@@vesgardens I got the seeds from apples an input them on a paper towel that’s wet a put it in a closed jar a wait til it sprouts. If the paper Towel dries out add drips of water.
9:15 Most Lemons, Oranges and Grapefruits are highly polyembryonic, that means 1 seed bears normally several Seedling plants. The (only in the beginning) weaker ones normally are of hybrid origin, while the one that is most vigourious normally grows true to type! Greetings from Germany!
I just put mine in for germination. First plant I’ve ever tried to.. plant? I didn’t manage to peel them, they were all slippery. 2 days and I haven’t seen any changes since, unlike yours. No rotting, nothing. I might peel them tonight, or at least try. Maybe it’s not warm enough.
Personally, I would peel them. If you have more than one, experiment with peeling a few and leaving the peel on the others. Sometimes germination can be slow. Hopefully you'll see signs within a week or so.
@@vesgardens oh no I'm sorry.. maybe you could try again! ❤️ Ty for this video, it was exciting 🤗 I just followed along with you- I'm on day 1 & hope to see some sprouts as soon as you did!
I hope your seeds grow well for you! I did do it again and they're covered so nothing will get to them. I honestly just can't remember if they were orange, lemon or lime seeds though lol
I probably let them dry overnight. Honestly, after you get the seed out of the orange you could just wipe it dry as much as possible, peel the coating off and wrap it in the paper towel. It can get a little slippery that's why I let it dry.
@@WomanofTibet there are some seeds that should be put in the fridge for cold stratification, but I rarely ever do it lol most I've tried have germinated fine without having to.
Thanks for the instructions! I love your curiosity for plants, and I'm excited to see if/how my baby oranges grow.
I hope you get some tasty oranges one day!
Wow! I really didn't think they were going to do that well. I need to go buy some oranges.
I didn't think so either. I was definitely surprised. Get the oranges. Grow some trees!
Awesome!; that’s how I got apple tree drew from a seed
Nice! How's it doing now? Any apples?

How did they do? I didn't see an update video so i am super curious :D im about to start my own orange journey :p
I believe a squirrel snapped it in half at the base and it died. I can't remember, but I don't have them anymore 🥴 Good luck with yours!

I just planted my seeds! One had the two leaves on it, I started mine 6/21.
Hope they flourish!
Update plz ?
Hey Vesma! 👋 are those valencia seeds? Its hard to find valencias. Sometimes Aldis has them in stock, but not too often.
Hey Heidi. Unfortunately, I have no idea what kind of oranges they are. They were in a fruit mix.
Thank you for that. U didnt mention at the start, how long did u let the seeds dry out in the very beginning before u wrapped them in a paper towel?

I just did the same thing! Took an hour eating the mandarins I bought and another hour peeling the coating😂
😂 wish you lots of growth!
... . where do you leave the sealed pkt. with seeds in it,,,sunshine, dark place or in fridge!?!?
@@WomanofTibet I put mine in a dark place
