Another great pub related post for you. This time thanks to the late Sammy (John) Sinnott, a publican from Duncormick, CO. Wexford. This was recorded back in 2006 by James Lawler and myself as part of a project called ‘Stoking the Embers’.
Love Sammy's wisdom in this short clip - “Without characters in a pub, you’ve nothing. There's not a boring as listening to two shrewd men talk...."
Now this is worth a listen - especially when he ends it with "I better be dull than bored anyway"
