you shoot someone five times in the chest while they are laying on their right side in bed, and then somehow they then end up in a seated position at the end of the bed? how does that work?
She went out shopping and that is why she was found bound and thrown by the side of the road, her car abandoned at an apartment complex, when she had told her parents she was going over to Daniel's for paperwork, etc. It was crazy how the defense thought anyone would buy their story.
I'm sorry, but if I had been a juror in Jade's case, I'd have had a real problem convicting her of anything but manslaughter. This man was literally more than a step father to her. He was basically her full time father since she was a child. He was the person in a position of trust over the well-being of of his step daughter. What he did was sick, sick, sick! No one knows how a betrayal like that would affect them. She should have called the police absolutely. Unfortunately, she was so horrified she was probably in ahock. She made a huge mistake, but I believe she was in shock, unable to think clearly, and horrified by the thought that the man who raised her, the man she thought of as her full time dad, was secretly recording her in her most vulnerable state. It's disgusting. I mean, the guy literally invaded her home and had a camera viewing her in her shower! It's sick. I'm pretty sure he also had a camera on her bed, too, which captured her with her boyfriend, but it's been so long since I heard this story that I'm not sure. I love "48 Hours," but the content is really shortened for time, and it's usually just the bare bones and high points of the story. I remember watching a much longer video about this case a few years ago. Her biological father wasn't really present in her life, but her step father really took up the slack. Everyone adored him, including Jade. She loved him and trusted him, and that's why she was the one caring for him. He'd been getting sicker and sicker for a long time. I don't think he had any kind of home health care. And the photos he'd taken of her went back years. It's a sad case, and I wish the jury would have put themselves in her place, or thought about what they would do if someone did that to their daughter. I think she should have gotten some level of manslaughter, but I don't know if the prosecutor offered the jury anything but 1st degree.
There’s a debate that the pictures was a made-up excuse she made for killing so she would get leniency just like you would have considered doing. The cops searched the computers deleted hardware and there were no pictures.. not even deleted picture files like she claims she deleted them.. interesting debate.
Exactly. 48h did a bad job with this one.. many people in the comments saying they "don't believe her" about the pictures. When that's literally prosecution's case. Tha is what she's being accused of Acusado
The prosecutor went along with her story about the photos despite their being no evidence is because it gave her a 'motive'. It is unlikely that she would have been found guilty with out the storyline of revenge... There is likely an unknown motive for Jade but the idea that she managed to delete those photos without trace considering that technicians can retrieve deleted data from a computer seems very far-fetched. The Police computer forensic technician testified that they found one topless photo but it had no face; Jade claimed that the photo was her because she recognised a mark on the breast that she also had.

A narcissistic greedy Monster, that's who. Her gravy train died in 2008 with the stock market crash. That's why she was going after her next conquest, who was still married, but had money.
@@peppiholliday4525 Jazzy didn't do it, but Danielle had to hide the evidence. The dog would have never had the forensic evidence that she killed Ray, so Danielle had to do her in, too, and hide her body somewhere on that 100-acres of land... maybe it's on her two siblings' adjoining parcels of 100-acres each.
Yay!!! Love these marathons. I am familiar with the first case. However, this time I am watching without multitasking and that stepdaughter does not seem innocent on the stand, in my opinion.
What if, at some point, Jade used her stepdad's laptop port to charge her phone, and she accidentally allowed her phone to sync with his PC, transferring all those naked photos while it was connected? And what if her stepdad, being a Boomer who probably has limited knowledge of tech to begin with, didn't even know those pictures were on his PC??! And then maybe his PC defaults (or was set maybe?) to show random photos from the PC when it goes into sleep mode .... and it randomly brings up these synced photos that were accidentally transferred to that PC by Jade herself??!! o_0 She did say she didn't know how her stepdad got those photos and that they were her own private pictures, which she never would have shared with him. So how DID her stepdad manage to get all these naked pictures of her? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ She says she took those pictures with an old boyfriend - so it's not like her stepdad had a hidden camera setup and took them himself.
In the third story, the mailwoman is nuts. I have had horses for about 17-18 years and many of my friends have horses and we have all had injuries that could probably be mistaken as DV by someone who’s never really dealt with such large animals. Dani just wanted Ray to go away. Trauma or not, you call 911. I don’t believe her at all.
Yeah, mail lady just wanted to be part of the drama. Her definitive statements, absoluteness in spite of NOT ONE OTHER PERSON ever saying he was abusive (Dani doesn't count), means she just made something up she thought would fit. Living on a ranch, working with animals, they were renovating the house, she covered herself for sun protection, etc. I don't think she had black eyes, no one else ever saw her with black eyes.
It is the texts that get me on this. I think there is a fair amount of plausible explanation for a number of the variables in this case. But I can’t personally get around the texts.
Idk how I feel about the first case. I 100% believe her with the photos. I believe a better defense would have been her admitting to doing it and that being the reason why. The defense can prove they existed. Crime of passion. I personally would report it and have no interaction with that man again. I’d never be the same if I knew my “dad” had such things. If she took that defense, I believe her sentence would have been much less.

I could never conceive of killing anybody, But, I have a hunch that if I did , I wouldn't leave the body in my driveway with a couple of boxes over it. Within feet of my neighbors. WTF??🤔
The one thing that stuck out to me was them showing that she had prescription pain medications that she SAID she left sitting out in plain sight, on her console of the car. That he helped himself to, yet those weren't in his toxicology report. Anyone who has had prescription pain meds knows you practically sign a contract in blood that you will safekeep those meds. Leaving them in plain sight, anyone could and would steal them. Either for their own use, or to sell. You just don't leave highly monitored medications hanging out like that. Not if you ever want another prescription from ANY doctor.
Seriously, you have the adesity to blame a killing on your innocent German shepherd dog and claim your a animal person (Jazzy missing) and killing your dog. That should be a automatic jail sentence!!!! R.I.P Beautiful Jazzy💜💜💜💜
That defense attorney for Dani was indeed a cracked pot. Saying she feared he would come back to life after he was clearly dead. Come on man. Sorry but your client is a psychopath.
Her story made ZERO sense. If your stepfather was so sick you couldn’t get him in the house, YOU CALL 911. She really thought she had created such a convoluted story that she would get away with it.

She went out shopping and that is why she was found bound and thrown by the side of the road, her car abandoned at an apartment complex, when she had told her parents she was going over to Daniel's for paperwork, etc. It was crazy how the defense thought anyone would buy their story.
Danny's memory of shooting Ray was remarkable except for when she pulled the trigger. How convenient
Exactly
If she had done this in the UK, she probably would only have gotten 6-year sentence. 😮

The 2nd case made me sick, that Daniel twin ooh God he is despicable en disgusting, even physically
💯💯💯
You wonder how either of them could attract any woman.
A new episode!! Yes!! Going to watch this cause its too hot to be outside. Watching fr Texas.
Hey Texas!! Yes it's too hot, Mississippi here, have a daughter in Texas and son in Arizona. Definitely too hot in the south!! Have a great/cool weekend ❤
In the South here also, virginia. It has been quite cool for the past 2 weeks and no air conditioning just ceiling fans and open doors. Love it. Unfortunately in August of 2024 this should not be the type of weather that we would normally be having and the orange man with the presidential name before him he's so totally ignorant of climate change that I don't know what will ever convince him.
@@peppiholliday4525good job turning this political 🙄

Yep this summer has been absolutely brutal!! I’ve lived here my whole life and I could hardly stand it. I’m ready for fall 🥵
People that can’t say “I’m sorry” just prove how cowardly they are. That’s what it is: absolute cowardice.
This is the first time I've ever heard of someone throwing the dog under the bus.
I’m so excited to find an episode I haven’t seen 😮❤
Yay thank you for uploading a new clip for us for us to watch over the weekend!!!❤❤. Have a great weekend everyone stay safe!!

What kind of MONSTER blames a poor dog
The kind that ends up in prison for 60yrs. Poor doggy.
Where is the beautiful dog? I've had shepherds on and off for many many years and they are so gentle when they are raised the right way and I don't see that dog doing what she said he did
A narcissistic greedy Monster, that's who.
A psychopath
Yay!!! Love these marathons. I am familiar with the first case. However, this time I am watching without multitasking and that stepdaughter does not seem innocent on the stand, in my opinion.
She’s not innocent, but she did the world a favor imo
Its just sad hearing that Heather will never be able to watch her kids grow up.
Blaming her dog? That’s low..
She probably killed tat missing dog. Thats low!!!

And then maybe his PC defaults (or was set maybe?) to show random photos from the PC when it goes into sleep mode .... and it randomly brings up these synced photos that were accidentally transferred to that PC by Jade herself??!! o_0
She did say she didn't know how her stepdad got those photos and that they were her own private pictures, which she never would have shared with him. So how DID her stepdad manage to get all these naked pictures of her? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ She says she took those pictures with an old boyfriend - so it's not like her stepdad had a hidden camera setup and took them himself.
She must not have watched 48 Hours 😒. All she had to do was say he died on way home from rehab place and called 911 🙄🙄

These days you cant even trust the real fathers let alone a stepdad
Who trusts step dad's? 😂😂😂
Or stepdaughters apparently lol
It’s always been that way. Only then ppl didn’t mention it.
I totally agree. Those photos SHATTERED her soul. The evilness of it.
@@orlandoromero22 And he lived next door. She wasn't gonna be able to cut him out of her life. Also, his house was such a weird shape, with the offset addition to the rear. And her house next door was completely hidden by woods.
That's not a crime of passion though.

Jade never cries a single tear, that's someone who manipulates people and is used to doing it.
Over the top and very phony!
And then all of a sudden he SAed her in her statement🙄

I wouldn’t cry over a sick gross man either 😂
I could never conceive of killing anybody, But, I have a hunch that if I did , I wouldn't leave the body in my driveway with a couple of boxes over it. Within feet of my neighbors. WTF??🤔
Would you put it in a toolbox with a single padlock and deny officers a look-see?
Look how she gives the prosecutor (?) the side eye while she's pretending to cry, and then puts her face back in her hand 😂. Not a single tear

So happy my children were raised by their dad and me. No way would I let another man discipline my kids.
I think Jade is an addict too. And why not just call the police if he died> so twisted

I see a lot of suspects pretend like they are crying. But no tears, only moaning and crunchy faces, but no tears!
Many people find solutions to their problems but killers chose killing to solve the same problems.
Her story made ZERO sense. If your stepfather was so sick you couldn’t get him in the house, YOU CALL 911. She really thought she had created such a convoluted story that she would get away with it.
