FNAF surprisingly has a long history of difficult challenges, so much so that there isn't a comprehensive timeline of the communities most impressive feats, so join me as we briefly look at the history of FNAF's hardest challenges.

- Different characters in FNAF 2 (Golden Freddy) actually have an AI cap! Golden Freddy's is 10, Foxy's is 17, and everyone else is 15

The fact that Foxy's AI works in frames is wild, players have discovered a trick where you set the game's FPS at like 1 or something, and Foxy never attacks
most fnaf games are probably based on frames lol
@@rub_y no it’s just foxy. And since never opening up the cams never triggers the other animatronics to move, you can set your game to 2 fps and win without doing anything.

1:02 I’m gonna point something out that I saw _TechRules_ say in his video on breaking down FNaFs mechanics: *20/19/19/20 is **_technically_** harder.* Because there’s _ALWAYS_ that 5% chance Bonnie or Chica fail their MO, and stay at your door even longer.
Yeah I actually heard about that too! But I mean it's just WAY easier to say that 4/20 is the hardest challenge from FNAF 1.
It's not technically harder, it's hypothetically harder (very hypothetically impossible) on a 1/20 chance per time bonnie and chika make it to you.

@@ILiekFishes technically is the correct word. Hypothetically means, iirc, that something is thought of/suggested, but not necessarily real/true. In terms of difficulty, 20/19/19/20 *is* harder _because_ of that 5% chance, because not only can it make them stay at your door longer, it can also throw the *ENTIRE* usage of intervals out the window.
I did 4/20 like 4 months ago, with a friend of mine we decided to play like he plays and then I play on discord.
We got on 4/20 and we both did it in like less than 10 tries, it was stressful sure but well when you don't stress, you manage your power better, we're years late and beating 4/20 now doesn't mean much anymore but it was still cool.
As far as challenges go, I did nioh and ds2 fist only + some other stuff and fnaf is hard by itself, because it requires attention and focus it's not like "ounga bounga, me hit evil person"

Beating 56/20 on PS4 was one of the most rewarding things I've done, took 2 months from starting the game to getting it finished but it's so good seeing it in my psnprofiles list!
erm its not 56/20 because secret characters dont have ai and even if they did they only give 100 points so it would be 50/20 + 6/10.....
@@rub_y Technically 56/20 would still be accurate given that the naming convention is "Animatronics Active / Set AI Level"
If those extra 6 don't have an AI level, there is nothing to set. So everything capable of being set is still at 20 and there are still 56 animatronics active.
Really just depends on how you want to interpret it
@@NamekianG when you hear "56/20" it's reasonable and very common to assume there is 56 characters and they are all on 20 ai, which is not true in ucn.
@@rub_y It's effectively true. In fnaf 2 not a single character ACTUALLY has 20 AI, it just isn't allowed within the code, yet we still call that 10/20 because as far as the player is concerned, everything is set to "20"
The 6 bonus animatronics shouldn't be an exception to that, imo
@@NamekianG as far as im concerned the name for fnaf 2's max mode is "Golden Freddy". also at least they have an ai number you can increase and decrease and have it matter somewhat, where as the secret characters are just characters (that only spawn once with the exception of bonnet!) that xor spawns, not having an ai number thing.
Not gonna lie, those times were wild watching dozens of people struggling through the hardest challenges in FNaF games, especially rather recently UCN's 50/20 mode

I once beta tested someone's fan game and the final night hasn't been beat without the use of cheats. This was back in 2019 from what I know I still hold the record of late 5am

11:00 many animatronics in UCN have same or very similar mechanic
yeah, also most of the special mechanics have pretty easy "exploits", like the vent snare(just close the vent when opening the monitor) and the plushies(cam 2 camp)

IIRC Scott had to nerf it to make it easier because of how hard it was
I would love for an in-depth series through each of these games. It would be unique and spark up more interest for said challenges
You should've included 50/20 no deathcoin in ucn deluxe or final night all challenges from fnac 3. Both of the modes were top 1s for a pretty long time (thought fn ac fell off to the bottom of the main list pretty fast lol)
I'm a bit sad we jumped from FNAF 2 to UCN I still wanted to hear about those even though they weren't harder
Freddy's 3 NAO: draw out Phantom Freddy, reset the ventilation as Freddy does the jump scare, and then flip the camera quickly every 8 seconds to stop the RNG crapshoot that is Springtrap's movement mechanic
Freddy's 4 Night 8: Use a speedrun timer as they always move IIRC; make sure to wall out Foxy but business as usual otherwise
Freddy's SL Max Mode: it's not too much RNG, just getting into the (admittedly fast) rhythm of the patterns
Pizza Sim Saturday: Business as usual, though it helps to have the quiet upgrades and less ads
so we're just gonna forget about Aggressive Nightmare mode in fnaf3, 20/20/20/20 in fnaf4 and the max mode in SL custom night?
Yes! The video is a brief history of the hardest FNaF challenges, meaning that with each mode I’ve mentioned in the video, the difficulty is also harder. NAO, Night 8, and Golden Freddy (SL) are all (while debatably) easier than Golden Freddy (FNaF 2).

I used to be super good at FNAF 2 when it came out. I was able to beat FNAF 2 consistently on Golden Freddy. However, I didn’t play for some years and now I struggle😭. I’m currently trying to get back into FNAF so I can get all the stars on all the games.
If you haven’t already I would definitely recommend DJ sterfs guide that was mentioned in this video. The right vent camp strategy makes the getting wins a lot more consistent

Idk why but I just noticed that the ai system is basically a d20 where the ai level is their ability to complete successful movement checks kinda. This coming from someone who recently began to understand and play dnd this past year.
You honestly could make a very shotty paper and cardboard fnaf with just a single d20 and some paper,pencils, and cardboard

Edit: The pacman guy (still never knew his name) had the most fascinating but frustrating mechanic in my opinion
In that list you mentioned for hard fnaf games with boss modes playtime with percy's mode should be high if not already there and am not talking about normal mode 20/20 am talking about the boss room one that one is extremely brutal with the 5 charge no checkpoint rule definitely one that requires a lot of skill and patience since sometime audio cues can be overlapped and screw ur entire run

I think it might be because there's so many animatronics oin ucn each one is easier overall than one in fnaf 2 so the fnsf 2 animatronics are more difficult by themselves because there is less of them and vice versa for ucn

how come the newer strategy still allows foxy a movement opportunity at 4am if the camera being open blocks it?
There's still room for error. Even if the camera is flipped every couple of seconds he usually gets his movement opportunity once every so often.
