Hey, 2 things 1) the vfd should have a programmable ramp start, that when you give if power it slowly increases the speed of the motor. And 2) if he has to spin that motor by hand it’s phase locking one of the phases on the motor lead isn’t connected.

Put a 2 inch wider rim and tire with the same offset and the rear tire would be more centered, look better and have better traction for that beast of an engine

Yeah, when he wobbled it and made no comment about adjustment i went 'hmmm' but having that 'new' lathe and someone who knows how to use will make all the difference.
@@Jarok3making a jack shaft or engineering an entirely new hub in 7 days wasn’t feasible. If you have input on how I could have centered the wheel with the hub I had on hand without moving the engine out of center by a ton and completely replacing the subframe Will built, I’m all ears.

I never said it was perfect, but it sure ripped and was a blast to drive while it was around 🤘🏼 luckily all was good with me and I was OK. It’s all fun and games man. I knew like everyone it wasn’t perfect, and I’m totally ok with that. But it served its purpose doing burnouts and it even was mediocre off-road. I just should’ve been more careful while driving.

Me too. I do think that Will added a different dimension to the channel. The lower end projects felt more accessible, and it has been really fun to watch his progression. His fab skills definitely leveled up right before he left the channel. All the best to everyone involved, and hopefully they end up doing some kind of channel collabs in the future!

Great job!! The late great David Saville Peck started putting the Hayabusa engines in the Lotus Caterham Super 7 cars back in the early 2000s. Fast AF!! The 0-60 was around 3 seconds (3.2)..It was known as the fastest road car available in Canada back then. I believe his son now runs his shop, Super 7 Cars Inc.

Not gonna lie, the first thing I've noticed on Ethan, besides he being extremely hardworking, it's the fact that he always carries his eye protection plugs everywhere. I got used to those small plugs too, not only at work but also when working at home. They're really cheap and easy to carry/wear
This is my first video of this channel. No idea of the history behind the dudes here but I'm amazed to find out through comments that Patrick isn't a permanent guy. He's enjoyable to watch. Very wholesome dude and extremely talented.
very inspiring ! I imagined while watching: Dividing the car back to hourse and carridge in the sense of: - back tire + engine - the hourse - want to fight the ground surface to get any amount of drag used. - front cart - want to reduce the bounce, have a smooth ride, lightly ground touch only to redirect the car. And both can have stearing :) It's like when rock crolling, you send the cart on the the track with minimum sharpness to up-down movement, but the heavy lifter or pusher wants to be a track rather than a wheel for rock climbing, it's track is based on friction rather than elevation issues.
This episode was so much more enjoyable with Patrick as a team member in the shop. Will was funny and entertaining for his first couple episodes, but his type of content is only enjoyable in limited quantities.

Rule of thumb I use: no gloves if you're taking the work to the the power, gloves ok if your taking the power to the work piece.

Ultimately, he's just not an off-road guy and Grind Hard is all about off-road builds (mostly).

Not gonna lie, the first thing I've noticed on Ethan, besides he being extremely hardworking, it's the fact that he always carries his eye protection plugs everywhere. I got used to those small plugs too, not only at work but also when working at home. They're really cheap and easy to carry/wear

I imagined while watching:
Dividing the car back to hourse and carridge in the sense of:
- back tire + engine - the hourse - want to fight the ground surface to get any amount of drag used.
- front cart - want to reduce the bounce, have a smooth ride, lightly ground touch only to redirect the car.
And both can have stearing :)
It's like when rock crolling, you send the cart on the the track with minimum sharpness to up-down movement, but
the heavy lifter or pusher wants to be a track rather than a wheel for rock climbing, it's track is based on friction rather than elevation issues.

The homie Patrick is a solid addition to the channel. You two have a natural vibe made for the camera.
It only took one video for me to be like, "Ok, Patrick should be a regular!"
This episode was so much more enjoyable with Patrick as a team member in the shop. Will was funny and entertaining for his first couple episodes, but his type of content is only enjoyable in limited quantities.
