Is it really the 2023 Modell, or the actual 2022 ? I was thinking 2023 comes a complete new Model ?
I asked the same thing and was told they’re calling it the 2023. It’s def not the 2022 I’ve been using one of those. The reason it’s not being advertised/talked about a lot is bc only certain dealers have them and sur ron wants the other dealers to be able to sell through their older inventory so they’ve kept it kinda hush. (And legally any vehicle that is imported must be sold through an authorized dealer)
The sur ron light bee “x” is a deal sur ron made with Luna dealer to produce an “x” version of light bee which is the “black edition” stripped of stickers and made with some slightly inconsistent parts.
The new 2023 light bee in this video is not an “x black edition” version. It has throttle battery charger and handlebar upgrades, parts are consistent, and comes in three diff colors: black, blue, silver (only the housing around the battery is colored tho, swing arm etc always black)
@@BestDasherAlive thanks for the good information.
also not to be confused with the 2023 storm bee which is their new full size dirt bike/motorcycle (not an e-bike like the light bee).
The 2023 comes with the orange between the forks like you see in this video
@@BestDasherAlive if I just bought one from Luna, will it be the “2023” version?
In comparison to your 2023 Surron LBX, mine I just got out the box acts differently than your video. I'm able to switch from ECO to Sport on the fly without having to stop. My ECO mode from the box tops at 30mph. All this with NO cutting of a green wire. One thing to note is if you are going by the stock speedometer to state your speed, it's not correct. When running several different speedometer apps while reading it varies anywhere from 3mph up to 6mph at times. The apps are pretty consistent to each other with +/- 1 mph difference at times but mostly identical. If you have the wire connector with the red light that came in the box, you can hook this up and set up your regen mode levels, turn on/off your brake sensor and kickstand sensor. There's also an option to select terrain mode or street mode. These 2 vary alot on how the bike accelerates from what I can tell. There's a video I saw on UA-cam where this guy states that on the 2023 there's no need to cut wires. He claims street mode deletes the green wire. Im going to do more research as this wire thing has people saying a lot of different things about it. I'll post any info I find out if different from what I've written here. 👍🏼.
It’s not an x. I never needed to stop to switch between eco and sport. I’ve never used the connector but yes several options with it idk bout the street mode/terrain mode first time hearing that
@@BestDasherAlive oh cool. 👍🏼. Looked like u did in the video.
It's not a "amp" battery. Ah is amp-hours. When you multiply the ah times the operating voltage of the battery you get the watt- hours, which is the actual energy storage capacity of the battery. More watt-hours on a given bike generally means greater range.
Correct
Would you suggest getting a Sur Ron over a Honda Grom for this type of work? Or do you run into having to charge mid shift?
That limiter is so good, if you get pedals, it's classed as an e-bike for roads so you can ride it... I like that
But it’s not tho lol definitely not legal
@@IQ_XoTicyes it is, seen a guy talking to the cop’s about it while he was riding one.
@@amck330 yes but that’s because most cops don’t know e-bike laws
The laws for every state that I know of (most of them share the same laws)
The laws state ‘an electric bike MUST HAVE FUNCTIONING PEDALS’ and even if you get the pedals to work the bike is still 4250 watts over the legal limit lol even In eco mode it’s at least 1k watts over the legal limit of 750 watts so no, no matter what you can’t make a sur Ron technically legal as an ‘e-bike’ in the u.s
however, in some places like missouri and other states it can be considered a moped and in missouri you don’t need to register or license it you just need a drivers license EVEN THEN tho it is still technically illegal unless you always keep it in eco mode
so in conclusion… it CAN be considered a moped in some places but not an e-bike but either way you can almost always get away with it because
1: as long as you aren’t wheelieing down the road they probably won’t care and 2: most cops aren’t familiar enough with the laws to do much on the spot
@@IQ_XoTicnerd, just ride and have fun you party pooper
@@umi.1498 you’re poopy
Part of the reason i’m even dashing is to get one of these bad boys 😂
They’re so fun but they keep hiking up the price of them 😡
Curious to how much you can make doing dash nowadays? I'm about 1000$ from my savings goal before I purchase one so if its worth it ill grind DD all day.
Look at my community posts
My 2023 sur ron light bee x has a 60v 40ah battery, i thought it would be 38ah at first but i guess they upgraded. anybody else?
What’s the actual range of this? How many Doordash miles can you get in before you are forced to charge up? Or are you able to get through an entire Doordash day and charge at night? It states 30 miles per charge on their website but man that seems super low, how the hell are you doing it??
Man I'm about switch to a pedal bike I can barely get 10 deliveries in one charge on my e bike
gotta use multiple batteries or upgrade to battery with more range to go all day but you can still pull good money on one stock battery (ive tested it). these new 2023 stock batteries will do over 40 miles in eco mode. around here there's plenty of 1-3-6 mile deliveries (and they get stacked when busy). on just one solo stock battery you can def get two full charges out of it in a day of dashing (drain it, charge, go back out and drain it again). i average prob around $80 on a battery but if it goes really well i can be over $100 on a battery. so on just one stock battery, drained twice in a day, that can be $150+ in a day (unless offers in your area are very small. if you can get say $8-$11 average offers those numbers are accurate). hope that helps. you might find this video somewhat helpful i also doordash on a much slower ebike: ua-cam.com/video/L0xKYuDZ0aw/v-deo.html
@FBG FUTURE how long does it take to charge back up?
I love your videos!!! Hopefully I’ll make enough money from Doordash to get one of these rigs. They look so fun
⚡️
damn bro you're out in those new developments? i go running over on the trails sometimes and those houses look really nice
That's insane! I want one
So fun
I’ve been searching everywhere for the 2023 model! Where did you find it??
dm me on ig @bestdasheralive
does it has different tyres than the '22 ron?
No
Drop the battery range test vid
I will soon
that thing looks sick. kinda want to buy one hahah
How tall are you, please? Thanks!

@@BestDasherAlive Thanks!
so how do i get the 2023?
the shop that has em should have me shout em out or sum
I just got mine and they dubbed it the 2023 model, and mine battery reads 38.5 ah
damn bro my ep and sport mode both tops out 31mph stock jus difference in power delivery
did you snip the wire?
@@BestDasherAlive just snipped
Check out the new oynx rcr
i will good look i wanna explore more ebikes
Waiting at McDonald's and a guy brings one into the lobby today! He said it's 2023 model tops out at 28mph then he showed me the wires and he didn't have to snip them, they just pull apart then goes 52mph. I thought that was interesting cuz your numbers are much different. 🤔
those are the same #s
2023 model has a new battery and throttle
@@BestDasherAlive oh maybe I was thinking of Granny mode top speed.
Does cutting the wire mess with the life of the motor
Na it’s made to be used with the wire clipped. They sell it “not clipped” for legal purposes
It does mess with the life of the battery. It's drawing more power faster. Which means u will be charging more. Which in sense. Kills the life of the battery faster.
He asked about life of motor not battery. More range out of new battery and longer charge time
You can see if it’s the 2023 model sense the battery has the 38.25 ah number written on it. Older models are less ah

Good video man!
Gracias
So u do the testing but block out all the numbers ? For what reason. Makes 0 sense.
Yea thorough battery range test video coming soon. This was a first look at new 23 light bee
Where can I message you
