- Sur Ron X Unlocked Top Speed Test! (6' 250lbs)// Today I decided to finally do a little top speed test with the green wire cut and testing the Sur Ron's stock speedometer with a speedometer app that I got on my phone. As I've said before, my 2022 Sur Ron X is still an absolute blast to me and I can't wait to get it out and make some more content with it! Let me know what else you guys want to see!

• Sur Ron X Unlocked Top...
i just bought one from luna, and haven't gotten it yet. i'm 5'11", 210. i popped for the 650 lb. rear spring and seat riser to make it more comfy for me and my 36" inseam. 40-45mph is plenty fast for the trails and woods i ride. i rarely go faster than that on my yammers sr185 scrambler, so that will work for me. if i wanna go fast, i'll jump on sweet lucy, the honda gl1100 scrambler i built. it's the fastest, heaviest adv. bike you'll never wanna ride. for me, this sur ron is for stealth trail rides and mushroom hunting, so i don't give away my honey patches. those scrawny punks can say what they want, but i can lift a sur ron over my head and carry it on my shoulder no problem. i doubt they could stand lucy back up when, not if, they dumped it, let alone horse it around off road so, yeah. muscle weighs more than fat, little man. lol.
I’ve got a seat riser on this as well and it definitely helps! Just a more comfortable ride and looks a little more appropriate for a taller person 😅. But I get it! I actually recently bought a road bike, so this is now just my mess around and trail bike! I do love how quiet it is, being able to ride it around any time of day and don’t have to worry about annoying people 😅
@@DRGOAT after i ride it for a while, i may pick up a peg lowering kit, and a better seat depending on how i like it as is. how do you like the stock seat? i've seen a lot of forum posts complaining how hard they are.
Did you try 2-3 different apps to test speed? Also phone mount to test with built in phone gps app. Even if 40mph is max i am more then fine with that. Makes me more tempted to sell my dualtron thunder 2 to get a sur-ron. My scooter is great but I’m finding I’m more inclined towards e-bike. I will know for sure when my onyx comes in.
Keep the videos coming. Being that i weigh 250lbs i have been searching for awhile for sur-ron videos with a heavier rider like me.
Sorry I didn’t see your comment until now! I honestly only tried the 1 app, so it may be off 🤷♂️, I’ll have to get another app and try it. I love the bike just for the fact that it’s so light you can move it around easily and I can have fun on and off road, and any time of day without annoying neighbors 😂. I see there is a new Talaria Sting R out now! 30% more power and built beefier! Just doesn’t have any aftermarket options at the moment 😬

Yes I did! I watched Sur Ronsters video on it and it sure looks like that’s going to be the way to go!

@@WatchDisShit140 that’s what I’m thinking 🤷♂️ I see a bunch of people saying there’s not many mods right now, but it sounds like they’re coming! Personally I don’t have the money to buy a bigger battery for my Sur Ron, so I’m kind of stuck feeling like it’s a fun bike if I’m just taking it on trails, which I know is what it was made for, but for my size and wanting to ride on the road as well, its fine if your in say a 25-35mph zone, but over that I just feel like I’m holding traffic up 😂
I am bummed out quite a bit. Have both my onyx up for sale. Sell them and i will get me the new talaria sting r for sure
@@jimjr9143 I get it! Seeing that is making me wish I would have waited on my Sur Ron haha. I know the Sur Ron has so many aftermarket options, but I personally would prefer something a little beefier that I don’t need to throw more money at
