Yeah no you had me at : moving engine back ~6", and ~5" down.. dude, that's a big deal - and well-worth the effort !! (lower Center of Gravity - and more-like mid-front-engine.. all for the magic !!) Rock on !!
Great job Angel, great idea using wooden dowels. I have used scraps of things to mock up things too. I was even a machine builder for a few years and if the drawings from the engineers needed to be altered we would use scraps or whatever to test trial fit things, then have the drawings amended. Happy Holidays to you and your family 😊
Angle, you are quickly becoming one of my favorite automotive UA-camrs! This is good stuff!. Oh...and from a fellow pilot...keep that training going too! The feelings that time in the air gives you, will support that peaceful high (pun intended) for a lifetime.
Thanks buddy you’re video helps a lot, I’m doing the same on my A ford, and being a hobbyist means I usually know enough to get into trouble 😊😊 God bless
You made all of this SO clear! I never understood steering geometry...this makes that subject less obscure. Back in the day, folks drove Mustangs without power steering. Given this lowered engine setup and more of its weight OFF the front end, I trust this car won't be a handful for you on the twisties. Your car isn't weighed down with all the excess stuff manufacturers have to ladle on by the ton. I hope you all had a Mele Kalikimaka! Wishing you Hau'oli Makahiki Hou for 2025!
I think for me that was one of the most satisfying mods so far - simple but effective. Reminds me when I was doing something similar and had to shorten a steering column and then find a column to rack coupling. Luckily I stumbled across a coupling from another car that was perfect. I don't think there were kit like that available back then which may have mad things a lot easier. Keep up the good work!
Hi Angel seems the spacers are there to stay. I’m thinking if I was building it manual steering would be the way to go. Saves having to figure pump mounting and hose routing. Keep up the great job. Stay cool
Like Sarah says every once in a while that is the way it goes when she is the only one doing all of the work or at least the biggest majority of the work. You cant always get things done when you would like to get them done
Great video and progress Angel 👍. It's good to see you use sponsorship deals to further your progress of products you use and trust. Now go tell that friend of yours to do the same in regards to sponsorship on her car channel. She's really making it hard on herself. Anyway - Merry Xmas 🎅 🎄 to you and yours and a happy 2025. Greetings 👋 from the Netherlands🇳🇱 .
Was the install pretty "straightforward"? Because the existence of steering joints says otherwise 😆. I'm playing obviously; Merry Christmas, and New Year. Can't wait to see more of this build.
I have to ask. Why not cut out a small section of the bottom of the front bottom corner of the oil pan and reverse the curve? Make it an innie instead of an outie???
yeah grind those welds out and do a continuos run no stop start better penetration= stronger weld, what you got there is a series of tacks,no good for structural stuff, otherwise i am enjoying these entertaining videos

Im so curious to the difference it will make! If it does… 😂
Mocking it up with wood dowels was pretty smart. 👍
And HOLY CRAP that's a big change in engine location! Should be great for road racing.
**refresh** **refresh** **refresh** New Rookie Pilot video?! LET'S GGGOOOOOO!!!
Never seen a steering system installed before. Using the wooden dowels was a awesome idea! Another item checked off the list.
Go-Karts.. guitars.. blonde pompadour.. and shafts!! This UA-cam channel just gives, and gives, and gives.. HAHAHAHA!
lol action packed! 😂
Good stuff dude! Moving the car around got at least 38% easier!
That percent is extremely accurate
Soon as I heard double D, I knew I would like this video.
I couldnt put half of what i said here because it was so much “Shaft / DD” talk 😂

Hey thanks! Will hit the books a lot these coming days, need my written but keep messing with the mustang instead..😂
@@rookie__pilot Get the written done and then it’s all about the flying.
Good idea with the wooden dowelling rods
Nice work, Angel... the car project is really coming along... cheers, Rick

Thanks Gary! Atleast you got it done one way or another! 🤘🏼

It's like we're synced up again on what we're working on. 😉
Let me in on the secrets! What are you up to 👀

oh si, i know you are tres leches con café y azucar into this, and to think it is legal. feliz navidad compa.
Being able to steer our way into the new year is good progress indeed. Happy Holidays! Cheers! 🎅🛞🏎🏁🏁

Well done. That’s excellent work right there. This episode was a great Christmas present.
The trick to smoke on the water, is finding things that aren't instruments to play it on🤘
Merry Merry🎉🎉🎉🎉
Nice job. It took me a week to figure that out on my 68.
I like that ac/ dc song cool man 😊
Happy Holidays
Keep up the great work
Continue your success in 2025 🎉🎉🎉
Vanilla Slice hair colour that's your new rap name.
I would've probably modified oil pan instead of adding so many spacers. Would be nicer, but much more work.
Happy holidays! 🎄🎉
Definitely more work lol, i dont want to crack open the engine again 😂
Great video
and I thought the elephant in the room was the blonde hair on top of your head 🤣
👱🏼♂️
Very nice job it looks good. 👍🖐💯🇵🇷🇺🇲😎

Steering is a great way to end 2024
Dude! the more I see the more I like! I am a Tele guy....too many cars and too many guitars. Happy holidays.
I'm impressed with your abilities to solve engineering problems.
Do you have formal training?
Great video!
Thanks!

LOL youre kinda right 😂
Oil pan mods like Sarah n Tuned, she got Charlie to tube the pan?
Merry Christmas from Australia 😊
I thought ab it… but i dont wanna 😂
No, Angel does not suck at guitar. Angel, instead, excels at avoiding the UA-cam copyright monster 😁
THERE WE GO 😂
Now, you should paint the steering shafts to look like wooden dowels.
I was wondering what color to do… but now youve given me inspiration 😂
New go-kart? When are you going to call out Sarah for a race on go-carts.
My only concern would be the ability to grease the support bearing. At some point you may need to do that. I didn’t see a grease able port on that.
Could you build a pirate ship next? 🦜 ⚓
Yes
Hey Angel, when are we going to see more flying videos and how long before you get your license?
Great question, using this month to study my written! Will get my butt to it so we can post more Aviation!
@@rookie__pilot Okay that is great and good luck on the written test.
👍👍
I have to ask. Why not cut out a small section of the bottom of the front bottom corner of the oil pan and reverse the curve? Make it an innie instead of an outie???
Would Ozzy play metal tunes on the guitar?
Nice Junk 🙀🐧🐧🐧🙀🙊 🐈 🐈⬛😺

“Series of tacks” is the best description 😂😂
Yes youre right, will do b4 paint
Feliz Navidad, Angelfruitcake (get it fruitcake, Christmas. yea see what I did there…okay I’ll shut up now 🤠)
💯👌🏻👍🏻
Deadlines are made to be broken.
Temu has a steer by wire mod for $8. 😂
STEER BY WIRE NOO😂
Hammer fit problem
If only that could fix all my problems…😂
