Roofing and stringers always confuses me. You’ve finally made a simple and easy explanation on stringers. Now I’m ready to do a few without being intimidated.
Nice build! Last couple sets of stringers I made I cut on the bandsaw. Lay out the lines on one board, screw a couple 2x12's together and have at it. They'll be the most beautiful, perfect AND consistent stringers you've ever seen! You just have to plan which side of the 2x you lay out your lines on so that the bandsaw riser post doesn't get in the way. Ideally, your stringer should sit on the bandsaw from from 8:00 to 2:00, not 10 to 4. I absolutely can't stand the circ saw/jig saw method. There's ALWAYS a frikkin nub left from the circ saw. Grrr I would think with stringers this size you could do 2 at a time.
You should always put your joost hangers in after you put your joists in. While using a block is helpful, you'll never find two joists that are the same width and there's always going to be one that sticks up above your rim. joist. But if you have a planer, then all that is irrelevant.
u forgot the 1x6 on top of hand rails makes them more ridgid and a place to set your drink if I would have made it. but to each his own., good job thow
@@DIYBuilds ooh spendy lol, i designed my deck in tinkercad as i dont like paying for software (although since its in millimeters i just did a scale of 1mm = 1in, and since it was a small deck i was able to buy premade stringers at menards, cant complain for a 400$ deck, sure you can tell it was me that did some of the cuts as non of them are straight but i prefer utility over looks anyways).
This turned out great, Brad! You made it look simple!
Thanks fish.

simple, solid and gorgeous!
Great build, you covered all aspects of the build to make it easy to follow along
The Turisas sea creature shirt is ultra rare now. Cannot find. Love the design. Band is okay.
Band was amazing live. Saw with power glove and dragonforce. Turisas stole the show.
I was waiting for this one after the door. I knew you didn't contract that deck out!
I was a little uncomfortable at the beginning, I was worried you didn’t have the safety sandals anymore, glad to see they came back!
I have learned so much from this channel!
Nice work. Cool touch with the solar post caps.
Amazing work, dude! It turned out fantastic! 😃
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Have you ever watched your videos at 0.25x speed? It’s like building while hammered. 🎉
Fantastic Deck building tutorial.
Terrific job on that deck install! 👍👍
Very, very good looking project. GREAT job! Thank you for your informative videos.
Thanks!
Dam, you are good 😊👍
Awesome video again. 👍
So sad this channel doesn't get the views it deserves.
Thanks, me too.
The best explanation of deck and stairs I have seen.. Thank you so much. One thing, don't you put the risers on the stairs first and then the treads?
Not sure but this is how I did it and they both look good this way and are very strong.
Nice build!

You should use the post anchors that lift the post slightly off the ground so it won’t wick water. Simpson makes them in the USA
The patio is sloped and dries out quickly.
please make a video for foldable or sliding wall with sound proof
Where did you find that quality wood????
Homedepot

Original design called for 2x4 on top but wife liked it this way.
You've been doing several home & property improvements recently... Makes me wonder if you're thinking about selling or have decided to stay long term.
We sold last year. This is my new place. We'll be here a long time.
Duke Nukem approves!
Hail to the king baby!
my uncle jethro used drywall screws to put his deck up and meemaw only fell thru twice, you fancy dancy "structural" fasteners aint worth usin
Lol
What CAD software do you use?
