Now instead of picturing a young Christian Bale shouting Cadillac of the Skies as the P-51 flies by I will have the though "Cessna 152 Miata of the Skies!" burned into my brain.
This was fekkin cool. I liked your climb rate description....."2 to 3 business days". Now. All that needs to be done is to get Sarah to help you with her contacts.........and then review an A-10😁
Those landings looked GREAT to this non-pilot! You look like you enjoy EVERY aspect of your aircraft! Flying it, learning everything about it and working on it keeps you interested. That old cliché about the best days of owning an airplane being the day you buy and the day you sell it WON'T apply to you. You are...Zen?... about your aircraft. You are present and in the moment. You don't hire a strange aircraft for a little fling; you are immersed in the nuts and bolts of every aspect of aviation simply by experiencing your plane. Looking forward to more flying videos whenever YOU want to make them. I enjoy the flying, the fibreglass car and Scrappy, too. Aloha!
This is a great video! Got turned on to your channel after watching you struggle with Sarah’s go kart then this video popped up. As a fellow pilot you’ve earned a subscriber! I fly commercially so hopefully I run into you when I get in the Phoenix area! Keep flying high and producing these great videos! (Also that Crown Vic is sweet, the wheels got me 😂)
What a hoot! I haven't seen an aircraft review on You Tube before. Just like cars, each is an individual. Can't wait on your multi-engine rating and that 747 solo. :)
I did my basic flying training on a 60's C150, its an aircraft that I will always have a soft spot for and would happily fly one again. I even managed to fit my 6' 1" lanky frame into one! They are sadly very expensive to operate in the UK as they have to be maintained by a certified mechanic otherwise I would likely have bought the one I trained on.
You just brought back a lot of good memories. My dad removed the wheel cover's because of the weight, yes its about almost 30 pounds off of airplane. He was going to get his instructor certification, but 9/11 cancel his flying days, since the insurance went up to the point where it was costing more than before 9/11 . Plus i think what really happened was his health, both of those issues grounded him. Yes many flights in 150's 152's 172's 182's. Cardinal RG was one of my favorites.
Started out my flight training in a Citabria and it was a steep learning curve. Then moved to a Cessna training center and the 150 and it was a world of difference! Super easy to fly....get one in a spin and it literally will recover on it's own!
I got my PPl 3/70, trained in J3 Cub, PA-22 Piper Colt, Cessna 150, Cessna172 and 182 also Piper 140 and 180 planes. The plane I liked the most was the Piper Colt very responsive on the controls for a training plane also the best plane for doing spot landings, chop the power had the glide ratio of a anvil. 😎🛩
I was wondering, while doing my course a long time ago, north of the border, it was so hot when we were on the ground during summertime in these 152s/172s. On hot days (Canada hot days), it was almost unbearable. How do you cope with the heat in Arizona, it must be hell in the cockpit when you are doing the engine runup, system checks, and before take-off checklist
I trained and got my certificate in 152s and I'm 6'3" Tight? You betch'ya, but that was in 1983, and I was much more limber than I am now. Too tight for me now. I'm flying a Cherokee 180 now.
Don't wear sunglasses all the time - especially not at the beginning! (pls). It is not very inviting to the viewers to deny them reading your eyes and facial expressions. Apart from that - well done!

My first flying hour and Private pilot check ride occurred in a 1978 Cessna 152.

Very cool - have you watched Xyla Foxlin's videos on her cross country (and back) in her 140?
Ill check it out!

Aye! Thanks for the sub! Yea i only fly these tiny planes lol!
Nice C152! wheel pants gain about 2 knots but add 18 lbs. (fairings & hardware)

That bird is very well taken care of for sure.
My 2 favorite Cessnas are the T-37 Tweet and the 0-2 Skymaster.

Usually I like my reviews fancy, but this one was .......... plane! Awesomely shot video, when you're back in Portland, you can review the Maule 180C!
Hi Angel really nice plane! Sweet it’s in such great condition. Nice video! Stay cool

Fantastic video!! Only sticking point....Aircraft is used for both singular and plural. Cheers mate
Aircraft is the plural of aircraft. Aircraft's is the possessive.

J3 cub is one of my bucket list planes!
This is a great review, great footage and visuals. Now I'm curious if you will put in a scoring system as well kind of like Sarah!
Nice job! Fun to watch.
Iain and Sahara
Special thanks to you guys, glad you enjoyed! 🤘🏼
You are doing good on any airplane to gain more than 1 knot with wheelpants. You need to fold the gear into the fuselage to see 15 knot gains.
@@1shARyn3 well said!
Such an interesting video, thanks!
Excellent video! Good advice.
Nice review Angel. The landings…I don’t know. Need some improvement. You had almost a 1/2 inch of bounce on the second one 🧐
😂
Thanks.. 😂
I wondered why your UA-cam is called the Rookie Pilot. Now I know...Awesome!
Nice
Wait until you fly a Sparrowhawk 152- Tiffany would be a good candidate.
Reaching "groundbreaking speed" is hardly desirable in any aircraft. 😉
@@bsmirnov well.. youre right 😂
Played at 1.25 speed, the radio chatter sounds like NYC area radio.
Lol!

Nice job! PPL yet? Tiffany does look very good. We will have to fly together some time.....
We definitely must take a trip! 🛩️
Awesome I enjoy your videos. Wish I could fly an airplane.
Thank you! Maybe one day we’ll go on a cruise! ✌🏼

Dam near it
Pegasus.

Come fly in my Piper Tomahawk. You will likely change your mind.
Lets do it 👍🏻
What's the zero to sixty? Braking performance?
Great great point, i was a on a bit of a time crunch and didnt get to every point i wanted. Next time!
I trained in those, so I'll throw out my 1 cent worth. Zero to sixty, we'll get there at some point. Breaking performance, there are breaks?
@@JustaPilot1you edited this and still misspelled “brakes”?
