What a sad story of a manga collection :/
Still, the things about a sane person telling you not to collect anymore, but even a more sane person would say a balance is best at everything.
If manga is deep in your heart, the smart thing is still to not give up, as it was the same not giving up on your own heart or your own happiness in face of survival. Survival is important but so is your time everyday, like you said already in the video.
For example, as an artist, I feel I face failure everyday, and many times I think maybe it would be a smarter thing to give up and learn something that earns more money in that time I use for drawing. But I know well it will not give me what I really want in the end and to me it is actually like giving myself away. When one gives oneself away, not so much good stuff is left 🙃And passion is one of the most beautiful traits in people.
I think you do it just right, trying to collect when you can the amount you feel is okay, and when can't, selling some off, keeping balance when things can be unpredictable. Liked and Subscribed! 😁

Personally great video, but that cut at the end was too abrupt 😮‍💨
Can't wait for you to collect 2000 copies of Kagurabachi to fill up the collection again

🦞I think it’s fantastic that your collection continues to rise from the ashes like a phoenix! I have had to set rules for my own collection and set a cap, I personally get as much joy from giving books I loved to other readers to enjoy, be that the library or back to the community itself. I now try to only collect books that I loved and will re-read. Collecting is a Marathon and not a sprint, you are only 29, Imagine how brilliant a collection you will have by the time you’re 50!
For me I now read more from the Library and digitally than physically, this saves me a lot of shelf space and money. I do miss those days when I would only read one series and trade wait, I would be so excited to get the trade through the post every 6 months, I would stop anything I was currently doing and read it all straight away. I want to try and get as close to that feeling again, no new books for me until I have read what I already own. Thank you for sharing your story, I found it truly fascinating 🦞
