What's also worrying me is: Bavlorna/Pavlova, Hag of the Present, (from Ewolin Forest) who took Laethil's sense of empathy, was indeed defeated by BATD. But back then, Rob quietly said with a smirk "she is dead... for now" (--> ep. 77+150). Do you think she has been brought back to life/necromanced? Or does Rob just love making us nervous? Will the Misfits cross her path while they're on business in Ewolin? And do they have a non-metagaming reason to want to defeat her for good? 😱

Hag of the present was the fishy one, she was "living in the moment" and her plan of survival was escaping with plane shift which was stopped by Bodger and (i think) nat 20 with opportunity attack. Also Rob said after this that he planed for her to came back but they killed her before she could use her spell so she is dead. And i think that is their way of escaping death, Skabatha (ugly bytch) has a doll that preserve her past self in someone Bavlorna (fishy lady that spawns mini herself) just escapes with use of her feather and plain shift Endelyn knows how she will die but if they dont meet requirements she can respawn in the future (or just dies so Baradun will end up with his BFF)

I wonder if Bodger will remember retaliate triggers as long as you take damage, from anything, not just from a weapon attack, only requirement is the source to be within 5 feet. :D
The sad part is that with his hammer he is build for range barbarian yet his class is the most melee so it can be that he will have tons of fights where he wont be 5 feet from the source of the dmg

Yes and no. Ability (Divine Intervention) says that DM chose the nature of the intervention and most wouldnt let this to be game breaking in such ways. I would give them power up during the fight if my player would use DI with such wish "
@@Just_a-guyyeah. I'd expect it to be some sort of buff that made it easier to kill her if that's what I wanted to do. I wouldnt expect the GM to just kill a boss level character.
I love how Rob does Level ups in games, i like the progression of time, and I always look for a fun way to role play how the new skills and features come about when i play in his games.
It’s neat but it feels needlessly punishing to the players with rob hinting about time passing, like the clone of yarris that takes x number of days to grow and then forcing them to spend so many days - it adds up to a lot of time passing with every level
@@Karthull creates tension and some urgency, with him describing time passing, its a reward, and not a punishment, as the level up. But is probably all accounted for by the DM. And it stops heroes from becoming superheroes in like a week of in game-time
To be fair to BaTDH when the encounter with the giants starts with them throwing boulders from a mile away after that negotiations are kind of over 15:49
I love the level up humor this party has. Great mechanics by Rob to have them take a day for each level, brings out different RP when an... "active" adventuring party is forced to stay still for a bit. 😀

Well, I don t really know any of the hag lore, but maybe it s like in Baldurs gate 3 where merely killing the hag doesn t really get rid of her.
