There's something funny about Blake actively giving himself 1 life from Kardur but forgetting about all the life he's supposed to gain from all his creatures having lifelink.
at that point he had lethal so wasn't much point in tracking that.
@@TokenWG Yeah, but there wasn't a point to track the Kardur life either.
@@bouboulroz very true, but sometimes it is just habit and then you realize there isn't a point to the rest. Not saying it was even his thought process or if he just forgot the lifelink from the whip. I'm not in his head. Just saying it didn't have an effect on the game and know I've done similar things in the past with getting lazy half way through tracking triggers when you know it doesn't matter.
@@TokenWG Which is why it's funny ? He doesn't track the dozens of life gain from lifelink, yet still track the 1 life out of habit simply because CGB pointed out the trigger when it's unnecessary.
You don't have to jump in his defense, I'm not dunking on him. I'm just pointing out something that I find vaguely amusing.
@@bouboulroz Priorities are important in all aspects of life, and Kardur is my buddy so he gets his trigger :D
Feels like Shae should have been playing the eldrazi angel meld card for a real battle of the melds.
It's what I would have done, lol. That would have shut down CGB's deck in no time flat.
I may have missed something … how did Shays commander die @ 22:15 from mightstone/weakstone when she had Daru Warchief in play? Wouldn’t her commander be a 4/6 and not die to -5/-5?

it would have been cool if Shae had run Bruna the fading light or Gisella the Brocken blade for Brisela, voice of nightmares meld for the full meld squad.
I think Ben is missing the untap of his lands with the Seedborn muse, is all permanents not just the creatures

Blake forgot about his creatures having lifelink towards the end with the whip of erebos

Ben missed a spider trigger for the Swords to Plowshares, Gamble. and the Urza's Command
Was the Swords also meant to cost 2 mana due to paladin class? I couldn’t tell how CGB paid for it though.
Playing around discard by not having any cards in hand is an next level play.

What a great episode! I have to say I was sad when I saw hellrider go into the graveyard. But then when Blake got it back it made my day. Hellrider is a pet card of mine so I was super happy to see it played. Great job Blake!
Love your show! Have you considered having a judge sit in while you play? Would help catch some of the missed triggers.

I'm pretty sure they will fix it, I'm just glad they still decided to release it and not just scrap the video completely.

At around 32 minutes cgb cats a swod to plowshares on one of shea's creatures, did he actually paid for the extra 1 to cast that for the palladin class?
He cast it with paladin class on the stake, so before it hit play.
@@atk9989 paladin class was already on the battlefield, what was on the stack was shea's commander, that's why I'm asking if he could pay 1 more for that sword to plowshares

Same reason he didn't play sensei from the top of the deck after giving artifacts -2 cost until end of the turn

its smart to play top in a lot of decks just because you don't like it doesn't mean he shouldn't play it
@@draz4lyfe326 to be fair, commander is popular because you get to see decks do different things each time you play it, and you generally expect different decks to do different things, but when every decks just does the top trick its kinda not what people are expecting to see every game.
@@atk9989 Thank you. The other three rotate different decks - some I like more than others - but there's variety. But (nothing personal CGB) when you see the same person playing UW sensei's top it gets...meh. Like you wanna see what that player can do other than the same song and dance every commander game.

what?? why no Ashaya in the Titania lands deck? it turns all your creatures into lands, it would make your commander huge! a missed opportunity for sure.
Unless you aren't aware, the melded Mishra doesn't have haste, so unless you have an haste enabler, you cannot attack with it in the second combat phase. just so people know how it works, you need haste. so this video has a game defining misplay in it, I'm sorry.
Didn't he have Hammer of Purphoros out? That gives haste to everything.

Illegal play... Mishra, lost to Phyrexia, is tapped an attacking when it comes into play but it doesn't have haste so it could not have attacked a second time the first round it came into play leaving all those soldiers, the two cards in the green players have and 3 less damage to the chick..
thats wrong, because of the "hammer of purphoros" all creatures he controls have haste
Blake had Hammer of Purphoros which gives all his creatures haste
