    Great video and I shoot a ruger precision rifle in .308 and have been thinking on the rimfire version as a trainer rifle. I saw that you can remove a stop and it will give you the full bolt travel of a short action like a .308. Keep up the great work and I will agree on the scenery!!! It’s beautiful!!

    Some very good points Piet. I'm not a competitive shooter, but I also have a 223 for practicing fundamentals and varminting. The 223, in my case, is a bit more versatile and it is definitely a lot of fun.

  • @22Really

    So I started shooting PRS centerfire and took a break due to.... I won't go into why. During the break I bought a Ruger Precision Rimfire and Bergara 22. I began shooting nrl22 competitions and our club has transitioned into 22 PRS and it's making me a better shooter so when I start shooting PRS centerfire again I will do better than I did before.
    I like the 22 trainers, lots of practice, less money, less work and more fun.
    And my wife even got hooked into it so I bought her a CZ 457 and put it in a krg bravo stock. There's not many matches she misses.
    Great video and great topic keep them coming brother.

    I would agree with using a 22lr for "training" whether its for matches or positional shooting for hunting/recreation. The one thing I noticed is bad habits with recoil management. Maybe just me? Still have to manage recoil with a 22lr but it isn't like a centerfire rifle.

    • @rfcdgaf
      @rfcdgaf 2 роки тому

      There IS no recoil with .22lr for all intents and purposes, i've been shooting my .22lr trainer 99% of the time, just recently shot my buddys .223 and the recoil jump was... massive in comparison. Would take someone a bit of time to get used to it
