The CRAZY GRILLED CHEESE only Italians eat
Вставка

- Mozzarella in Carrozza is what you get in Italy when you want a grilled cheese sandwich. But they get a little crazy and batter and deep fry it and it is Italian comfort food at its finest. Mozzarella in Carrozza translates to mozzarella in a carriage, because when the cheese pulls, they thought it resembled the reins of a horse and carriage. Gotta love the Italian imagination.

The way you talk and lean over to look at the camera makes me feel like I went over to a friend's house after school and now their cool older brother is giving me an impromptu cooking lesson
It almost feels like he has never left his food truck the way he is looking down on you and hunched over

Can’t unsee this now thank you
Pro Italian tip: you can put an anchovy inside the sandwich, on the mozzarella. That goes so well with the mozzarella flavor and its saltiness just amplifies the whole thing.
now give one againts italians to remain impartial
@@bruhmomento5528 Con Italian Tip: Use cheddar cheese instead of mozzarella, that way it will taste fucking terrible!
@@kingnothing4347 fair enough

The anchovy touch! I love that!!
So many cooking channels are a platform for the self-indulgent. Thanks for keeping your ego in check. I haven’t watched an episode that I wouldn’t try. Bravo
In my dad's deli, we used to take a nice, sliced round seeded semolina from Rockland Bakery and make these the same way you did here. We didn't roll this one out all the time, but when we did, we couldn't make them fast enough.
My grandma used to make this for me when I was a kid but her version stopped at the egg and was griddled in butter. Kind of like a monte cristo - grilled cheese hybrid. Different but still awesome.
man i love how famous rockland bakery is around NY :) i drive past it every day going to work and the smell is amazing
The best! My late dad used to always order this for me when I was a kid (he was only half Italian, my mother is full Italian), so anytime I get this now, I always think of him. So fricken delicious!
What I love about your videos is the simple and clear instructions! We just made these today…really excellent! I only had trouble “crimping” the bread edges but might have been due to the bread…but just ensured they were well breaded and they came out great! The chilling time in the fridge after each breading step is essential don’t leave that out…The crispy breading, the bread inside plus the cheese what a great combo…eat it with the basil leaves too!

This is the best preparation I have seen so far for making Mozzarella in Carozza. My preference for a dipping sauce is a caper, anchovy, lemon. and white wine sauce. Having been born and raised in Yonkers NY I have had it with this sauce in quite a few Italian restaurants in the area including the Bronx..
Any idea how you make that sauce? It sounds good!
@@Flippokid Yeah, +1. Drop that sauce.

Can I get your white wine sauce recipe?
I love your casual instructions. This is how you do it, but it doesn’t have to be all precise. You have the perfect blend of explanation as to the why, but also practical tips and how to navigate snafus.
Absolutely beautiful! Can't wait to try this recipe! Thank you for sharing!
Oh my god I have to try this. This is like the perfect rainy day, don't know what to cook, meal for me. Absolutely going to make these this week.
King! Can’t wait to try this one out. I love your recipes! Can’t remember how many I’ve cooked for my family and friends!
Becoming a big fan of your stuff. Excellent video and great job with all the little sprinkling of tips and information.
I get alot of inspiration and ideas from yr channel, 3 weeks now im a chef at this new place (had my own ussines before corona) and all 3 weeks i got at least one dish completely or inspired by your creative good explained video's. Thanks man and keep it up!
This is slowly becoming one of my fav cooking channels 😌
The absolute best channel on youtube, hands down
There is zero chance that this here is anything less than amazingly delicious!!
Cheers! 🥂
Dude this looks good af. I have only watched a handful of videos on UA-cam about making food, then actually made them.
Definitely making this one
WOW!! This looks delicious! Will be trying this out. Thanks for sharing!

Love you, bro! Go Feed Yourself! Making this very soon...... Much Love from South Florida!
I appreciate that you use one hand for the flour and bread crumbs and the other one for the egg, I know some people who don't do that and sometimes it gets on my nerves.
This sounds unbelievably good!
This is like a XL mozzarella stick as a sandwich. Luv it!
This looks incredibly good.
Saving this vid for sure, those look incredible
Making this for new year's, family's gonna love it!
Love it.......I can't wait to try these. Thank you!
Your execution is spot on!
And I thought a regular grilled cheese was already unhealthy enough.
It's amazing. I'm kind of shocked this isn't all over the place on Instagram with the foodie people.
most just depends on how much you eat (instead u use american cheese.. then its unhealthy per sé xDD) the rest is just carbs :D
We eat this sometimes, maybe twice a year, we eat healthy food the most of meals.
@@TheCovenant2 no, not how much you eat, it's timing/food type, and hell no to American cheese
@@billmoyer3254 mate, we talked bout cheese now, so it gets unhealthy really fast, so of course it depends on how much you eat :D if I eat a grilled cheese sandwich a day but otherwise healthy its ok - but eating 10 grilled cheese a day its pretty damn unhealthy :D
I really love dishes filled with cheese. Thank you for this dish
Thank you for this amazing video. After seeing this I subscribed to your channel! I'll be making your recipe this weekend. Cheers :)

Genuine, that’s all it is. When you know a person is real and authentic giving you knowledge like is. All you can do is pay attention. Incredible dish, yet simple. I can’t wait to try this one for the familia.
Ah man this got posted just as I made a grilled cheese haha. Gonna have to try it next time.
I just made Gouda grilled cheese and I’m just now seeing it 😂🥺
Hi at my Restaurant ,I Always save old bread for crumbs and added as a thickener for chilly . And for burger patties . I char broiled the burgers and this stopped them from falling through the grill . I also made a meatball sub to Die for . Great show
"Mozzarella en Carozza." I used to make these when I worked in my first restaurant.
Hi what kind of sauce did you make? I only had it with anchovies sauce . Thank you
Just marinara sauce sprinkled with fresh basil. I'd sprinkle Locatelli cheese over the top. @@bettymacallister3475
I hope you didn't make them like these as this isn't mozzarella in carrozza
So delicious 😋. I'm getting hungry . Looks amazing👏
That looks amazing!...BTW I saw your Roast Beast ribs video. I have plate short ribs on order from my local butcher. Can't wait to make them this weekend!
def trying this
Great recipe. Thank u! 😎
A Canadian here my family has been making this for a long time no Italian heritage but we call it mozzarella Katsu and sometimes instead of bread we use two thin slices of chicken or pork bread is usually used when you want a snack mid day
Dude, looks delicious!
Watching the growth of your show has been an inspiration! During the pandemic I learned how to cook Italian food super well and would love to make videos, either doing that, or for my current career as a music producer/engineer. Hopefully one day I get the camera skills or crew to make that happen 👍
Looks to die for, can’t wait to try it.
Looks crazy delicious.
These looks awesome
that looks soooooo awesome!
Oh my god. I needed this.
That looks delicious. I have to try it.
Just found this channel. My thoughts were more like *Hell yeah, another cooking show* cant get enough of them.

Italian here. Want to bring this glorious sandwich to the next level? Add some anchovies inside. You are going to love it, trust me. Nice video and nice content, as always.
That sounds like a great addition!
@@neilkerou2203 It really is! I always prepare it this way and it just adds the right sapidity, balancing the sweetness of both the bread and the mozzarella. You won't stop eating these.

Looks amazing, thanks. The egg "string" is news to me👍
So, would you suggest using fresh breadcrumbs if we have it?
My family loves your weekday sauce! Make it at least once a month.
Love that
Delicious looking 😋
Remember eating this at an Italian restaurant as a kid. Sadly the restaurant is closed. I always look out for it at restaurants but never see it.
Great video as always.
Just ask for it, usually it's a very simple food so restaurants tend to omit it from menus but it's so fast and easy to make that if you just ask for it they'll gonna bring it to you in few minutes
My mum cooked this for me every afternoon for an appetizer before dinner in California! So good
I'm Italian and i love this guy :)
love it
There’s an Italian restaurant near me with mozzarella in carrozza but it doesn’t look like this at all. I’m definitely going to make this version asap. Thanks for sharing!
Well, there is not an "original recipe" of it.
My mom uses normal bread instead
So I ended up making this, and it was excellent! Too bad I can't share a photo of the end result, but it was just amazing.
Wow super yum😋😋😋😋very nice👌👌👌 sir...
This will take me straight to heaven! 😱😱😱😍😍😍😍
I used to live in Italy and I can tell you I ate this every. single. day.
“Mozzarella in Carrozza” ! 😋👍
lovely way to eat cheese.
This is something my kids would love to make with me.
Love this video,Ha ha I must have some Italian blood in me as I just recently made a similar video but in England we roll the bread up with cheese and ham then coat in bread crumbs but I must try with a tomato sauce, love it:)
So labour intensive and yet so necessary to try asap.
Ooh my grandkids will love this!
chance is that if you make this your grandkids will just smell it. first bite and "bye bye kids... this is mine ! "
