Anyone else first think 10:15 was a finger?

Holy crap _ it does look like he is slicing his finger. LOL

The ZT deep carry clip works perfectly for this knife. It really should come that way from the beginning.

I solved the length issue with a hard use lanyard made from ty-raps, funnily enough i also polished off the logo and torched the clip. The knife got ruined by an attempted sharpening from a friends buddy. so yeah that type of learned lesson.

I wish ZT and Sinkevich made a 3.5 or 3.75 inch knife between the 0450 and the 0452 with the same sort of design.

Check out the 460. Between the two, but different design. Not in production yet, but pre-order available.

+Rodrigo Teresa I think so. Just saw it on the KAI website recently. Looks pretty interesting but I don't like it's looks.

The point on the butt presses into my pinky and that , plus the finicky detent drive me nuts . The 0450 is too small and the 0452 CF pocket sword (which i also own) is too big . I wish they'd made a 3.5 inch version . If you get it right , it does flip well though .

I think they might do a bit lower hardness on this model because of the thin pointy blade. I know Chris Reeves does 55-58 Rockwell for their S35VN fixed blades to reduce chipping and snapping so it may be the case here too with a thin point like the ZT.

The answer to your question should you check.hell yes and to be honest I think you should send it back with you findings.i could hear the dejection in you voice.hope you can resolve it soon I would like to think ZT would give a fair hearing.atb paddy

I wonder if the deep carry ZT clips will completely block the lanyard hole. The clip is narrower where it attaches to the scale and the wider area is far enough above the scale that is may not interfere with the lanyard.

Why do they have a serial number? Well, perhaps it's so if there is a problem ZT can identify when it was made and investigate whether there were tooling, or other, issues? I like serial numbers on knives. Manufacturers don't have to do it. But, it speaks of integrity, when they do.

Thanks for the review. I really wish they offered an 0451…. What’s your palm width measurement if you don’t mind. Mine is 3 3/4” at its widest point.

Just bought the 0450CF. Possibly ZT missed their S35VN tempering...

Lots of knife makers put a SN on their blade. It’s how they take fakes during warranty

great review(s). hard to get over edge performance, but at least i know what i might be getting, thanks to you....i am an eagle ultralite fan in aus 8, so this is probably beyond complaint..since otherwise i like.

Good video. Like your honesty about the chosen knife steel. Keep on telling us like it is. Even if you bump into Tim Reeves at a blade show and has a few words with you...because of something you said in a review which he didn't like. One known YT reviewer from the USA said something he admitted was "inflamatory" and felt "ashamed"...don't cave. Tim should have welcomed the criticism if it was costructive and try to make the changes....while staying true to his design ideas.
ZT....great name. But really should be a name Chris Reeves knives had....as the "higher end" a product (eg pocket knives pistols....etc.) the "closer the tolerances" e.g. handguns, high-end... While ZT knives are well built I don't seem them as "zero tolerance"...ZT knives are one of my favourite...along with Benchmades....Spyderco--odd company (in my mind) because I feel in all their designs they alwasys "come close" to a great design then do one thing to "mess it up" (for me) e.g. refusing to include a sharpening choil., no sheepsfoot blades....

Why don't u sharpen it a couple more times to see if the problem goes away? The we can have a good idea of what was wrong with the steel

I really like the looks on this blade but you are not the first to point out the soft steel on this blade. I can get these for 115$ so it might still be ok to get hahah
