This was amazing live opening for the Confessions Tour. She transitioned into Donna Summer “ I Feel Love” which fit so well.
Now you should definitely check the confessions tour intro, which was opened with this song and it was one of the greatest opening acts of history.

This track is a masterpiece and Madonna was very open in acknowledging that this was based on I Feel Love
It’s a grower and in relation to the album it fits amazingly well. When your burden down with life the lyrics fit perfectly for escapism. Live as the opening to the confession tour is mind blowing
This album was a return to her dance roots however her influences (and samples!) came from the 70s. The beat is reminiscent of the iconic I Feel Love by Donna Summer, which she incorporates into her live performance of this. Also to appreciate the album fully you need to purchase the CD where you can hear the transitions from one song to the next. (iTunes chops out the transitions those’ll individual tracks)
The album is called “Confessions On A Dance Floor”.
This is my top Madonna song. From the electronic arrangements to the divine lyrics and the mystic atmosphere. I feel like it's one of the many gems in her catalogue that are overlooked and misunderstood by the general public. It's wisdom and deep meaning wrapped in an electro dance beat. I love all of her Veronica Electronica tracks such as I'm Addicted, Impressive Instant, Sky Fits Heaven, Bedtime Story, Nobody Knows Me, Some Girls, Benny Bennasi Remix of Celebration etc. Pure evidence of its brilliance.

Madonna's albums are always a precursor to the real live performance. That's how she sells two albums by one actual released. That is, because she has the capacity evolve whatever she writes first.
I've known this since the mid 1990s. As has anybody who loves her arrt.
But the album was released in 2005. 😉

I can only smile because the route you’ve both taken into Madonna’s Discography has been the most bizarre and random one I’ve ever seen - not a complaint however there’s a lot you may have completely missed by doing the ‘all over the place’ songs throughout her 40 year album career.
I do however suggest you listen to the entire Confessions on a Dancefloor album - the album the way it was originally released as ONE complete piece with transitions into every song non-stop. IT’S ABSOLUTELY GLORIOUS‼️

I agree, the opening of the Confessions tour with the live performance of Future Lovers was Absolutely Amazing and still when I rewatch it, it remains amazing
I've always thought this should have been the opening track on the album, but I'm guessing the record label wanted her to start with the hits/singles, so it ended up as Track 4. But as others said, it's the opening number of the Confessions Tour, so I think she had it in mind as an "intro" all along. It's amazing live.

This album is best listened to on CD because the songs all blend together with no breaks...On Spotify I don't think it does that.

This song, live, is amazing!. This song was made for the clubs, it is inspired by "I feel love" by Donna Summer, legendary song composed by Giorgio Moroder, it's repetitive too, the reason; it's for the club.

You should really listen to I Feel Love by Donna Summer, which was the inspiration for the sound of this song. It’s the same vibe - pulsing disco beat, breathy vocals, lyrics to meditate on while you have your eyes closed on the dancefloor. You can draw a straight line from that famous disco track to Madonna’s song.
And you might not think you liked the song too much, but roll back the tape! It had you in a trance! That’s what this song does.. It might not be super dynamic, but it’s still captivating. It hypnotizes you and takes you for a ride… Just let go and enjoy 😊
maybe shorten the spoken word intro but other than that I still love this track all these years later, love the creative risks she takes which is why she was always ahead of the game. She took chances musically that others wouldn't until it proved to sell records, then they followed.

I’d personally say it’s actually a masterclass in production, not a “dance song”. Confessions is a producer’s album. Your pauses completely killed the flow. Sorry, but this was a failed reaction, guys! Not because you didn’t like it much…If it isn’t your vibe, that is totally fair. Run of the mill, derivative and repetitive. I ended up watching Donna Summers "I Feel Love" instead. But then I was never a Madonna fan anyway. I much prefer someone like Eivør, for example singing Falling Free (live in Torshavn).
