One of the best reviews I've seen. Quality of information is definitely improving more and more. Is this the same as the C855 from Australia? I'm extremely tempted to get the C855. I'm from Australia but can't find any reviews on that exact tv.
I was looking at this tv the other day but decided to order the LG 4G 77inch.

can you do a side by side comparison with your oled mate with the brightness and the blacks?
Ive sold tcl for the last 3 years, the one thing weve noticed as a company is thst we get a lot more faulty tcls bsck over the first few months than any other brand we stock, LG, sony, Samsung.
These reviews never take into account long term reliability.
Good point, people should know more what to expect on long term. Thats why rtings does a great job stressing their tv’s
It's funny the little tab on the right hand side would put me off buying this TV. It wood irritate me. So why didn't TLC think of this

I tell ya, TCL are the No 2 brand in the world for TVs especially in America they are huge.. Great spec for the money and they live up to those specs, I'm getting one they're supposed to be brilliant...

i have the same tv, i came from a LG C9 OLED and the picture quality is stunning and the blacks are almost as good as the C9's but in my opinion the sound quality doesn't match the picture quaility so i purchased a sound bar, but for £1300 it Unbelievable
I have the 55" B6 Oled {2016} and still looks stunning but I want bigger and especially for PS5 gaming. Do you think this TV is a worthy replacement?

@@masomafYeah 👍🏽 OLED is the future, yes i have considered all posibilities even with older G3 model.. but those are still double the price and G4 almost 3x the price. Oleds in 75/77 sizes are too expensive {unless you buy older models but I need the newest tech for future proofing} > need the HDR brightness with excellent contrast with good gaming performance. I need to spend it carefully and wise > need to last 8 years like my B6

@@N-e.o Ive owned leds, seen them in shops, when I walk by I can tell which tvs are oleds and which leds without watching the info tables. The oleds look more attractive. Better deep colors, better blacks giving a more 3 dimensional feeling.
And thats even out of the box settings, when going deeper into system settings like turning some settings on others off then its even better.
@@masomaf I totally agree, if my 8 year old B6 OLED had only one 2.1 HDMI input for VRR@120hz i wouldn't even looking for a new TV, the picture quality is top notch {but developed burn-in not noticeable 99,99%).. only missing the fancy stuff like vrr allm a better HDR performance and 120hz gaming. Other than that pictur quality wise and 4K@60 gaming on the B6 is absolutely perfect👌🏽. I badly want the new OLEDs but it must be 75/77"..outside my budget range range for now unfortunately. I have a feeling OLED prices go down rapidly, i bought mine B6 for 2500€ ... 55" G4 = 1000€ less today. Unfortunately 77" is too much still 😬

I currently have the LG G1 65" and was considering a step up in size to 75" but that'll put the latest oled out of my price bracket. How do you think a larger c855k would fair against my G1?

Could you also go into detail on blooming in the full review please, As im looking to buy this as my next tv I am interested in how good/bad it is. The blooming on my LG SK8500pla is terrible due to not many dimming zones. But the picture is stunning without HDR which really blows out the blooming.
Very nearly took a chance on this in 65 but in the end stuck with lg and got a 65 C3 which im delighted with. Tcl do make great TV's and im sure i would of been happy. I now enjoy my old 55 C1 in the bedroom for gaming with C3 65 for movies in the lounge😮
What’s the tv colour accuracy like for films and tv?

The 65 inch costs 1650 usd in my country, even though the previous model year was 1350.
In Germany it is more expensive then the Sony Bravia7...

think Oled is no brainer remember all LED's suffer blooming & trying to get perfect black levels will always compromise the HDR...I was looking at this but as usual Vincent Teoh's review saved me 2 grand.

Thank you so much for the review! It was me who asked to review this TV) Purchased it recently. The TV is a great value for money. Personally, don't like notifications when increase the brightness and the location of ports when it hangs on the wall. (Hello from Belarus!)
I agree with what you say about the notifications.
No. USB playback. I will stick with LG
You can play USB via your Bluray disc player. . Jeez no big deal.
Good tvs but apps are crap. I bought one. No players on them.
What do you mean by no players ? I actually prefer android os , because I can sideload apps also use VPN if you know you know 🎉
