I was expecting a move to Spain/Marbella for a while. Love to see my two favorite influencers get back together again. You two should do more together. I have always hoped to move permanently to Spain some day, I just love the people, the weather and most of all, the language.

Ik kan je aanbevelen om te kijken naar andere plekken dan Marbella (deze plek is relatief duur en het "ketser" gehalte is wel erg groot). Er is een paar zeer fraaie dorpjes in de buurt met veel meer authenticiteit, ook aan de kust. Bijvoorbeeld Estepona... Good luck met de zoektocht!
Zijn we ook geweest maar trekken ons minder, zullen ook niet midden in het centrum gaan zitten idd. Relatief duur kan ook iets positiefs zijn, hangt ervan af wat je zoekt. En thx!!
@@MerijnOfficial Ik woon al 17 jaar in Spanje en Estepona is inderdaad ver afgelegen van de leukere plaatsen langs de kust. Zelf woon ik in Alhaurín de la Torre maar dat ligt weer dichterbij Malaga. Het leven in Spanje is leuk en misschien iets minder stressvol maar bereid je voor op lange wachttijden voor alles en mensen die geen goed werk leveren etc. etc. Het is allemaal niet zo heel goed geregeld hier in Andalusië maar misschien heb je daar minder last van als je meer met buitenlanders omgaat. Zelf vind ik de mensen in het noorden iets serieuzer en alles is wat beter geregeld. Uiteraard veel succes en enjoy!

Ik denk dat alles went en dat het juist goed is om die koude en regenachtige periodes in Nederland mee te maken zodat je kan uitkijken naar een vakantie in de zon. Misschien zou een vakantiehuisje een optie zijn om een wat langere periode te blijven.
Zon is één ding maar er is ook niet zo gek veel te doen in Nederland. Ik zou persoonlijk meer voor Oostenrijk / Zwitserland gaan. In de winter skiën en in de zomer de bergen in.
Ben op heel wat plekken geweest in mijn leven en ben nooit gewend geraakt aan de zon. Dit is verder ook niet de enige reden. 2e huis in Nederland is voor ons een beter idee. Waarom steeds uitkijken naar vakantie als je dagelijks een mooi leven kunt hebben? Voor iedereen anders tho!

move as soon as you can , i live in new york but i bought a villa in spain and go there 4 months a year just for chilling . insane weather for chilling and relaxing your mind, no taxes and special night flamingo music , thats so good

In the age of remote work there are very little limiting variables to move abroad. I've lived 3 countries and counting. Do it. After the first move it actually feels no different than moving to a different apartment in a same city.

Personally I wouldn't move to Marbella, I'm sure it's a buzzing place but that's not my thing. We have visited around that area. Have a short drive up to Mijas Pueblo.
We've been there too but we found it too far away from happenings. I need a nice gym nearby at least lol. Definitely understand if you're looking for a calm place though

for me the hardest part about living abroad would be being away from the family, that's what holds me back
It’s bearable when you’re in Marbella with the sun shining 360 days a year, trust me lol
Just gotta ask yourself in the future when it’s yourself looking at younger people moving away, will you be jealous and regret it or not. It’s always hard moving, I recently moved from UK to Aus but you ultimately have to think you only get one shot and what will your future self look back on and think. It’s easy to stay close to family in the now as it’s comforting..
Life experience will always be the path to go, family can always visit and you can always visit them

Two things to be aware about if living in Marbella. The Taxes and the Crime.
You wouldn't be the first couple that organised criminals would follow on YT to map their house/apt. Scary shit has been going down for a lot of these UA-camrs moving to Marbella. So, just be aware of this.

Its a vacation spot. Will get tiring after a while. Im happy we finally dont have a scorching summer here in the Netherlands. With climate change, southern Spain will become a no go zone. Without desalination plants for sea water, water shortages will be an enormous problem, they already are. I dream of moving to Norway, still good winters and better summers every year.
Depends on where you go, lots of ppl living there too, and in summer we will can always go to The Netherlands when it gets too warm and touristy ;) Norway is beautiful, but doesn't attract me at all, each to their own! Goodluck with your dream mate

The most important thing is to have people you know already living there so they can help you hands on with understanding things like traditions, culture, and little things that make life easier. 🫡
