    Best review I’ve seen for these tubes, I’ve been looking for a link for this model for so long and you’re the only guy I’ve seen to give one! Good stuff man!

    That's a great turn around I just placed an order and current wait is 16-20wks on the WP tubes.

    I just showed this to my wife. "See look I don't spend that much on gear and guns". Relative to this guy at least.

    Did you consider the PVS-31 as well? I’m debating between ACT in Black DTNVG-14 and DTNVG-AVS and PVS-31s. How much did you pay for these?

    Nice video. Would love to see a comparison between different wp tubes. I would also like to hear reasons why people get 15’s over these. Is it just submergibility?

    • @Daynoodles
      @Daynoodles  5 років тому +2

      I might be working on a comparison video with wp photonis tubes and as far as 15s go the are rated for 66 meters but the dtnvg is rated for 20 which is not anything that bad either. Most people would would be diving with 15s had upgraded to 31s. Most people buying 15 new are either nostalgic or Larping in my opinion.

    Cool review. Guy who asked about DTNVG in meming/MSW, gonna go with L3 GP for mine. Content wise, perhaps a tube comparison vid? Been researching on the nvg users FB group lately.

      Comparision to what Green Phosphor or photonis white phosphor?

      Maybe like any tubes? I'm not the most knowledgeable myself. I had another idea, but it slipped from me.

    Quality video. Proper videos on this unity are pretty scarce. I like how ACTinBlack has incorporated the auto off feature, but I still wish the DTNVG had the ability to run an external power source.

    • @Daynoodles
      @Daynoodles  5 років тому

      Thanks man I really appreciate it.
      As far as a remote power source it would be cool and make it even more like a pvs-31. Right now the only civilian marketed night vision that can run a non-ball detent remote power source is the new RNVG. So its not all the common. Personally its not a big deal for me because I mess around with it not helmet mounted at times anyways.

      Daynoodles I saw somewhere online where a guy was planning on or attempting to modify his unit to run a battery pack. If I find it I’ll DM you on the gram. But yeah...it’s a nonissue; it would just be nice.

      Steve Tom must’ve caught them on a bad day or something. Called Night Vision Inc., and the dude who answered sounded pissed that he had to answer the phone. Short, one lined answers. Not cool for someone looking to spend 10k on a set of nods. Of course, TNVC has never failed, they are always willing to spend time talking to people.

      michael hart Glynn is a great dude. However, he’s a no-nonsense guy. He’s straight to the point and a very, very busy individual. You may have took that as him being an asshole or in a bad mood, but I almost guarantee that wasn’t the case for Glynn. 🤘🏼

    WP does not make the image look better. It does not make it better in low light. None of that. It's only for preference and eye fatigue. Your specs and your glass are what determines the quality of your image. And to some people the green is preferable.

    • @garrettfordham4537
      @garrettfordham4537 5 років тому +5

      incorrect. It is better for color contrast which aids in differentiating between objects thus giving the user a better picture. This is why the entire military is switching to WP and JSOC has already made the switch.
