Great review. Realistic and practical as well as factual. As a older 2015 ZO6 owner the E-ray fits better for me. Having been on the list for the new ZO6 for 3 years and not willing to pay $50K over MSRP, I will opt for the E-ray. Hopefully we don't have to go through the same games as waiting for the ZO-6. General Motors and the dealers need to think of the customers first, rather than trying to rape their customers.

I haven’t decided on a Corvette yet but if I do choose one, it will be the E-Ray for sure so if fewer buyers want them, I hope to be able to find the one I want sooner rather than later. I have zero interest in having a Z06 as my daily driver, and whatever car I choose next will be my daily driver.
Performance aside, I think the Z06 will have much more collectors' value in 20 years than the eRay. That is pure and simple the greatest (and maybe last) of the Internal Combustion V8. The eRay is well, just another car with electric assist that may not be serviceable as the years pile on and parts like the battery and power converter goes out of production and out of stock.
The looks of the Stingray to this ERay are pretty close. The question also, since few owners really care about AWD and will put the Car away for winter, is $35-$40k more than a Stingray worth the slight performance and looks you get?
As a Stingray owner myself, that's exactly how I feel. I mean the 0-60 in the stingray is like 2.9 so an extra $40k for .04 secs of performance is not really worth it to me personally. I think the car is really cool though. I would still rather have the Z06 if anything.
@@u.b.469there's numbers and there's translation. 0.4 is a noticeable difference on the drag strip, not to mention it will do that way more consistently. And the awd mashes it much more usable on not so great days, with no hit to fuel. And the midrange acceleration is much better
Great review! Can auto start/stop be defeated on startup? Even though its just a button push, its annoying. As you probably know rumor is the ZR1 or whatever it will be called will be the FPC V8 with the front motor.
Do you mean memory for auto start/stop staying off? Im actually not sure, will check next time I am in one. I dont think my Z06 even has it. I think the current rumor for ZR1 is twin turbo LT6!
They came out with that platinum grey huh ✨ with the new green interior 🍀 Widest all season tires from Michellin 🤯 130 carboned out 😎 not bad Gotta get both 👹
Gotta get his Z06 upgraded if he wants a very fast car from power to cooling with a lot of other extras including tuning from LMR. They just made a 1200 hp Stage upgrade kit for the Z06, and it turns a Z06 to a supercar. It walked a Hurrican Lambo like a elderly dog with 3 legs.
If you ever want the new vettes to be truly fast...... gonna have to go full BEV. This has been proven with the plaid. Never thought id say this, but electric is king.

And the dealership has nobody certified to work on the E-Ray!! Soon as it's running it's going back to be traded in for the ZO6... Stay away from the E-Ray Folks...👍🖖
