Damn this will give enemy more reason to run when seeing wings emerge from his back
His energy regeneration no longer regens forcing you to attack and attack just to deal the damage and heal from your passive and since the weaker damage and heal from 200 to 150 he's easier to harass in the laning phase. It's a nerf for me especially dealing against meta exp heroes 🥹.
Also he no longer regen his energy when hitting towers so minus pushing abilities 😭
are you forgetting the EIGHTY movement speed or not

What will the movement speed do if you're facing fighters like yuzhong in the early game? And if you got burst down as you activates your ult the ukt duration will just get shorter and the movement speed decays overtime. Well it's good having a movement speed for his ult but it doesn't help him where he struggles with is against meta exp laners especially in laning phase.
@@afifmohamad1044 if you have a five second death immunity than can become 8 at most, an 80% movement speed, and two dashes and still got yourself zoned to the point you still havent transitioned to a safe spot after the cc or catch them youre either outnumbered or outskilled
i think players need to use argus' ult before diving into teamfights in order to maximize the full 8 seconds of his ult. when elgin used argus' ult when his health was alr low, the 2nd phase of his ult immediately activated, which made the duration just around 3 seconds
no he should dive in before ulting to maximize the effect of the malice energy, thus faster passive equal to more power

Basically, if you used ult when you are almost dying, it will go for 3 seconds instead (+1-2 seconds if you activated it early)
Which is a nerf for those who keep using ult as last resort, but a buff for those who uses ultimate early.

Using ult when you're low is a bad decision because of sky piercer item you can easily be executed if you react slow

They want you to use his ult as soon as possible because if you use it at the last second, it will immediately activate the second phase, shortening his ult for 3 sec. Basically, they want his ult to be used more as an offensive skill rather than a defensive skill
But in late game you can play him like suicide to take away many skills from the opponent

I forgot everytime argus uses his ult, most of the time the enemies would just run away or just stall him out before returning back to attack him or something, it's a well balance and overall good revamp on argus, giving him the extra movement speed and dishing out quite the damage as well, tho some people may think it's a nerf, in my opinion, it's quite a well good balance feature that I'm looking forward to see in argus in the future.
old one does the same thing (preventing enemy running away) by giving his 2nd skill bleed damage, which was better imo, bleed damage counts toward the HP gained at the end of his ult, and the requirement for each double slash was lower before patch 1.80

@@theflyingwhale5778 the new 2 skill effect is better than the bleed effect imo. Even tho the bleed effect is great in earlygame, the new one is also good, because it makes your passive faster to max out and even heals you.
The only problem for me is his passive because it really is important due to other high damage xp laner like Thamuz in the early game😔

If anything it's a massive buff as you could use it as a chase ability, the aoe dmg although unsubstantial could be interesting if it could apply on hit effects, and if you know how to play his ult correctly you could actually be immune to death up to 8 seconds.
Time to put that special build Ive been cooking up for Argus to good use now cuz these devs have FINALLY given Argus some love. I dont think I need to explain how good this adjustment is.

And critical build is now usual for Argus to use because it benefits the gaining of stacks due to the damage dealt to the enemy......
For me, i would usually use Argus to gank and dive enemies in the bottom lane.... The combo would be Skill 1 - Ult - Skill 2/Skill1(Phase 2) - Inspire....

Really hope Argus can move while in the transforming animation.
This sounds like more of an adjustment than a buff. The second phase of his ult means you have to use his ult early or else you'll just have a 3 second duration since you will immediately get fatal damage at low health. This also gives enemies more chance to escape argus ult.
Would you bait enemies from low health into a 3 seconds ult or in full health to maximize your ult duration at the risk of enemies escaping?

As an Argus main I see this as an absolute win
Dominance Ice and that Marksman talent weakness finder or something will still counter him. He has low attack speed and low physical attack growth.
Just use Hylos with his attack speed reduction second skill + Dominance Ice and then a marksman standing at the back like Hanabi with weakness finder, Argus won't be an issue.

The only good thing they can do for Argus is auto activation of his Ult as long as it's available. Since his Ultimate works almost the same as Abaddon from DoTA 2. Like they can also make Argus have his Ult Auto activate at some threshold like let's say when only 10-20% of his HP is remaining, ULT will auto activate. This would be a really good feature

One thing you forgot to mention about the Passive Nerf is that you no longer gain Energy while hitting turrets, this essentially removes Argus ability to split-push but more active when it comes to teamfights
his early game poke is no longer existent now his only way to deal damage to an enemy is by trading damage. The 1st skill, 2nd skill, BA (keep basic attacking until the curse duration is over), dash out combo is no longer possible

For argus main, i still want the developer put a pasif effect that his ultimate can be trigger automatic when gets a fatal damage...like abbaddon do in dota 2, it will help him a lot
Moonton seeing argus getting picked lately so they are giving him buff so they can nerf him more.
The ult is confusing but if u noticed patiently the fatal damage ult is visible mark. I think the only 1 ult is better with a 26 or 30 sec cooldown.

If you get confused when it will end then you probably use your ult too early with high hp remaining. The change was cancelled but if it does make it back, they should also add a transformation delay like YZ.
If you might not notice elgin the passives damage and hp recovery has been reduced to 50 points and you no longer generate malice energy when attacking turrets.
Bring back the bleed on 2nd skill - Or allow him to cast his second skill while pulling the chain on skill 1 - Even better extend his attack range during Ult - Allow the sword to swing from the chain - like the season skin animation where he grabs the sword with the chain. (Something like Freyas ult attack buff but you can give it an effect like Julians Passive)
This gives an pre-revamp Freya vibe where freya deals damage to nearby enemies when casting ULT
I don't mind the long cool down, Immortality maxing at 8 seconds with phase 2 activating last? Bonus movement for better chasing?

If you gain something, you lost something. Argus ult supposed to be focused on survival rather to killing spree mode so his ult makes his damage lower so that he will not abuse too much counter.
2 more things:
- Argus' ult no longer has debuff removal (purify effect).
- Argus' passive no longer works on turrets.

I'm an argus user before, for me just adding the movement speed when using his ult is enough because he's still too dam slow while chasing enemies also, the removal of auto passive regen was kinda sucks because in early game that is one of the only thing you can do to harass an enemy. I hope they just add additional movement speed while using his ult, "not too much" but still balance.
They can remove the regen on malice energy entirely since Argus is heavily reliant on basic attacks to further adjust the changes in my opinion

Now its more beneficial for argus to use ult from the get go when there are enemies beside. He doesn't need to wait until his hp is low since it'll be an automatic 3 second ult wasting the 5 seconds. If he used the ult at low and hp and immediately taking fatal dmg resulting in a automatic 3 second ult, as seen in the video everytime he presses ult, he does it after waiting to get low and always getting a 3 second ult.
This is kind of balanced leaning more on the op side than weaker side, as an argus main his first skill dashes are enough for me chase people since the first one is a grab and the second phase is literally just flicker. Now he has the ult movement speed boost that happens twice with dragon spear. Ill be on literal demon time if argus comes out like this no one will be escaping
In short, they turned him into an immortal Zilong.

what he need is the CC and suppression immunity during his ult.. and bring back the curse damage of his 2nd skill

I think players will often use his ult to chase than it's original purpose: to be immune to death and survive clashes

What I don't like about the revamp is the energy not regenerating automatically, it kinda feels annoying especially on when bursting enemy hero on team fight participation
i say this is pretty balanced, removing the increase of malice energy is tough for argus because his passive is his main tool for fights, but with the new ultimate, he can gain allot of energy
Think of argus ultimate as a second bar sustain for 5 seconds, You need to ult fast and all in because your passive is basically guaranteed every 0-2 basic when you have attacked enemies using ult and second skill,
also note that he no longer gains energy over time and only BA regens his warmonger
As an Argus main with more than 1,300 matches, I feel like the rework on his malice is a huge nerf for him. I’m not gonna say that he’s unplayable anymore but his early game will be much more difficult because the malice/energy regen helps a lot when it comes to poking heroes, specially against those tanky exp lane heroes like Yu Zhong, Khaleed, Ruby and many more.
For example, Yu Zhong lvl 3 is already strong enough to kill Argus with his 3 skill combo + petrify. People will say that you shouldn’t go near. If you don’t go near then you won’t have the gold and exp + the malice for the passive from minions, exp laners in higher ranks will exploit that weakness because he won’t have enough damage to make that Yu Zhong’s health go down bit by bit to make him scared to go close so that Yu Zhong will just zone you out forever. Facing Yu Zhong or the other sustain heroes is already difficult in the early, how much more difficult would it be for a squishy hero to face them without his only sustain(regen from passive).
4:02 in this clip here, if he had the regen for his malice, his passive probably would’ve been full or he can just wait for a bit in the bush to get him by surprise and just by using his 1st skill + passive + 2nd skill combo would’ve been enough to kill him if saber’s health had been a bit lower. A hit and run combo because you can actually activate his passive and 2nd skill at the same time if your fingers are fast enough.
I’m happy about what they did to his ult, the movement speed increase is brilliant because it will really help chase down the enemy much easier and the extra 3 seconds will be excellent for tower dives(something that I do all the time against those players that likes to spam recall. Now moonton gave me 3 more seconds to spam recall on his dead body under his tower🤗).
However, Argus is most of the time faced with burst/poke/chase heroes(those who can deal high damage instantly and is also able to get away quickly) so the delay on his ult will be a major weakness for him. If the enemy’s braincells are working properly, they’ll just wait him out in the bush and kill him instantly before his ult comes out.
Overall, I think this rework is not that bad, it’ll definitely change Argus players’ play style and I’m happy that moonton is finally giving Argus some love after all the butchering he’s gone through.
Imagine thinking you outrun the argus but he gets hit by a turret and his movement speed gets reset💀
Basically increases the risk of using the ult last second. Pretty good change since when I first started using him I kept getting too risky and kept dying right before I used the ult. Better in teamfights now and still useful in split pushing, actually even more useful since he has a bunch of movement speed buffs. Imagine spamming this with fleeting time and dragon spear 💀 bro is basically hakari.

the only thing that i care is his energy regen.. i always going to exp lane and ready to get passive turned on, so now its like using dyrooth that he need to fill his passive by hitting the creep before going to clash in exp lane
Its basically a heavy nerf on him. The only thing thats buffed with his skill set is that his ultimate explodes when activating. The cons far longer ult cd, no malice passive energy recharge, hes pretty much just an easy kill without ult since they removed that energy recharge.
Weaker split push too
This is somewhat good. Basically he now need to use his ult at half hp instead of timing it properly when at low.
Hope moonton just don't nerf him to obsoleteness again, just like the past Argus revamps
The additional 3seconds immunity is for emergency like when harley's ult is locked on you and argus cant attack it, that fails the meaning of immortal cause you can't counter it, sometimes DOT is also a nightmare for argus.

Now Argus is more useful than ever.
Tbh my only complain is that we don't have control over this 2 phases of ultimate, and will often times only get 3 seconds of ultimate because we're used to ult at low hp, as seen at elgin's clip. I'd rather if the duration of 1st phase reduced to 4 sec, and 2nd phase reduced to 2 sec, but they stack. This change would actually reward low hp ult, because if you receive fatal damage, then the duration will stack to 6 secs.

how i would personally buff argus:
1. make his ult an automatic skill, no need to tap it manually, it will activate once u receive fatal damage, but ofc enemies will be able to see if u have ur ult, think of it like nana's passive indicator
2. keep the "aoe damage upon activation" of his ult, but remove the pause on it, its gonna be irritating when ur tryna run or chase
3. never touch his skill1 n 2 ever again, cuz i think they're pretty balanced, maybe a damage boost could help or nah?
4. make his ult duration only 5secs, cuz goddamn players are already overreacting on it
