Great show, Lads, as always. Please could you do a challenge or even better a tutorial about fishing near reeds ,weeds, lily pads, roots, shoots, trees and all of the annoying vegetation that the fish love to hang out in x
I've still got a few of the old dark blue/purple Chianti's and even some of the older clear finished ones where you could see the wood. Used to whip from under the bristles and around the eye with .07 line to make them last a bit longer!
Any bets there’s anglers watching and saying absolutely nothing wrong with them tactics. That’s how I was taught and am not changing. Great entertainment👍
Talking about keep nets, when I was a kid my dad use to have a massive sea fishing weight wired up on the bottom of his to, in his words “keep them anchored” weighed a blood tone!
Hey guys, love the videos. I am fairly new to pole fishing and currently use pre made pole rigs, but would like to make my own. The issue i am finding is there are so many different types of float i dont know which to use for which method. Also what is 4 x 14 etc, is this the amount of shot i need to put on. I cant seem to find out any info online. Its a little frustrating, if you or any of your knowledgeable subscribers has any info on this i would be eternally grateful. Thanks.
ua-cam.com/video/W4D2kIABn3w/v-deo.html Watch that, as for ratings, have a google for 'Pole Float Conversion Chart' they'll be loads that convert it into grams if it makes more sense to you :)
water pistols 🔫 ? lol..thats a new one on me..would have loved to have seen a line of anglers doing that lol..sponsored lads or the Barnsley black would have all had a daiwa super soaker each
Video idea: Slop and pellets only rules: ANY pellets allowed except 6mm and above and you only have 45 minutes to catch and whoever catches the best weight wins a greggs sausage roll or pasty of their choice
the big pot sorts everything out I can remember being told keep putting hands full of ground bait every 20 minutes god knows how we caught more than a couple of fish
That is not vintage. I am only just beyond the Jack Hargreaves era and still use some kit that is 50 years old. I do catch fish but not as many as you two do. I fish for pleasure and have never been in a match in my life.
not really very realistic is it.........never would the poles or any other equipment used be like the equipment used in video ....great fun to watch as always but tape the puller dos=es not change anything... sit on a old box .use heavy old pole that you need support to balance..use net handle that bends ect ect
The difference in content for each video is interesting. Would love to see both of you bivvy up for a weekend and go full on carp fishing.
They dont want to loose any viewers lol, only joking
Great idea this 👍
They have to do their own rigs tho....
With these 2 on they'd empty it in the first day...
Exactly what I was thinking
Must be mental lol they’re the best at what they do but fishing big waters with low stock is completely different

These two always make me laugh and smile
Love the banter., opens your eyes to how basic fishing was compared to the modern day fishing in your pegs
They should do a 24 hour challenge on any venue they want and whoever has caught the most fish wins
Where were the bump bars and pole held between legs? 😂
Brilliant! micromesh, wavelock, octoplus Bennett’s of Sheffield days ♾ rests 👍

A lovely trip down nostalgia lane, great chums having have lovely days fishing, recalling youth and the distant past, well for Jamie any way! 😊
Brilliant. And perfect demonstration of why I’m still going wrong in some areas! 😂😂😂 Despite you lovely lot telling us each week what to do! 🤔😳😂
"They where feeding funny" LOL lmao
Any bets there’s anglers watching and saying absolutely nothing wrong with them tactics. That’s how I was taught and am not changing. Great entertainment👍
Brilliant, entertaining and just as you say "back in the day" I loved it, keep em coming 👍👍👍
That’s how I fish now… oops haha
i absolutely love watching you two. reminds me so much of me and an old friend. back in the days of canals and the by-wash. go on the tommy scruffs!
You have no idea how much i just learned from this :p :p Jamie told so many things that make sense now :p
Lol I’ve still got one of them fox toss pots in my box. Absolutely right, I tried it on my current pole and it’s still 40cm back from the pole tip 😂
Love the old school kit videos
Keep up the fantastic vids guys! Love the content, will always support the channel 🎣🎣
One of the funniest watches guys its had me in tears.
Hmmm funny bites .. BIG POT. Literally always was the answer

Big fan of these longer videos!
Thanks that takes you back in time one of the other things was your pole was a lot heavier but great fishing good banter thight lines
Talking about keep nets, when I was a kid my dad use to have a massive sea fishing weight wired up on the bottom of his to, in his words “keep them anchored” weighed a blood tone!
Anglers Paradise in Devon has the most different fish species I would think 😊😊
I still fish old school my abu garcia 506 is always in use . Along with my drennan loaded peacock waggler floats .
A handicap so Jaime isn’t allowed pellets or a curved shotting pattern and andy isn’t allowed maggots or to fish shallow.
Still got some big h and I use them for paste fishing

You should check out kings pond
It’s in Surrey
It’s got tench Roach Rudd golden Rudd carp 2ghost koi11lb
Definitely would be funny for the 2 of them become bivvy divvies with a crate of lager each for a 24 hour session
Thanks that takes you back in time one of the other things was your pole was a lot hevear
Andy looks like he using his mum's old margarine tubs for bait boxes now that's old school
Cheers guys another great video 👍
What lake are they on
brilliant video lads
Were the paste floats made by hillbilly floats look similar to what he still makes now
Like Jamie's description of his pellets ' mudgy'
Pole in-between legs in old days
Big 'H' Float by Harry Holt , proper legend
Stopped match fishing in 1994, started again in 2017 so this is an education for me
I never heard of anyone fishing wood pellets back then it was only maggots worm caster sweetcorn bread and ground bait and luncheon meat
Challenge where they both feed each others pegs in a attempt to disrupt and make it as hard as possible for the other angler
Class these two like.
Awesome guys
Outstanding !
Catching ide on floating pole up at oaks sessay
Arrr now we know why Andys so daft.... Sticking floats down your ear. MAD... LoL
water pistols 🔫 ? lol..thats a new one on me..would have loved to have seen a line of anglers doing that lol..sponsored lads or the Barnsley black would have all had a daiwa super soaker each
how about doing a challenge with sea food baits prawns mussels e.t.c
Remember the red cudmore groundbait that stunk to high heaven?
I still use toss pots!!!
Nice video guys
The Old days the nets Would take a Long time to sink

Great video,, ,nothing wrong with using ear wax .🤪👍
I came to see a top 7 In the air standing up on your foot plate🤣🤣 you guys forgot to prime all the lines soon as the whistle goes.
😂 that’s more bait than Jamie’s fed all year!
How many cad pots worth do you think that is?
Pretty sure poles weren’t chopped down that far back then
Would of taken the whole top section out of Js pole
Little bit one sided this one 😂
i fish like this now but not out of lack of knowledge more just sheer laziness XD
Love it 🎣🎣🤣🤣🤣
See someone catch carp on rag worm, and squid
Great vid lads but if this is old school shouldn't Andy have hair 😂 sorry Andy 🎣
👨🏼🦰
How about a pocket money challenge £2. so a pound of maggots and a pound of groundbait or variances like that.
Get them to arrive on a bike with one rod tied to the cross bar.
Shouldn't you both have been fishing without footplates... (always entertaining!!).
Lads 👍👍👍

If we can get hold of the gear we’ll deffo do something like that 👍🏻
Pmsl you too
