We purchased a suntracker 20ft party barge last summer, it has been awesome, it was a rental boat from the Marina and had 800 hrs on the engine. We had to do very little to this boat, it ran like a champ and now were entering our 2nd summer and thinkjng ahout a lexington.
I bought an OLD one this early spring. I put some time rewiring and pressure washing it. It is unique because it has fiberglass toons which are flat on the bottom so great for beaching if the docks are full. I do need to replace the first 8’ of plywood because of rotting issues, I’ll save that for next year. As far as stability on rough waters, it handles great. I took it out on sea trials with a 25 mph wind and could not get water to come over the bow. I’m happy with it for what I paid. 😊
Bought a used Sun Tracker for a second boat. Well maintained. My other boat is a CC. The only reason I bought this pontoon because it has aluminum support decking. Absolutely no plywood on this SunTracker.. This area has sandbars and islands on the tidal waters Indian river bay and Rehoboth Bay which is good for pontoons and all other boats for party spots and fishing.. pontoons here are gaining popularity. But ....who in the hell would spend all that money on a boat made with heavy 5/8 “ plywood . Last I checked this is the 21st century ..Some ppl have no clue...You should see the pontoon graveyards 1000s in my area with the marine plywood all rotted. I laugh at these fools in my town here at the Delaware beaches spending 100s of thousands on a boat made with plywood especially in all saltwater environment. Bennington is the most popular here as a factory assembled boat at local dealers .That tells you people have money here and no cents buying a plywood deck boat hidden by carpet or vinyl We have local dealer near me WMF Marine who assembles these boats In a small shop to spec is making a fortune and even builds racing pontoons with 450:twin mercs and they are super fast ...If he made me a new pontoon it would be aluminum not plywood
Thanks I'm looking to buy a 14-18 ft next year.. I really appreciate what you're doing..but I got confused was Lexington #1 at worst or #1 best..or was #5 best
We just bought a Viaggio Lago 22s and are disappointed to see it is featured here. We thought it looked pretty well built, maybe not the most luxurious but very nice. What are some of the things that made you put it on this list?
Agreed I own the same boat and very happy with it, I'm shocked to see it on this list and recommend all to do their own research. I say if it was not personally inspected then it should have not been on this list.
@@pontoonlifeforever I'm glad to hear you are happy with it! We just got ours in December so we haven't gotten to take it out much yet. That "worst" label kinda hurt because it sure wasn't cheap! Not nearly as expensive as the Bennington we looked at with the same basic features but much more than we thought a pontoon should cost when we first started our search!
I purchased a 2022 suntracker 22 fish'n barge a year ago and it has been by far the worst boat I have ever had. I have had it back for repairs several times including recalls on the bimini top, trailer lights 3 times and now they tell me the trailer is out of warrenty and it needs a new harness. It was never fixed right the first or second times, just replaced the lights. I do not recommend this brand.
While im not a boat person, i watch channels like "The car wizard" he does a "Buy this not that" series and that *really* helps the layman out. And I think this channel would benefit alot from that format. ua-cam.com/video/VEkg4uTdYn4/v-deo.html (just an example, vids lists starts around 3:30.)

You are spot on Matt. The Lexington has been renamed Palm Breeze today same boat same problems! Just so buyers know not to fall for the name change.
Interesting, was not aware of that... I'll have to dive a little deeper

Thank you so much , need a video for the 5 best too !
Best regards from Red Sea Egypt
In between 3 both brands for first pontoon. Lowe, Veranda and Viaggio. Which you think be the better of the 3 and why?
Thoughts on PrinceCraft Vectra line?
What do you think about Grand Island? They seem to be lower cost.
Your opinion on Landau?? Thank you in advance!

You mention the top 5 worst pontoons/tritoons and #2 worst is the Suntracker yet you also name suntracker as one of the best to buy. WHat gives??
Its not the best... have you watched my Best and Worst or SunTracker review?
Why is Lexington boats bad? Outside of customer service I’m talking about the boats themselves

@@BoatBuyersSecretWeapon Well, maybe it's best if you DON'T do a video on it, just in case we want to sell it someday!!

How does Cypress Cay fit in the list of Best/Worst pontoons? I’m considering the 22 C191. CC is owned by Harris so I would think it’s decent. Thanks!
Nevermind listened to first part what u said again
What is bad on montego bay as an owner I would like to k now
Still wondering why montego bay made the list with no explanation if your not sure maybe remove off list till have an answer thanks al
