For folks that are considering aid climbing moonlight buttress, I highly discourage you not to. It is arguably one of the best free climbs in the United States. Every time you weight a cam (and bounce test) in soft sandstone it pods the crack out a little more. It is by no means a difficult aid climb and there is no excuse to be taking aid falls. There are many more less crowded and interesting beginner aid walls in Zion.
I applaud him for discussing the risk factors, and his fear after the fall. It was a nothing fall, but I have definitely had days where I wasn’t in the head space… well done.
This show is so badass. I get inspired by these dudes. Sucks to see all the climbing gatekeepers in the comments trying to take away from the adventure. Always remember adventure is relative, everyone was a beginner once, someone is always better than you, and the point is to enjoy the outdoors!
Grew up here, the sandstone is very brittle. Really sad to see people disrespecting a beautiful location completely needlessly. As stated below there are easier climbs you wouldn’t need to aid. Feeling like you need something to boost your feeling of being a man at the expense of this beautiful scenery is really a shame. I get going up with the intent to free climb and falling short but this is just ridiculous. Play around on hard rock and leave the sandstone for more delicate climbers. Just sad.
Will everyone chill? This is cool to see. No, I'm not climber and have only been to Zion once to run it. I enjoy that they're putting media out there like this.
Am I to understand that there isn’t one big wall climb in all of colorado that was within his skill limit and they had to climb something he had to aid? Really?
The premise of this show is great, but it's a little bit stale in terms of watching a couple of relatively affluent White Guys do Adventures. These guys are experienced outdoors people. This show would be far more interesting if you took average/novice adventure people and threw them into these experiences.
I think they are approach shoes, which is marginally better, but seriously, put on some damn climbing shoes! I like the concept of this series, but see so many things that aren’t right…..
@@AdventureOtaku They're climbing full pitches in their aid ladders. Wearing climbing shoes while doing that would be asinine. Other than a tipped our micro cam on C1 there is nothing wrong here.
Good job ripping gear on C0 and a route easily done in a day and free... nice work trust funder boulder kids. Anton is a nerd guide that thinks he’s knows everything. Moonlight best route in the world? Lol bruh
Bruh do you even know these guys? Jason is a fucking awesome human, unique combo of super humble and a tremendously enduring badass. Anyways enjoy your miserable life of being a giant ass on the internet!
@@gregmiller7484 we were talking about skiing, not climbing, specifically about how older and more experienced guides navigate avalanche problems in certain areas. Anyways, enjoy being a miserable fuck, I'm sure you're just a delight to hang out with.

8:37 Aiding on a fully tipped out cam: "Oh yeah, that's better"
Seriously lol he said "aww yeah" and I was just like "uhhh no"
Definitely a bad placement- it was really tough to see around the corner. A humbling pitch for me to say the least.

I was wondering if this program was coming back, yay!!
Thanks for being patient! We hope it was worth the wait :)

yeah the gatekeepers are really a detractor to the entire community. it's tragic how these people fester up from wherever
This is a 10 pitch climb that gets done by weekend warriors as FREE climb every weekend there's not a bunch of aid goobers clogging it up.
Didnt Alex free solo this route?
Yup
Nobody beats the living shit out of Monday like you guys! Huge props, love watching, psyched to see your long awaited return!!!
Nice solo Alex.....
Right on Mike and Jason. Glad the show is continuing, love it
LETZ GOOO little man, climb El Cap,if he hasn't already 😂!
Entire climb looks like aid climbing
Yewwww so happy these are back
Thanks for the support!

8.06 sirius situation..😳that fall would end that perfect day..you are wery lucky..👍👍💪💪
The wheels need to be balanced on their van.
Great show.
It flat out sucks that "gotta get back to work on Monday morning" is a consideration at all in this situation

When does the wife get to go adventure?
Whenever she wants!

Your tires (on the van) are out of balance. Simple fix.
This is so painful to watch. This video sets a horrible example. 😢

AID
embarrassing
Ah yes, climbing in street shoes and gloves
Not street shoes, and gloves are standard fare when aiding.

Also i literally had a convo yesterday with Jason about the things he's still learning, so you couldn't be more wrong
