Greatly enjoy watching Harry play. Always talking through what’s going on in his head. I feel this is what makes great content. Others find it as dead moments. But I find it’s great.
well first thing i can say is, definitely need to improve the FPS rate on this. Like it's running at 15 when it should be running at like 30, idk if this a encoding problem with the obs but i promise you if your computer can't handle 1080 or higher just stick to 720 or 480. It's better then sacrificing the FPS
I am used to the newer stuff and wow did the production quality increase. Not to say this is bad - it isn't, but the additional scenes with the players describing why they are choosing to do something, graphics for sideboarding, etc. really elevates the newer stuff.
I reckon this is great! Can still see the hands, and tell what's going on. They are clearly less fancy than the feature matches, but the casual, friendly feel totally makes up for it. If it's one fancy match or 2-3 of these I pick these! The frame rate was bad at the beginning but got fixed, the only odd bit is the massive space under the player cameras. Love seeing paper magic again, looking forward to more of this, watch over breakfast kind of content. Much love!
17:48 You in fact *can't* tutor for Engineered Explosives with Urza's Saga. EE has a mana cost of {X}, which is neither {0} nor {1}. Since Urza's Saga is looking for mana *costs* of {0} or {1} (rather than mana values), it can't find EE. EDIT: I see that Carl correctly points this out at 33:15.
Overall the video looks nice and i have to say, that the actual gameplay in the center is abit too small for me. I feel like i dont get much from the constant showing of the decks that are played on the bottom^^
Sad to see the feature match get less iterations, but totally understand the decision. Would love to see some feature matches with Jamin and Carl still, seeing them play each other on camera is my favorite.
I think two things would be great. A) just cutting the shuffling out. And b) show the cards in hand with some second cam. These were the reasons feature matches were better than the average scg content.else. Keep it up!
I like the idea of Twitch gameplays, a bit like StarCityGames does. They have a man that reads Twitch chat, I guess having one here would be more practical for you
A few suggestions: 1) have a second camera aimed at each hand (over shoulder perhaps) 2) a bit more light from the back to see hand/play area a bit better 3) possible a different background/differently lit background. It may just be the lighting tbh. Other than that loved the gameplay, especially love in these friendly matches when explaining the why for certain plays.
I think you should turn off the auto white balance on the camera that is recording from above because it constantly switches between different temperatures. I wish that instead of the 2 cameras pointing at players heads that they were pointed at their hands, but I understand why other people would like this more. Just my personal opinion. I would personally remove the pictures and replace them with a larger life total or maybe a larger picture of a card that is being played for those who don't know the cards.
A couple of problems for me: first: please fix the framerate, it's pretty bad, second: there are a lot of dead moments, like the shuffling and the thinking, i'd love to see some kind of editing. That said, if this means that we will see more of this serie that's not a big problem, I still love this kind of content!
Like it, but all the explanations of why you do the things you do goes a bit against the competitive character of the game from my personal perspective. You give each other information that should not be available.
I mean, I kinda get it, but these aren't competitive games, the goal (imo) isn't to play at the highest, most competitive level possible, it's to provide in depth game play where u and I and all the other viewers can hear what the players are thinking and the lines being considered. To each his/her own, but I know I personally prefer hearing the explanations of lines taken.
@@willgary8792 I understand. Normally, in the edited version of gameplay, I also appreciate it. Perhaps the word "competitive" is a bit ambiguous in this context (as in casual vs competitive), but Modern to me is competitive by nature. Being more of a Commander player, I see Modern as always "play to win" - and that to me personally also is the charm of it. Like this it feels more like playtesting, for me it just takes away a part of the tension that makes watching games exciting. Anyway, I'm not trying to convince anyone of my point, it's just my personal experience of course 🙂

I enjoyed this thoroughly, could you do am ultra budget challenge with a 10 dollar total price.

At 9:10 the best Verdant Catacombs i've ever seen. Fetch for Basic Mountain 🤣👍

At 15:00 the wooded foothills doesn't actually get a swamp? Especially after you say there are no fetchable lands. So proud I spotted that ;)
There was another wrong fetch earlier the same game. Verdant catacombs found a mountain :D
Like others have said, frame rate is scuffed, but the audio is good, which is the most important.

I really like the VODs! The setup is really cool as well, way better than the usual upload of boring mtgo VODs

It's amazing how many people make this mistake. I (Dan) made it in a video earlier this year as well. One day we will learn :D
Lets's go, nice to see Harry vs Carl ;)))

Perfectly balanced as all things should be.

Appreciate the feedback. We are looking at this all for the New Year, so this kind of response goes a lot further than it may seem.
Abrupt decay can bypass chalice on 2 i think
Love watching HarryMTG play. Is there more gameplay videos with him coming?
We may have something down the line planned :)

Ragavan is not a part of Classic Jund.
Putting Azorius Control over Teferi's head does not look good 😀
We never liked his eyes!
Man.. Stop putting thumbnails with open mouths. Just looks bad and these aren't reaction videos for teens haha

You really don't know how to fetch 😎
I don't like like this kind of videos. See the hand and the played cards properly was the best for me in the cardmarket videos.
