I noticed this last time I watched that fluttershy he realized wouldn't change so he had to force it and Dash he didn't even try and just hypnotized her before even offering her wings back since he knew she'd never take the offer without it- I find it amazing that those two were the only ones he just gave up on
I love how discord never really lies in this episode everything did happen as he said it would just not for the reasons everypony else though. although he does act childish he's a lot smarter than he seems.
As an evil Overlord I can say with 100% certainty that Discord isn't all that evil.

This is a great premier. A great introduction to Discord. The chaos is fun. The discorded six are fun.

basically twilight uses magic to turn his friends into bronies by making them binge watch episodes of season 1
I like how Discord had to resort to directly brainwashing Fluttershy instead of tricking her.

Vegito vs Gogeta, one of the best moments in the fanfic! I felt for Vegito though when he realized he was defeated by discord, and discord was having a wonderful time. Lol
Well, here I am starting season two with you. :) I could have commented on various earlier episodes. Maybe I'll try to do that more, but often there's not much to say. I'm enjoying the reacts. Its interesting to see how various reactors react to episodes differently. Sometimes painful to hear commentary that grates against our experiences. But it is still wonderful to revisit the series through 'fresh' eyes. :)
Yay, onward to more pony. Let the joyful adventure infiltrate the soul. :)
Yeah it is nice to watch other peoples reactions to episodes, I watch many reactors :)
The face cams are only premiere's and Finales for the first 4 seasons, but starting from the Season 4 finale onward I have always done facecam for all episodes from that point, I find it to be better :D

You know, you kept talking about how evil he was, yet I think the only evil thing he did was brainwashing so many ponies into being different; so other than that, I personally find Discord's world to be absolutely beautiful and wonderful in every way. Though, according to my namesake, I might be a little biased here.

Discord was great in this episode... I hate him nowdays tho... it seems like they didn't really have anything to do with him so they just turned him into a plot making device and along with that, into a total jerk(I mean look at his episodes (expect the Fluttershy ones) he is just there so the plot won't be boring and in the matter of principles it would much more interesting if he weren't there)
I do somewhat agree with you. I agree that he has become a plot device, but I still find him enjoyable to watch no matter what. I think it comes down to what you find funny. Discord always makes me laugh, John de lancey just has a direct connection to my funny bone XD But I do see your point. I kinda feel the same way about pinkie Pie these days... I feel she interrupts conversations in episodes purely to spice things up a bit, I feel they rely on her as only a comic relief character at this point. She's more interesting in her own given episodes where she is the focus, I love those, but in episodes where she just spouts out "comedic nonsense" in the middle of a conversation are a bit jarring and unnecessary in my opinion. Again, you and others may love that about her character, but for me it's slowly over time become something of a distraction, and I find her less funny.
@@BronyBurningAxe I felt similarly about him at first but recently when I watched the matter of principles something just clicked inside of me and I... realized...(that's not exactly the word I'm looking for but whatever) how annoying he is.
And about Pinkie... I think I agree with you, in this two parter she was pretty Decent but usually in episodes where she doesn't have any bigger role she is kinda repetitive (I don't see her as a plot device tho... maybe I'm thinking about wrong episodes) but she's still my favorite(I consider changing to Starlight but not for now XD)... maybe out of nostalgia but also because I love her when the episode is focused around her

It’s in this episode where he jet drivers a plot and is a jerk. Even if he is funny and charismatic. Later on he actually has character motivations and relationships and development and can act villainous and friendly which suits his chaotic nature.
I think the elements didn't work not just because Spike isn't Raimbowdash but because the mane five are the opposite of what they should rappresent, so even if Raimbowdash was there it still wouldn't work
one of my favourite finales because 1: Discord is my favourite villain 2: the fucking A New Hope reference at the end there is the best thing ever.
and here we got one of the greatest characters in MLP... right next to Maud!
