I forgot everytime argus uses his ult, most of the time the enemies would just run away or just stall him out before returning back to attack him or something, it's a well balance and overall good revamp on argus, giving him the extra movement speed and dishing out quite the damage as well, tho some people may think it's a nerf, in my opinion, it's quite a well good balance feature that I'm looking forward to see in argus in the future.
old one does the same thing (preventing enemy running away) by giving his 2nd skill bleed damage, which was better imo, bleed damage counts toward the HP gained at the end of his ult, and the requirement for each double slash was lower before patch 1.80

I think the ult is meant to be used to dive heroes even you're in full health..... And critical build is now usual for Argus to use because it benefits the gaining of stacks due to the damage dealt to the enemy...... For me, i would usually use Argus to gank and dive enemies in the bottom lane.... The combo would be Skill 1 - Ult - Skill 2/Skill1(Phase 2) - Inspire....

Dominance Ice and that Marksman talent weakness finder or something will still counter him. He has low attack speed and low physical attack growth. Just use Hylos with his attack speed reduction second skill + Dominance Ice and then a marksman standing at the back like Hanabi with weakness finder, Argus won't be an issue.
The only good thing they can do for Argus is auto activation of his Ult as long as it's available. Since his Ultimate works almost the same as Abaddon from DoTA 2. Like they can also make Argus have his Ult Auto activate at some threshold like let's say when only 10-20% of his HP is remaining, ULT will auto activate. This would be a really good feature
they shouldve kept the 4 malice energy while not attacking, they are basically removing his Early Fight strenght, in exchange for longer ult, they should revert it so it can still do early outplays, while being a balanced hero since he is shitty on tanky heroes+vengeance
Bring back the bleed on 2nd skill - Or allow him to cast his second skill while pulling the chain on skill 1 - Even better extend his attack range during Ult - Allow the sword to swing from the chain - like the season skin animation where he grabs the sword with the chain. (Something like Freyas ult attack buff but you can give it an effect like Julians Passive)
If you might not notice elgin the passives damage and hp recovery has been reduced to 50 points and you no longer generate malice energy when attacking turrets.
This sounds like more of an adjustment than a buff. The second phase of his ult means you have to use his ult early or else you'll just have a 3 second duration since you will immediately get fatal damage at low health. This also gives enemies more chance to escape argus ult. Would you bait enemies from low health into a 3 seconds ult or in full health to maximize your ult duration at the risk of enemies escaping?
If you get confused when it will end then you probably use your ult too early with high hp remaining. The change was cancelled but if it does make it back, they should also add a transformation delay like YZ.
I don't mind the long cool down, Immortality maxing at 8 seconds with phase 2 activating last? Bonus movement for better chasing? Perfectly balanced, thanks Moontoon

One thing you forgot to mention about the Passive Nerf is that you no longer gain Energy while hitting turrets, this essentially removes Argus ability to split-push but more active when it comes to teamfights
his early game poke is no longer existent now his only way to deal damage to an enemy is by trading damage. The 1st skill, 2nd skill, BA (keep basic attacking until the curse duration is over), dash out combo is no longer possible

As an Argus main with more than 1,300 matches, I feel like the rework on his malice is a huge nerf for him. I’m not gonna say that he’s unplayable anymore but his early game will be much more difficult because the malice/energy regen helps a lot when it comes to poking heroes, specially against those tanky exp lane heroes like Yu Zhong, Khaleed, Ruby and many more. For example, Yu Zhong lvl 3 is already strong enough to kill Argus with his 3 skill combo + petrify. People will say that you shouldn’t go near. If you don’t go near then you won’t have the gold and exp + the malice for the passive from minions, exp laners in higher ranks will exploit that weakness because he won’t have enough damage to make that Yu Zhong’s health go down bit by bit to make him scared to go close so that Yu Zhong will just zone you out forever. Facing Yu Zhong or the other sustain heroes is already difficult in the early, how much more difficult would it be for a squishy hero to face them without his only sustain(regen from passive). 4:02 in this clip here, if he had the regen for his malice, his passive probably would’ve been full or he can just wait for a bit in the bush to get him by surprise and just by using his 1st skill + passive + 2nd skill combo would’ve been enough to kill him if saber’s health had been a bit lower. A hit and run combo because you can actually activate his passive and 2nd skill at the same time if your fingers are fast enough. I’m happy about what they did to his ult, the movement speed increase is brilliant because it will really help chase down the enemy much easier and the extra 3 seconds will be excellent for tower dives(something that I do all the time against those players that likes to spam recall. Now moonton gave me 3 more seconds to spam recall on his dead body under his tower🤗). However, Argus is most of the time faced with burst/poke/chase heroes(those who can deal high damage instantly and is also able to get away quickly) so the delay on his ult will be a major weakness for him. If the enemy’s braincells are working properly, they’ll just wait him out in the bush and kill him instantly before his ult comes out. Overall, I think this rework is not that bad, it’ll definitely change Argus players’ play style and I’m happy that moonton is finally giving Argus some love after all the butchering he’s gone through.
I'm an argus user before, for me just adding the movement speed when using his ult is enough because he's still too dam slow while chasing enemies also, the removal of auto passive regen was kinda sucks because in early game that is one of the only thing you can do to harass an enemy. I hope they just add additional movement speed while using his ult, "not too much" but still balance.
I think it would be nice if they leave the passive generation or just leave the Second Skill Fast Charge Effect, Because to be honest in Lane Phase you can always find a Hero The one you have to Poke, like... Now he has the ult movement speed boost that happens twice with dragon spear. Ill be on literal demon time if argus comes out like this no one will be escaping

For example, Yu Zhong lvl 3 is already strong enough to kill Argus with his 3 skill combo + petrify. People will say that you shouldn’t go near. If you don’t go near then you won’t have the gold and exp + the malice for the passive from minions, exp laners in higher ranks will exploit that weakness because he won’t have enough damage to make that Yu Zhong’s health go down bit by bit to make him scared to go close so that Yu Zhong will just zone you out forever. Facing Yu Zhong or the other sustain heroes is already difficult in the early, how much more difficult would it be for a squishy hero to face them without his only sustain(regen from passive).
4:02 in this clip here, if he had the regen for his malice, his passive probably would’ve been full or he can just wait for a bit in the bush to get him by surprise and just by using his 1st skill + passive + 2nd skill combo would’ve been enough to kill him if saber’s health had been a bit lower. A hit and run combo because you can actually activate his passive and 2nd skill at the same time if your fingers are fast enough.
I’m happy about what they did to his ult, the movement speed increase is brilliant because it will really help chase down the enemy much easier and the extra 3 seconds will be excellent for tower dives(something that I do all the time against those players that likes to spam recall. Now moonton gave me 3 more seconds to spam recall on his dead body under his tower🤗).
However, Argus is most of the time faced with burst/poke/chase heroes(those who can deal high damage instantly and is also able to get away quickly) so the delay on his ult will be a major weakness for him. If the enemy’s braincells are working properly, they’ll just wait him out in the bush and kill him instantly before his ult comes out.
Overall, I think this rework is not that bad, it’ll definitely change Argus players’ play style and I’m happy that moonton is finally giving Argus some love after all the butchering he’s gone through.
I'm an argus user before, for me just adding the movement speed when using his ult is enough because he's still too dam slow while chasing enemies also, the removal of auto passive regen was kinda sucks because in early game that is one of the only thing you can do to harass an enemy. I hope they just add additional movement speed while using his ult, "not too much" but still balance.
This gives an pre-revamp Freya vibe where freya deals damage to nearby enemies when casting ULT

I think it would be nice if they leave the passive generation or just leave the Second Skill Fast Charge Effect, Because to be honest in Lane Phase you can always find a Hero The one you have to Poke, like... Thamuz, Dyrroth... And the Main Argus will allow me to say that we always wait for the Charge to Do Some Damage
And with the Adjustment to his Damage and his Penetration Passive it's going to be even more Unbearable to maintain a Line
Now its more beneficial for argus to use ult from the get go when there are enemies beside. He doesn't need to wait until his hp is low since it'll be an automatic 3 second ult wasting the 5 seconds. If he used the ult at low and hp and immediately taking fatal dmg resulting in a automatic 3 second ult, as seen in the video everytime he presses ult, he does it after waiting to get low and always getting a 3 second ult.
This is kind of balanced leaning more on the op side than weaker side, as an argus main his first skill dashes are enough for me chase people since the first one is a grab and the second phase is literally just flicker. Now he has the ult movement speed boost that happens twice with dragon spear. Ill be on literal demon time if argus comes out like this no one will be escaping

i say this is pretty balanced, removing the increase of malice energy is tough for argus because his passive is his main tool for fights, but with the new ultimate, he can gain allot of energy
