I notice people crapping on the one dude for punching and not letting the other guy in. Well when you consider he most likely only had his fallout shelter set up for his family if he tried being nice and let others in he’d be killing both his family _AND_ those he let in because they’d all run out of food, water, meds, etc. So I say lay off the dude. He was smart.
I had to look it up to be sure but the fact the guy used a horse to ride away was actually necessary given the emp blast from the nukes going off nearby would’ve rendered them inoperable. So not so much method acting as necessity Mary.
Good thing this is a phony bologna t.v series. Cause a Real Nuclear blast if you were staring at it without eye protection that close woulda Blinded you instantly and the initial first wave woulda cooked your skin off.
This is probably the coolest nuke scene ever. That being said. It's not realistic at all. The bombs are way too small. The bombs in the scene are only 1%-10% of the yield that was dropped on Hiroshima. The bombs used today would have given an explosion about 10000 times stronger. They would have been instantly vaporized together with the entire city. They would have been inside the mushroom base and it would have been higher than the clouds. But again, cool scene anyway.
