      There are tons of great ones! I always check out Lori Tata's latest @LorisBostonFound - she's been in the game for a long time and knows her stuff, Gloria at @VIAGLO is an absolute blast and never fails to make me laugh. Hustle at Home Mom @HustleatHomeMom is great and sources from lots of different kinds of places, McKenzie at @McThriftzie is great and finds some INCREDIBLE stuff, and has her customer base beautifully dialed.
      Hopefully these tags work so you can just click on through - if not, if you just paste their names into the search bar, you'll find them!

    Isnt DB Sport David Benjamin? At least that was a DB Sport line from a while back....maybe they sold the name? I also thought of DB Dennis Basso but I dont think he has a sport name in any of his lined and thats not really his style. Hmmmm, please let me know what you find out, my curiosity is piqued.

      Ok, so this isn't concrete, but I THINK this is from a designer named Daniel Benjamin (thanks for mentioning David Benjamin - he's a designer, but I don't think the guy behind this - I'd never have found Daniel Benjamin if you didn't mention DAVID Benjamin!) Looks like a lot of the Daniel Benjamin pieces are in this boho vein - lots of pretty embroidery and interesting dye techniques! Thank you! I think you solved the mystery!!

    I also found a belle Chiara piece a while back. It was a beautiful organic cotton raffia vest. I was blown away by the quality. No luck selling it yet... I guess I'll just save it for my niece.

      Aren't they just so special? Not the worst idea to save it for your neice! You can always sell it after she's grown out of it! I don't think those pieces will ever go out of style...

    Hi Julia! Excellent haul as always. So I found a Rebe by Debra Weiss dress at a regular Goodwill store it was in a new rack I paid $7 and sold it for around $55. It only took about weeks. What caught my eye was it looked so unique and it did say hand made. You got a great piece I'm sure it will do great. 😊

    Another keyword for that very first frock that you described as "grosgrain" is "faille." I love that frock! I always thought grosgrain was a term for trims such as ribbon and faille was for yard goods, but I could be wrong -- use both!!!!

    • @JMSquaredVintage
      @JMSquaredVintage  3 місяці тому +1

      Isn't it so fabulous?! Hmmm - you might be right! I always called it the same thing, but I could always be wrong (I am, after all, forever and ever learning new things all the time!) I'll for SURE use both - there's probably lots of other people out there using those words interchangeably too... EXCELLENT call!!

    • @charlottemccaig578
      @charlottemccaig578 3 місяці тому +1

      @@carissagreen9595 You are correct! I've sewn garments for 60+ years and Faille is the fabric. They are similarly woven and look alike in the weave but grosgrain is for ribbon/belting. You don't see much Faille used anymore which is a shame. It makes beautiful dresses and coats.

      ...and hey - I think it was you who mentioned you loved that green Missoni Dress. Unfortunately, I did find a little hole in it, so I'm not going to sell it. It's yours if you want it (it might even be fixable, if you or someone you know has any knit chops, or even hidable with a few stitches...)! Like last time, I'll just hold on to it as long as needed until whenever you pick something up again. As always, absolutely no pressure - I can easily donate it back, and absolutely NO rush on anything - I'll hold on to it as long as needed if you want it!

    Do you use the "key" words in your listings or further down under theme or description?

    • @JMSquaredVintage
      @JMSquaredVintage  19 днів тому

      The Short answer is yes, all of the above. In my listing title, I use my most heavy hitter words - that's usually descriptors, for example: Everlane Black Pima Cotton Slim Fit Long Sleeve Turtleneck
      In the body of the description, i make sure to reuse all of these (in a readable format), and add in as many additional descriptors (i.e. soft pima cotton, etc.), and add in style keywords (i.e. minimalist, closet staple, capsule wardrobe, etc.) Then in the tags, I again use those heavy hitter descriptor keywords.
      Hope this helps!
