They filmed this in KeyWest and used an I-Phone because they couldn't use the professional camera equipment. This was one of their stops on the Country Music cruise where they were one of the entertainers on the cruise.
I cried too, when I heard of Austin’s departure from Home Free. I’ve accepted it now, and am happy for him. I’m looking forward to hearing Adam Bastien in the group. I think he’ll fit right in.
Home Free is far from over as a group! 😉❤ I felt the same sadness and doubt when Chris left the group. I honestly thought it was a HUGE mistake. Haha
Although he didn't do quite as many solos, his vocals were strong. Not to mention HF was *his* dream and he's the one who kept it going through the lean years. He took care of a lot of administrative duties for the group, as well as most of the arranging of music!! It was a major loss.
But look what we got!! Chance was the greatest thing that could've happened! 👍😘 It may be a bit weird for us Home Fries at first as they transition, but I'm guessing it won't take long to start loving the new sound.

This new five have been working on a new record for release later this year.
Thanks for your reaction. I'm sad about Austin leaving too. This was so much fun! I had never heard this song before. It gives me Caribbean vibes. A very happy song & a fun video to lift the spirits. The editing reminded me of a lot of the stuff they did on phones during the pandemic.
As a barbershop singer, I have seen many quartets change members - usually for the better. For HF, recall that just 7 yrs ago that Chris Rupp (co-founder) left and was replaced by Adam Chance whose ability to sing bass enhanced the group. I'm anxiously awaiting Adam Bell-Bastien's debut with the group to see what abilities he brings.
I will miss Austin and I can understand why Austin is leaving. Austin is the best high tenor. Rob did a great job on this song and the harmonies are great. Adam's beatboxing is great and I can hear Tim's low bass and Chance I can hear him to. Take care of yourself. Samantha
So much fun. Sad to see Austin leave, but their new guy, Adam Bastien, is also very talented. If you want a preview of his work, he was part of Chris Rupp's group 7th Ave. They have a YT channel. You might start with their cover of Hallelujah. Or his duet on Chris' channel titled Drinkin' With Me. He will be in his first concert with them tomorrow night - earlier than we expected.

This is a cover of a Zach Brown Band song - they had it on their first album in 2014, but never made a video of it then. Jimmy's editing ability is top notch - he deserves many awards.
I had never heard the song before either. I think the video came out great! It was fun to watch and I think the guys may have appreciated the spontaneity of having to use an iPhone. Although I’m very sad about Austin’s departure from the group, I can’t be mad at him. Since the announcement was made, you can see the softness in his face as he’s relaxed after making the decision and having it be public knowledge. Thanks, Samantha!

This is off their new album Crazy(er) Life album. Which in a ten year anniversary album of their first album after winning the Sing Off. I hate to tell you but Austin already did his last show. Adam Bastien (Bastien) did his first show today. He is not really new to the group he has sung with them in the past. He was also in Chris Rupp's group 7th Ave. and h has a great voice. Austin will definitely be missed, at least he is still putting music out for us on his UA-cam channel. I always enjoy watching your reaction to these guys.
When they arrived at the location, they were told there were places they couldn't film. So Jimmy (their brilliant videographer) filmed it on his cell 'phone. I don't know if it's Adam's trill at the beginning or the 'day-o"s near the end that give me Calypso vibes (remember Harry Belafonte?). And who knew you could sing underwater? Austin's gone now - the new member is Adam Bastien. Although I'm sure he'll be a great addition, Austin's gonna be a tough act to follow . . .
Home Free announced Austin will be leaving and Adam Bastien Aka Bastien will be taking his place.
Bastien used to sub for one of the tenors when Home Free first started and also was a member of Chris Rupp's group 7th Ave
Bastien will be doing his first concerts with Home Free this weekend June 21 at the Country Rumble Festival in Lima,Ohio then The Grand Ol Opry
There will be 3 Adam’s in the group so they have opted to uses their last names less confusing that way
They could call themselves the Adams Family. 😅

Great reaction! This was a happy song. 🥰. If you check out some of 7th Ave Band I think you will really like Bastien. He was part of the a Capella group Chris Rupp started after he left HF.
This was filmed in Key West, Florida. They were unable to secure permits to do filming with cameras and sound equipment, so this video was all done on an Iphone, and the reason it is done in a vertical platform.
You need to get back into Home Free more often. They have so many newer songs. If you have seen and liked their Sea Shanty Medley, you will love Skull And Bones that Chance wrote for a Ubisoft game. Absolutely outstanding. I think they have either three or four versions of it. Same song. just different videos.

Austin decided to leave earlier than expected, he isdone now, andAdam Bastien is the new member. If you want to see what he sounds like, check out7th ave. Chris Rupp's old band.
