During his ult, if you use his skill right before he goes into the air, u can get ur death messenger faster. But even then he's still very hard to use

@@JirieruHonestyly I just go for 2 death messengers (I just swap characters or animation cancel in the 2nd death messenger if my ult is about to run out). I was still able to defeat all holograms with him with no food (except for tempest) so I don't rlly find him a problem. They should just adjust his ult better
For me they should either count the dodge counter hits for stacks or make the death messenger counters instead of duration during liberation
Dodge stacking would feel so good for mourning
Kuro accidentally switch rover and calcharo as 5 star banner
If only his second inherent skill gave you more damage reduction and made gace more interruption resistence during his death messengers
they shouldn't have changed yinlins outro at least jiyan with 4star team is clearing tower much easier than calcharo with 5 star team and 5star weapons
the gameplay is nice im surprise when he fit very well with encore in a double dps team, but the S1 and the 2nd inherent skill is literally bs u need to have high mechanic to use him but he offer very low reward ,i dont mind with the stack on his liberation i just think they need to speed up the attack animation outside of the liberation

cal's enhanced attack was made to be quick swaped which sucks if you have high ping/or on mobile.
they should just give him the jinhsi treatment of not resetting the attack combo after dodging atleast while on ult state
as a calcharo main.... he does. we need a good shielder like a zhongli so he can spam his ult without having to dodge and losing dps
Tbh, I've also came to this conclusion. He is so bad against Mourning Aix. Even Havoc Rover without buffs or Chixia is better.
Dodge counter should fill in the bar or have the same multiplayer as Death Message. It is ridiculous that dodging actually punishing player
So Im not entirely sure but when people mention that he got nerfed, they refer to the pre-release Calcharo right? Personally I still think he's super fun and he's been my main DPS since day1, although now im using Jinhsi more cause... shes BUSTED. Still, he is very fun to use and gets satisfactory results. My only real issue with him is his second passive, its completely and utterly useless, and the fact that his dodge counters in ult do not give him any stacks. I have to say though, I think anyone using the argument "He's a standard character" to justify him or any character being weaker is completely ridiculous. Characters being standard shouldnt be bad just because of that. Case and point, Verina exists. Standard isnt an excuse for mediocrity.
Anyhow, my own little pet peeve is that its pretty disappointing that his skill in Liberation doesnt change into something different, lost potential there, but yeah way too late for that to ever change.

Tbh calcahro really isn't made for like high stages. He's good on lower ones.

Calcharo is mid. He's so slow. Never parries. Dodge messes up everything. He's an A tier. But playing him is too annoying
While Jiyan and Rover aren't felt slow swang sword. Lingyang supposedly low damage better gameplay
Skill issue
The thing is that he needs to dodge and loose so much dmg. Give me a stack for the dodge or increase the dodge attack significantly to make up for the damage loss. Next thing is that you can quick swap in the long animation, but you lose every buff on him. Yinlin buff, moonlith, his own buff, weapon buffs and echo buffs. It’s so annoying to fight that way. I have him build to lv 70, but I let him do the lower stages in the tower and don’t upgrade him anymore. I really like his character model and combat style, but all the nerfs ad up. I will pull for Changli to have another dps and hope that Yao is better to play.
I’m 29/30 in Tower because I can’t three star Aix on the left side. I skipped Jiyan and have Yinlin S1 and Jinhsi S1 and I hoped Calcharo would be enough with Yinlin, but it’s not. My Yinlin is pretty cracked with 80/265 on 43311 and my Jinhsi 73/275 destroyes everything in seconds, but Calcharo doesn’t even comes close.
My level 80 calcharo 65/240 with lustrous razor was able to 3 star that aix stage with Yinlin S1 + Baizhi lvl50.
I agree tho he feels very hard to use in lvl 90 TOA stages , I always tried to outro yinlin into Calc and keep all buffs on him as I did the DM 2x then swap out the 3rd DM, but it’s mostly just prayge the Aix will let me pull that combo off w/o flying away.
Took me an hour of retries to 3-star it coz of that, trust tho bro that ur calcharo can do it just a bit more push!! 😅
afaik you dont lose weapon/echo buffs etc on swap. its just the outro buff and heron that you lose out on.
@@goshi12 yeah, you are right and maybe it will be better if he is lv80, but I don’t want to spend more resources into a total nerfed dps. It really hurts man…
@@andrzejat6163 afaik, the nerfs to him were just his concerto energy gains from DM, nothing dmg related but correct me if I’m wrong
ppl saying he was a top tier 5 star in 1.0 are now condemning him xD well i dont blame them since i didnt like his gameplay from the very start. I knew he was damn cool but that was it as i finished my databank i realized that he was gonna be bad bcuz monsters in this game especially bosses like holograms are extremely fast and his atks are so slow beyond reason. Then when u dodge while he ults its so punishing instead of rewarding. Atleast Lingyang now has a good buddy lol
Just because it works for you, doesn't mean that others opinions are invalid and just a "skill issue". Just saying.
Matter of fact, his team is singlehandedly being hard carried by Yinlin. He could barely clear Heron on TOA without Yinlin. It's doable, but not the smoothest run, Heck even a 4 star dps outperforms him on TOA runs.
people forget he is a regular banner character that dont even have a signature weapon built for him.
