nat20 insight +12 is so Bob
so basically he realised EVERYTHING about himself
he knows at his core there is always murderous intent
total enlightenment, he gets a bonus level in monk
He understood who he really is...
"BATBOB!!!!!!"
Was that the first 20 Bob ever rolled?
The thing is: in 201 episodes it was the one time when he NEEDED to roll low to succeed. It supposed to be his triumph by rolling his usual nat 1... And he miserably failed by rolling nat 20. 😂
"sigh now you're just getting silly, nobody thinks of the captioner" LOL! love it Lorquin! 🤣🤣🤣
God damn it... I keep forgetting to turn them on.
where was this?
@@i_alwaysmis6070 the greenscreen of walking and talking backwards 17:15
where?
Gotta read the captions backwards.
Ahh my favourite time of the week, watching these 4 mess up the simplest of plans to a extraordinary level
They really forgot Sunlight is her weakness😂
I just like watching to see robs amazing D.M. capabilites and how he trys to steer the campaign with the precision of a naval captain
And despite what they believe, it's not entirely the fault of the dice.
Yeah, the one time we thought they D&D'd Endelyn by making a spectacular peformance for her instead of their usual murder.
Now comes to haunt them.
Rob gave them 2 weeks in a place where Endelyn is currently at by sheer coincidence, and they spent it by slapping each other.
@@JAKEAVALON-rg8xmthey actually never knew/realized that her weakness had to do with sunlight or whats the actual twist with that was/will be 🤫
“Hag of the FUTURE won’t know you’re going to kill her?” I was fully expecting them to say no
She will see the end of bodgers hammer in the future, that wont help her :D
"Wish there's more actions, more fights"
"Kill everything, all of the time"
-Greg The Cleric
It's amazing they were dealing with Endelyn on episode 100, and are dealing with her again 100 episodes later.
it like she saw it coming!
What's also worrying me is: Bavlorna/Pavlova, Hag of the Present, (from Ewolin Forest) who took Laethil's sense of empathy, was indeed defeated by BATD. But back then, Rob quietly said with a smirk "she is dead... for now" (--> ep. 77+150). Do you think she has been brought back to life/necromanced? Or does Rob just love making us nervous? Will the Misfits cross her path while they're on business in Ewolin? And do they have a non-metagaming reason to want to defeat her for good? 😱
Well, I don t really know any of the hag lore, but maybe it s like in Baldurs gate 3 where merely killing the hag doesn t really get rid of her.
@@PhilosophyOnTheNightbus There was one doll that is currently "carried" by some barbarian and this might be something that she used to preserve past moment of herself into the future :D
Edit: I was thinking about something else. Hag of the present was the fishy one, she was "living in the moment" and her plan of survival was escaping with plane shift which was stopped by Bodger and (i think) nat 20 with opportunity attack. Also Rob said after this that he planed for her to came back but they killed her before she could use her spell so she is dead. And i think that is their way of escaping death,
Skabatha (ugly bytch) has a doll that preserve her past self in someone
Bavlorna (fishy lady that spawns mini herself) just escapes with use of her feather and plain shift
Endelyn knows how she will die but if they dont meet requirements she can respawn in the future (or just dies so Baradun will end up with his BFF)
HOLY SHIT
Baradun to the viewers: "Have you been watching us for 200 episodes?"
Baradun's definitely judging us. 🙃
Bens bad math is just out of the fact that there has never been the need to deal with high numbers so far.
(Not even once, Greg)
-Lorquin
I love that a selling point for Viva+ is the lack of midrolls and end cards, but I absolutely love the humor they add 🤣
There's quite a few people who watch the skits early on Viva+ and then again a week later for the end cards and the comment section 🏆
I know right 😆
Love the reversed honeywood theme music when they do the backwards skit at 17:00 😂
Good work editors! 😍😍
I can just see it before me:
[Honeywood at night, inside a typical dwelling]
Outside the door stands a cleric, surrounded by an aura of garlicky righteousness.
- "Have you seen the light?"
No matter your answer ("Hell, no!", "Why, certainly!", "Say what?"), you disappear in a blinding flash of light.
- "Kill everything, all of the time..." mumbles the Cleric as he shuffles back into the darkness...
Man.. hats off to Lorquin for captioning their backwards talk.
Sadly it went by too quickly for me to actually read it. Pretty sure it actually says something.
Really enjoying this and not looking forward to End Game.
Lorquin always doing an amazing job!
Greenscreen Bodger spending two solid weeks to learn a reflexive action like slapping someone back after he gets hit.... and still doing it like 2 seconds slower than anyone in real life ever would is my favorite thing from the internet this month.
Close second - "goodluck" "and, Macbeth!"
Eat it theater nerds lol
This is video game so TBF it makes sense :D
Now all I can picture is B.O.B crouch walking into a wall while a gurad faces away from him.
Then Bodger walks by like "hey Bob, where you at I need you to slap me..."
*slap!
*slap!
"Ow!"
"Bob where are you I need you to slap me again"
*slap!
*slap!
"You have committed a crime against Azerim and her people..."
Bob: "I got this"
*Bob drops bucket on guard's head.
*Slap!
*Slap!
With the Twin Peaks pun there BOB sounds so maniac and traumatizing
Love the Alien cow sheep noises subtitle Lorquin. Very accurate description.
“Wow Bodjer, how did you do that? What an impresive level up.🙄”
Allan is the best with on the fly comedy!😂
FINALLY,Ben has reliable talent and Bodger is slapping people 😌
One important lesson here is that you can never ever lie to yourself.
Except for baradun, he's the king of self delusion
I wonder if Bodger will remember retaliate triggers as long as you take damage, from anything, not just from a weapon attack, only requirement is the source to be within 5 feet. :D
The sad part is that with his hammer he is build for range barbarian yet his class is the most melee so it can be that he will have tons of fights where he wont be 5 feet from the source of the dmg
Yay my favorite group of disturbing psychopaths!
Aren’t we great 😍
Can we agree Bens 1 rolls are just his dice declaring he's number 1? Showing love at inoppertune times
ajajajajaja: "Baradun -- the king of self-delusion" LMAO
16:50 🤣🤣🤣 You guys crack me up... Alan comes up with the idea at the table but Rowan gets to do the bit in green screen... 🤣🤣🤣 Poor Alan... 🥲
Poor Alan!
I fully believe Baradun is the only one who can convince himself of the untruth.
Robert is like the unofficial mascot of VLDL... we love him!
Could Alan have hypothetically said he wanted to attempt to use his wish to the gods to kill the hag Endolyn once every day through the level up?
Yes and no. Ability (Divine Intervention) says that DM chose the nature of the intervention and most wouldnt let this to be game breaking in such ways. I would give them power up during the fight if my player would use DI with such wish "
guys, bodger's level up process was the funniest thing in my week, thank you so much for this, much much appreciated X'D
Ben:"Don't tempt fate, bro"
Also Ben : " hey dice, get f*cked bro!"
Classic Baradun and the Dickheads
"We've been sitting around this inn for two weeks!"
"Yeah, and that's all we did, we didn't bother to ask about the play or anything..."
"Let's go to the theater."
"Okay, now what's our plan?"
27:46 My new favorite greenscreen. Hope the One Man Shy troupe will have enough time to leave the city, while BatD are dealing with the hag 😂
31:50 Best merch plug ever 🤣 (watch with subtitles)
I love it when people timecode their favorite parts. Then I can easily go check them out again 😜
Potential spoilers if you haven't watched.
Sometimes it feels like story progression is being pushed a little. Then sometimes there is just a full episode like this - talking, joking, and not doing much but laughing. Game time, about two weeks. What happened in that time...?
Greg apparently turned from cleric of the light into a necromancer though unexpectedly and currently not part of the story, Bodger learned to slap, Baradun proved he is delusional, and BOB hid behind some curtains. Then a few minutes of "Oh yeah, we were meant to be doing something." I like these episodes. Very funny.
"So, Guys, What was the plan again?"
- Bob: "Murder!"😏⚔
- Bodger: 🤷♂️ "Smash them with that rightfully my own Hammer."
- Baradun: 🤗 "FRIENDSHIP!" 💞
- Cleric Greg: "Homicide! . . . Kill. Them. ALL!" 😐
Bob’s only Nat 20 is the roll that he needed to fail!
Bob's dice be like. "No matter what happens, No matter what hardships we face, what obstacles are put before me, i promise i will fail you."
I like how Adam's shirt says: "Necromancy: not even once" but Greg's raising the undead in the middle of the night on a graveyard.
Omg that cutaway of them talkibg to lawrence had me dying!!! "If they changed anything i think ill have to kill everyone!" "Id probably have to cast meteor storm on the theater" hahaha and robs face was perfect!
Levelup results:
Baradun: I'm a control freak, so I'm getting more control over the effects of my wild surges.
Bob: The one thing I'm good at, sneaking, I'm now better at.
Bodger: The one thing I'm good at, bodging, I can now do it one more time per round if an enemy bodges me first.
Greg: I feel like I don't deserve to be a cleric of the light, so I'll go take my feelings out on some undead in the cemetery.
I can almost guarantee that Greg's new ability will go completely unused, just like his god favor thing
honestly i think the walking backwards thing is super funny, it might be crazy enough to work.
But for it to work you have to BE crazy like Baradun and the Dickheads
10/10 annotation for giggly Alan and trollish Rob 😂
5:39 I feel like Greg should get 10 extra HP or another DC Point because he's been Bodgers punching bag for Two Level ups now🥊
Bodger would love the 'Come and Get Me' Barbarian power from Pathfinder, especially since there Reactions are separate from Opportunity Attacks and you can have multiple Opportunity Attacks. :D
That slow zoom-in on Lawrence when the party were talking about the ending had me rolling. Also that Bodger clap was perfect to put in the preview. I can't wait for next week!
I feel attacked. So what if I've watched EVERY SINGLE episode of d&d you've done. No, but seriously, keep up the amazing work guys!
I would like to see the subtitle writer(s) play D&D with them as a guest, off-camera in subtitles.
That would be so interesting to watch 😂
I loved that your recap was mostly adam and ben haveing "private time"
This play is going to get UNBELIEVABLY cursed. Its name is going to become the Macbeth of this universe
All the "good luck!" statements had me thinking, "do they KNOW they're not supposed to say that?" And of course Ben cleared that up in the end.😂😂😅
Reliable Talent. A feature handmade for Ben and his bad rolls.
I think 50 years ago when D&D was being invented they were thinking of Ben’s bad rolls with Reliable Talent
The guards watching Greg raise and destroy the dead deserved a green screen.
In fairness to the guys for leaving the Hag alive the first time, that play was masterful and has unwound in HILARIOUS ways through the campaign that made it sooooo much better 😂😂😂
I spent 6 months binge watching episodes 1-201... Loved every second of it! Now I'm sad I've got to wait weekly.
200 episodes in and Ben's rolls still amaze me!
I rewatched whole series in last 3 month and I was sure that it was a bit exaggerated but holy S. He had terrible luck
I love watching the crew level up and get their new abilities like this.
Its cool of the guys to let Robert promo his merch too
I love the level up humor this party has. Great mechanics by Rob to have them take a day for each level, brings out different RP when an... "active" adventuring party is forced to stay still for a bit. 😀
Bodger figuring out after all this time, 5 feet is the proper distance to retaliate an old timey whack back 😂
Greg is such a good Life Cleric. He knows exactly when life shouldn't exist... which apparently is everytime.
I had to slow down 6:28 to .25 speed to see if Ben actually made contact with Rowan... nice work guys.
< and > keys move UA-cam frame by frame. It's very useful!
@@Lorqu1n Thanks!
A bunch of actors are about to get hit with a 5th level fireball
Nixie is in the Misfits campaign causing the Yunger Dryas 2.0 by burning 🔥 down 👇 swamps.
Or will go act on the ceiling with reverse gravity
At the end of each episode I roll myself an Insight and Deception check so that facts are straight in my mind: Greg is a Life Cleric, on a mission to protect living beings in Azerim, defeat the Dark Lords and keep his friends in check :)
If Cleric Greg murders all people they meet on their ways, then the other Guys don't have to fall for that sin ... 🤔🤷🏼♂️
I couldn't stop laughing during Bodgers level up.....that was amazing 😆😆🤣
5:34 / 5:46 - In this episode, Bodger learns the mystical ability to... punch back.
Goddamn, Rowan is so good at playing Bodger. Or Bodger is so good at playing Rowan.
The best part is that Bodger keeps saying _"Try_ and hit me." despite the fact there's no need to even try as you _will_ hit him, he'll just hit you back.
"Didn't see that coming, did you?"
5:48 / 6:18 / 7:32 / 8:04 / 8:20
5:59 - 6:07 / 6:29 - 6:39 - 6:44 - 6:48
Bodger going artificer.
Worried giggles 😂
😂 Necromancy happened more than once!😂🎉 Greg being angry and summoning undead just to get caught by some people and now they are hunting him.😂
Green screen: Bodger walks backwards. Speaks Russian.
I really laughed so much in this episode. Ben rolling a Nat 20 on a roll he wanted to fail was beautiful 😂
Bear dude. Yeah he can't be surprised so he can't be surprised when he goes to attack her but he's convinced himself that he's not going to attack her so my brain melted😂
When a barbarian warns a cleric to control his emotions, you pretty much know what kind of RPG this is :D
Last time I was this early to an AoA release, Greg was still an artificer XD
The Plane Theater, instead of The Globe, very clever!
The Dixhedds believe their world is a flat plane ✈ and not a circular globe or a flat plain.
Makes me wonder how many other little things like this I've missed...
"Kill everything, all of the time."
And then BATD were murderhobos.
I love how the Dice Gods (and Rob) was so on point with Baradun's character 😂😂
I am playing Sorcery! by Steve Jackson right now and I realized that the story of that game and the story of this campaign is mostly the same, and I love it ❤
Bodger leveling up retaliation is the funniest thing this table has done in a long time.
But we do, Lorquin, we think about the captions.
Endelyn is a fun one as always, hope she makes it. She's definitely one of the least harmful evil ones in the story, er, except for the whole Leathil thing, but hey, she hasn't even gone on a revenge run for her sisters as hags are known to do. :D
So the Plane Theater, just like The Globe Theater in London? I see what you're doing there Rob 😏
I love how Rob does Level ups in games, i like the progression of time, and I always look for a fun way to role play how the new skills and features come about when i play in his games.
Reliable Talent?
Ben's getting outta the dice roll dungeon with this one boys! 🗣️
Bob should be allowed to roll with advantage when attempting to fail on purpose.
the one time Ben wants a NAT 1 he rolls a NAT 20 😂😂
Bob's special time song is the worst ear worm, especially when I start humming it
To be fair to BaTDH when the encounter with the giants starts with them throwing boulders from a mile away after that negotiations are kind of over 15:49
Thank you!!
My god. BOB will be unstoppable since he can ignore all those nat 1's. FINALLY!
So sad that the endgame is barreling down towards us... i dont wanna let go... 😢
17:25 Yeah, they're right, the captioner definitely needs more appreciation for the goat subtitles everytime.
And yes, I paused and read it backwards. PS Rowan's line doesn't mean anything, but all the others do.
OMG. What a parting D move by Bob dropping the M word. Brilliant! Pure theatre spite!
Lmao I saw that “not even once” snuck in there
Yeah, good question. I seriously Doubt that even the hag of the future can predict BatD's next moves.
I literally can’t wait for my episode each week.
I've just got a few thoughts. We don't know anything about what happened after their play before. How did the troop come up with a plan to unite with Endelyn? What if they made a deal? And what if they're gonna stand against the guys in case of a fight, in order to keep what they got from the hag? What a twist it would be! Though quite sad, so I hope not.
Again, thank you, guys, for another great Thursday!🥰
Bob: When in doubt, go back to basics!
Greg should have magically read Adam's shirt.
Bodger: In his defense, he is not learning how to swing back. He's learning to hit back faster, to improve his reaction time and get more hits in. If Rob does let his reaction hit land before the hit, then he is really fast. The greenscreen should have showed him hitting them, the sec they raise their hands to strike and getting a 2nd hit in for every 1 hit they get in.
Bob spending two weeks going up to every guard he sees and doing a 'you can't see me' John Cena hand gesture.
Pausing my Disneyland trip so I can watch this.
Rob should force an encounter with the Azerim muggers and give them NPC stats and wipe their gold supply
fuck, walking backward toward Endelyn AHAHAHAHAHA I lost it on that, and the whole bit, good lord ahaha
The Plane.....i see what you did there rob ;)
Since we are getting to endgame here I just want yall to know you’re legally obligated to roll new characters immediately after completion and start the next campaign
Love them threatening to murder the entire theatre's crowd. 😂
