Very glad to hear that we got to hear this one together for the first time. ❤ Thank you also for the compliment. I'm usually good with languages, but I only ever learned 2 (French and English) aside from my mother tongue. I also tend to change accents in both English and Serbian depending on who I'm speaking to. Might be why I was attracted to languages almost all my life (since I was 4 years old). Might also be why I care about the lyrics and the language of each song - languages fascinate me. Each one reflects a different kind of thinking. What fascinates me even more is that Lara feels that and depending on the language of the song, her attitude changes, her expression and even her way of singing. She's well worth checking out, although not every song is everyone's cup of tea or not always the right time for it. They do tend to be very emotional, so I get why it can be hard to enjoy them unless you're really in the mood for that type of music. As always, love to Norway! ❤❤❤

She's not only multi-lingual but multi-genre, and this song is a wonderful representation of both. Her tone, especially towards the end where it builds, is just perfection.
I’m always so happy to see your Lara reactions. ❤ Her ability to speak naturally in so many languages amazes me. She had an hour and 45 minute interview on the Abtalks UA-cam channel recently in English. She was quite philosophical, and her use of the English language went way beyond basic fluency . I’m sure you would enjoy watching that interview. My love for her music has me attempting to learn French, no easy task at 57, but it’s always good to keep learning, right? My high school level Spanish lets me pick out a few words now and then in Quedate.
I can't get passed it myself. Whatever the language it sounds like it's her native tongue. She is exceptional in so many ways. As you can probably tell, I never learned Spanish, but it's nice that I've heard it enough to be able to pick up some of it (hopefully not incorrectly). Like French and Italian, it is a very melodic language and Lara makes everything just a tad bit more beautiful. Each song I hear is a joy to listen to. Wishing you success with French. It not easy, but it's worth it. It helped me appreciate Je suis malade much better than if I only understood the English translation.
Hello Aleks, another wonderful song in Lara's early career repertoire. I can confirm that she has no accent when she sings in Spanish, it's my mother tongue... Thank you very much for coming back to our favorite singer.
Hello, welcome back!! Nice to see you again here Aleks. 😊. This is one of my favorite in Spanish , written in 1999, and I just love the way she dance and look at the camera in this video, she is so sensual and feminine . Furthermore, I'm italian so, there is a little bit of latino in me, and I love those rhythms... Yes u got more in Spanish, like Alfonsina y el mar e llora... Well... Watch out that both are really sad songs facing hard reality like suicide and women murders .. And expecially llora, the video clip is " let's say a little bit heavy". But, she is great... Just great. ❤️
Happy to see you as well! ❤ It's almost been a month I believe, but then again, I did include other artists leaving a bit less days for me to react to Lara alone. Alfonsina y el mar and Llora were jotted down mid-July in your name. I will certainly get to them and with pleasure. I very much agree with your view of her body language and the look in her eyes. Mediterranean rhythms (and food) agree with me very well, too. Couldn't help, but sway a bit while listening to her this time. 😉
Oh. LLORA. Her live version in Russia - heartbreaking. It’s been so long since I’ve watched your channel, I can see I’m going to have to go back and rewatch everything. Otherwise I’m going to recommend a bunch of stuff you’ve probably already reacted to… But once I do that… I’m coming back with a comprehensive list. I am ADDICTED to this woman. Her recent work is simply stellar, as well. Obviously her voice has changed a bit - but my god, she still makes me weep.
@raquelra5878 One of these days, instead of Lara, you're going to make me cry. ❤🥰 Oh, and I did add your name to "You're Not From Here". That's the only one that was on Mary's list and not yours. 😉
@MaryscottOConnorinTC I was away for a couple of hours, but I see you've used them to hopefully have some fun with Lara's music and my reactions. Thank you for spending time on me - it's the most precious currency! I'm about to go quiet for a few minutes until I update my list with yours. Thank you so much, again. Like Raquel said, welcome to Aleks' Team Lara! 😊
@@AleksReactsAbsolutely love that one too. 😍 Of course. And you can sign me up for something else that I’m quite sure is on your list already: “To Love Again” ua-cam.com/video/sKyoLVODMsU/v-deo.htmlsi=W_7ropnxSYVNj__C But, I just think you should make it a double reaction with the French version “Si Tu M’Aimes” (my fave). This link is from “that” concert in Paris… So, you know, the performance gets highly emotional quite quickly… ua-cam.com/video/X750t3h2rWk/v-deo.htmlsi=gJHHib6sTobD8P2e
I love how much you love her. I love her, too, so watching you react with the kind of feeling that I also feel… well, it’s why we watch reaction videos, right? Empathy… Have you watched her Yentl medley yet? I can’t remember. It’s a must see. Absolutely.
Thank you so much and good to see you back after a while! You hit the nail on the head. Empathy is key to wanting to do reactions and watch them. At least for me. I haven't watched it yet, but I see there's a list prepared, so I will be sure to add each song to my list. 😊
Hey, you're doing? Lara is the Queen of resonance, breath control, sustaining long notes, phrasing, the best composer and storie teller. That's why she's known as The Ring. Trained to be an Opera Singer for 10 years at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels (Belgium) from her 8 to 18 years, she won her first singer contest when when she was 14 in 1984, released her first Vinyl in 1986, and her first world wide álbum in 1991, but decided to compose and performe Pop songs. She has been around performing live on clubs, tv and radios since 1986. She's fluent in 4 languages and has already sang in 12 languages perfectly. You should react to her singing Adagio few months ago with the Cellist Stjepan Hauser, It was outstanding!!! Lara Fabian Adagio (London Royal Opera House) ua-cam.com/video/ikWpOJT4y9g/v-deo.htmlsi=9c3wFWA0XiNGBuD PS:She's currently 54 years, touring around the world and she has been also the vocal coach at Francophone version of The Voice in France and Canada for the past 10 years.
Thank you for all the information and thank you for watching this video! 😊 I have to say, that's totally unfair of her. 😉 She's only a few years older than me and she's achieved so much. However, I forgive her, because I'm really, really enjoying her music. ❤ Given that I have already reacted to an older version of Adagio, I do not expect to cover that one very soon, too many songs yet to hear. I did add it to the list as both Eric and Raquel suggested it as well.
Ciao........ LARA è un'esplosione di grazia e di eleganza in questa canzone e la musica.....fantastica. Prova la canzone TO LOVE AGAIN dallo stesso concerto FROM LARA WITH LOVE....è un'eruzione vulcanica 🌋 .Ciao e tanti saluti.
You know, I looked up CW, came up with Curaçao and now all I can think of is how much I want to go to the beach. 🤣 Thank you, Priscillia! The images I've just seen have made me happy!
Lara's concerts have been and will continue to be a benchmark for the French-speaking world. This is one of my favourites "En toute intimité" Full English translation For our English-speaking friends ua-cam.com/video/NMHym4N4UXo/v-deo.htmlsi=W2NtNDdaIQCznKQy
I have added it to my list along with a few other suggestions for the same concert. I don't expect to be allowed to react to the whole thing on UA-cam, but I am going song by song, so hopefully most of it will at some point be covered. 😊
@@AleksReactsthis is both Lara and Lara’s fanbase preferred concert. Pure art and total creativity in the way she transitions from one song to another. Her voice shines better than ever because there is only a piano and a few chords.
You may not "speak" Spanish but you understand a more than adequate amount. Love by the sway of your head and shoulders how much you enjoyed this in such a different way from all her other videos, perhaps having someones arms wrapped around you and settling your head on their shoulder while slowly dancing.🌹A perfect song to close your eyes to and imagine exactly that! "Lora" would be a great other Spanish language video to watch, but make sure to have your tissues ready. It's one of the few Lara videos that I would always say watch first before hearing it performed live. Enjoyed you as always.
Thank you! I am glad I did not misinterpret it. 😊 She made me dance to this song, it was unavoidable and it was lovely. That rose is quite appropriate for this specific song, it seems. I've added Llora several times today to the list, I'll be sure to get to it. Finally, glad you enjoyed the reaction - remains a pleasure to do these with such wonderful support from all of you! ❤
Thanks for reacting to “nuestra Reina Lara” again, Aleks. Her Spanish is just so cute and perfect, but I’m certainly way too biased to say anything, since I think she sings beautifully in every language. Anyway, this song is pure delight and the way she hangs on the words’ last syllables is just melting. It feels like she’s enjoying those notes so much that she’s not willing to let them end… Lara has such a symbiotic relationship with music and uses her voice in such an intelligent way. Absolutely no tension or rush there. She sings as naturally as she speaks… and that’s why, in my humble opinion, her voice is still so well preserved to this day. 🙌🏻
Thank you so much Raquel! So, I was not wrong? Her Spanish is perfect, right? Moreover, I think you again described this performance better than I ever could. "Melting" is an excellent word to use for it. ❤
@@AleksReacts Spanish is her fourth fluent language. And it is perfect in my point of view, although it is not my first language as well, which I consider being Portuguese, followed by English.
@@AleksReactsa spanish woman reacted to it. And even before the song started, just with Lara’s couple of introduction sentences, she said: "oh my god she speaks perfectly Spanish. Spanish from Spain, not from South America. She is incredible" Lol Lara is a language genius. She lived a few months in Spain, in Marbella area, but it was 10 years after this rendition. She wrote another spanish song at that time titled Llora, a very moving one inspired by a terrible femicide that shocked Spain.
Didn't want to tell you in advance that she's coming up so soon, Eric! Hope it was a bit of a surprise (provided you like surprises). 😂 We now have confirmations from actual Spaniards that her Spanish is perfect (reactors and commenters alike). She has an ear for both languages and music, which as a linguist and someone who really likes music I cannot but respect and admire. Llora is getting more and mor popular on the list and seems to come with a warning each time. I will be sure to get to it. It's now time to ask: is Quédate Lara's song or is there an original somewhere out there?
Bonjour de la France 🇫🇷 Merci de continuer à réagir à lara. Tu as quasiment reagi a toute les chansons du concert lara from love, mes il reste encore une chanson exceptionnelle qui s'appelle, you're not from here. J'espère aussi que tu réagira à son album mademoiselle zhivago sorti en 2010, concert Moscou 2010,concert aussi incroyable que lara from love.
Merci Frederic! Currently the list of suggestions/requests for Lara's songs is at 117 (including duplicates and entire concerts/albums as well as what you just listed). As I plan to react to her for a long while, mainly because I personally enjoy it, most of it, if not all will at some point show up on my channel. She's a joy to listen to and I really do like discovering her songs one by one. Kind regards to France. ❤❤❤
Thank you❤ love this song❤ Its grate that you u derstand also spanish😀 you should also react to her cover of mersedes sosa: alfonsina y el mar. Amasing
Thank you so much! I loved it at first listen, so I understand you completely. ❤ I don't think I really understand Spanish, but a word here and there I think I can pick up. It was useful for this song, for sure. I have gladly added Alfonsina y el mar to the list.
🇨🇦 Now you have reacted to all four of her fluent languages ! Time to react to her different expressions ! Check your list for "I will love again" (rock) ! 🇨🇦
You've had your 6 wishes fulfilled, albeit by an accident of pure chaos. 😉 Patience. "I Will Love Again" IS on the list, but the next one I plan to react to is The Prayer. I want to see if it lives up to both expectations (a bit funny and yet musically really good). Kind regards to Canada! ❤❤❤
Can't wait ! Maybe I am the outlier here, but I love most of Michael Bolton's work ! @@AleksReacts To be paired with Lara is like icing on the cake ! 🇨🇦
I can't say I know him sufficiently. I think I heard only one of his songs in my life and not recently. We'll find out soon enough, although it can't be a favor to anyone to be compared to Lara in the same song...
I repeat, to clarify the issue, as I already said, Lara's Spanish is excellent, but if I close my eyes (And without closing them) and I had no reference to her...I would know instantly that she is not Spanish or it is not her mother tongue This does not take away one bit of value. I deeply love and respect Lara as well as Dimash... but my opinion as a native is this. There are people who are quick to correct accented English and I understand it because it is their language. I listened to the song again to give you an example..."Ayer"(Yesterday) normally a native would mark the "y" more. Thank you.
Thank you so much for clarifying it! Might it be one of those times when almost everyone who's in fact Spanish/native Spanish speaker hears it, but it's just not popular to say that there is a bit of an accent after all? I still find it sounds wonderful and to my ear as if she was a native speaker, but then again, I do not speak Spanish at all. I'd probably react like you if she was singing a song in Serbian. 😊 I've had such reactions to Dimash's English and that's not even my first language.

Oh, yes! Evergreen is pure perfection. And to think that she sang it that night without rehearsal is 🤯. Barbra was supposed to be there and, at the last minute, couldn’t make it, so John Williams asked Lara to do it, since she was there to sing “For Always” with Josh Groban, and she simply did it, flawlessly. 🙌🏻 And “Do You Know Where You’re Going To” from Mahogany is such a hidden gem. 💎 I don’t see people reacting to this one and they’re surely missing out, bc it is soooo beautiful. 😍 But let’s not forget her delicious cover of “New York New York”, that I bet would make Frank Sinatra proud. 🙌🏻 ua-cam.com/video/v6JF1Hphlag/v-deo.htmlsi=iKegI5cEdzsp94Sj
Not to worry, I will get to those as well. 😊 Fun fact, you're the first ever to suggest "Do You Know Where You're Going To" unless I really missed something.

one of the songs i like more and more every time i hear it...
It was gorgeous and I am a fan by now. Just learning more about her, song after song. I know what you mean. "I am A-WA" is one of those for me. 😊
It's always great to see a Lara reaction with you and it was wonderful again, just like Lara❤
Oh, thank you so much for such a wonderful compliment. ❤
It's beautiful
Gorgeous, stunning in every way! She leaves a chatterbox like me at a loss for words often enough.
Hello Aleks, another wonderful song in Lara's early career repertoire. I can confirm that she has no accent when she sings in Spanish, it's my mother tongue... Thank you very much for coming back to our favorite singer.
Thank you so much for confirming! I couldn't be 100% sure obviously. I'll keep coming back to her until I'm out of songs to react to, I believe. ❤
Y, her voice is like the angel, she is an Angel .
She is lovely, I agree.
Thank you for your reaction I
Thank you as well for watching it. ❤
Oh. LLORA. Her live version in Russia - heartbreaking.
It’s been so long since I’ve watched your channel, I can see I’m going to have to go back and rewatch everything. Otherwise I’m going to recommend a bunch of stuff you’ve probably already reacted to…
But once I do that… I’m coming back with a comprehensive list. I am ADDICTED to this woman.
Her recent work is simply stellar, as well. Obviously her voice has changed a bit - but my god, she still makes me weep.
Welcome to “Aleks’s Team Lara”! 🙌🏻 I must say I love you already! 🤗😂
And you can sign me up for something else that I’m quite sure is on your list already: “To Love Again”
ua-cam.com/video/sKyoLVODMsU/v-deo.htmlsi=W_7ropnxSYVNj__C
But, I just think you should make it a double reaction with the French version “Si Tu M’Aimes” (my fave). This link is from “that” concert in Paris… So, you know, the performance gets highly emotional quite quickly…

Done, of course. 😉
Love Lara ❤️
Love from Denmark ❤️
Love to Denmark! ❤
You are now one of my favorite reactor, merci Aleks, you are always pertinente...
I am very happy to hear that! It's a lovely compliment to get. ❤ Merci beaucoup!
I love how much you love her. I love her, too, so watching you react with the kind of feeling that I also feel… well, it’s why we watch reaction videos, right? Empathy…
Have you watched her Yentl medley yet?
Lara Fabian Adagio (London Royal Opera House)

PS:She's currently 54 years, touring around the world and she has been also the vocal coach at Francophone version of The Voice in France and Canada for the past 10 years.
Thank you for all the information and thank you for watching this video! 😊
I have to say, that's totally unfair of her. 😉 She's only a few years older than me and she's achieved so much. However, I forgive her, because I'm really, really enjoying her music. ❤
Given that I have already reacted to an older version of Adagio, I do not expect to cover that one very soon, too many songs yet to hear. I did add it to the list as both Eric and Raquel suggested it as well.
🇨🇦 No effort, and yet she really enjoyed singing/sharing that with her audience ! She said it herself, one of her favourites ! 🇨🇦
Looks effortless as ever and we all know it's not really that easy. She's just stunning in every way.
She spreads such joy with singing and moving ...
Yes, she does indeed.
Lara❤
❤
First ! before Eric ! hahaha 🤣
Aha! You did it! 🤣 Let's not tell Eric though. 😉
@@AleksReacts Secret between us haha 😉
No one will ever know. 🤣🤣🤣
Ciao........ LARA è un'esplosione di grazia e di eleganza in questa canzone e la musica.....fantastica. Prova la canzone TO LOVE AGAIN dallo stesso concerto FROM LARA WITH LOVE....è un'eruzione vulcanica 🌋 .Ciao e tanti saluti.
Grazie e saluti anche a voi! Well said. I have added your suggestion to the list. Ciao Italia. ❤
Thank you my love❤❤❤ from🇨🇼🇨🇼🇨🇼🇨🇼
You know, I looked up CW, came up with Curaçao and now all I can think of is how much I want to go to the beach. 🤣 Thank you, Priscillia! The images I've just seen have made me happy!
Lara's concerts have been and will continue to be a benchmark for the French-speaking world.
This is one of my favourites
"En toute intimité"
Full English translation For our English-speaking friends

I have added it to my list along with a few other suggestions for the same concert. I don't expect to be allowed to react to the whole thing on UA-cam, but I am going song by song, so hopefully most of it will at some point be covered. 😊
@@AleksReactsthis is both Lara and Lara’s fanbase preferred concert. Pure art and total creativity in the way she transitions from one song to another. Her voice shines better than ever because there is only a piano and a few chords.
@@AleksReactsYou can watch it for yourself without putting it on youtube
The atmosphere of the concert is remarkably intimate
I could, but then I'd have no Lara to react to as I'd have heard too much. Which is why I'm not doing that yet.
@@AleksReacts Yeah, please don’t watch it in private, we would like to see your reaction☺️
She speaks fluent Spanish, Italian, French, and English.
@PBWaWa Lara does, I don't. @xerezjg52 meant ME not HER when he said that. 😂
She is incredible"
Lol Lara is a language genius.
We now have confirmations from actual Spaniards that her Spanish is perfect (reactors and commenters alike).
@@AleksReacts her original but she didn’t write the lyrics of this one as opposed to a few others, including Llora.
Ud. extendió bastante bien el español, felicitaciones!!!
¡Muchísimas gracias! ❤

Bonjour de la France 🇫🇷
Merci de continuer à réagir à lara.
Thank you❤ love this song❤
Its grate that you u derstand also spanish😀 you should also react to her cover of mersedes sosa: alfonsina y el mar. Amasing
Thank you so much! I loved it at first listen, so I understand you completely. ❤
I don't think I really understand Spanish, but a word here and there I think I can pick up.
@@AleksReacts I'm not sure if funny is the right word, Michael is just a little wooden😁 but musically it's first class. I'm looking forward to it😊
I don't know what to expect, but we'll soon see. 😊
Can't wait ! Maybe I am the outlier here, but I love most of Michael Bolton's work !
@@AleksReacts
To be paired with Lara is like icing on the cake !
I've had such reactions to Dimash's English and that's not even my first language.

Lara the best of humanity

Not to worry, I will get to those as well. 😊 Fun fact, you're the first ever to suggest "Do You Know Where You're Going To" unless I really missed something.
@raquelra5878 You sneaky elf, you've gone and added more to the list, didn't you? 😂 I added both to the list as I already have you down for Evergreen. ❤ You already know I'll keep going. 😉
@@AleksReacts We’re only giving you options and it’s not our fault that Lara is so prolific and everything the woman sings becomes an instant classic. 🤷🏻♀️ Besides, look at the bright side, you have the Best Lara Fabian playlist among all reactors and her fans adore you for thinking outside the box.
