missed it, but can it show side by side feed from two cameras at the same time? For example 2 receivers, SDI 1&2. Thank you.

great content
thanks for watching!!
Is there wireless connection to camera?
@@johannes3530 no. You’ll need to use a wireless transmitter like the Hollyland I show later in the video.
i want this monitor so much :/
Just keep doing client work and set aside some funds, or if you land a big job, buy it as part of the job cost.
@@chadwin i do my very best :) thanks!
For the price I’d rather just go with the Blackmagic 15” monitor which is a lot better.

For the price id just get old ipad pro 12.9". 1600 nits. Full P3 HDR. Color accurate also. And you can just keep it at hand or mount it.
