I soaked my jacket in a saltwater brine when I first got it, which makes the material much less stiff and broken in feeling. Because obviously I'm not going to break in the jacket through hard labor being a lazy fashion nerd.

I like the point that this is a very distilled piece of menswear. This jacket is all function and no frill. Obviously with the Harrington you've got buttoned collar, buttoned pockets, elasticated hem and cuffs, as well as usually some sort of patterned lining.
I still have mine from my middle school days in 2005. It's a 15 year old jacket and still wears fine. Glad I originally bought it oversized otherwise I wouldn't be able to still wear it. The color hasn't faded much and with no rips, only a couple of wear marks on the edges of my sleeves, and with the only major damage being a broken zipper, it still has plenty of wear. Not sure if Dickies changed the logo position, but mine has it on the chest.
looks way cooler when it rips and fades a little bit tbh. gives it personality. i dont agree with buying them prefaded though i think the whole point is to have your own personal wear and tear

Super versatile piece, it's good if for some reasons you need to limit your wardrobe and this jacket can be some kind of "a base" too in your wardrobe. I like the Dickies Eisenhower, I also really like the Red Kap Eisenhower, the Red Kap just looks better and for some reason, it has a nicer fit. However, the Dickies is far superior quality wise with stitching, like, hands down better quality.
One of the most uncomfortable jackets I ever wore. Yeah the quality was great but it was too stiff restrictive to move around in. I threw it in the donate bin. Also, the price skyrocketed. I think I paid $40 when I purchased it in 2010, the lined version. I will say I liked the little logo label…it tells the world you purchased a quality item, not some cheap piece of gear.
This jacket can make anyone look good. Thats the main reason why I love work jackets. Simple and straightforward.
Id recommend going a size down from what you normally wear.

if you use a seam ripper, you can remove that dickies tag in less than a minute; i do that with every dickies, and carhartt, piece i buy.
