These kids are the future champions of the sport they are superb. Calling their Bjj embarrassing pppffffftttt these kids will be legends of the sport.
Not disagreeing that they are top tier, but theres a very strong argument for that style being boring and yes, a bit embarrassing. The ibjjf has created this culture of butt scooters. People take pride in all sorts of things. I would rather not train than default to this style

@@panibe00 the kid ran around the margins of the ring a ton and only seemed to be willing to engage near the very edge of the mat so if he got stuck in an exchange he didnt like he could roll out of bounds. thats what i saw. perhaps that is what the other 2 guys are reffering to as well? the kid seemed less than willing to engage unless they were near the edge of the tatami. the kid moved backwards or ran in circles if he wasnt pushing the other guys forehead. thats what guys who aint trying to play do. i could be wrong but thats what i saw
Kade was trying to be smart around a clearly extremely dangerous Nicky Ryan, he was trying to find openings to pass without jumping into nicky’s legs. It was a great match from both I think it’s fair to leave it there

I think he was trying to be unconventional to create openings as Ryan's guard is too good and methodical with dealing with more regular style passing. I prefer jt torres and lucas lepri style of passing. Lots of pressure and shutting down their guard. It is just very difficult getting the control needed to start the pressure passing chains.

Alexander Bech I mean he was. Kade was getting beat on the inside position as Nicky was constantly hitting kuzushi and trying to switch from ashi garami to ashi garami. Kade literally sat there and tried to pull away every time he was in the exchange and when it was time to pass he just tried to jump around. If you think Kade was engaging you’re high.
