Hello! Today (technically yesterday in Japan) was the singer Asami's birthday! Miyako who started the song on the piano then switched to the guitar, so in the back it was a piano track recorded by Miyako. There is a song ("Burden of Time") where she actually plays both at the same time for a bit, she is that good! And that song is from their Studio Live DVD you were mentioning. They have many beautiful songs and Asami is such a fantastic singer! 🙂 One thing i notice is every time a vocal coach/singer reviews Asami's performances they always have nothing but positive things to say about her, she is so good! Try their songs "Empty Daydream", "Epilogue", "Burden of Time" or their cover of "Eagle Fly Free", all LIVE! Thank you for a great reaction once again!
Great reaction. Please continue your Lovebites journey. Edge of the World is a fan favourite and you can probably see why. But all their songs are great.
Yes! Yes! We want more Lovebites again!🤘 Welcome back get bites from Lovebites. By the way, this day is Asami birthday ( the lead singer of Lovebites ) So I'm glad you make this great reaction on this day. Happy birthday to wolfpack queen Asami😍 If you want check out them from live studio, I'm suggested "Eagle fly free" cover of Helloween. Or they own song "Burden of time" and "Scream for me" Thank you very much to this great reaction. Stay safe and keep on lovebitten🤘
The studio is Awake Again live from Abyss there are quite a few songs from that studio live including Burden of Time, Scream for me, Shadowmaker, Their cover of Helloween's Eagle Fly Free.

Thank you for coming back to Lovebites! I love your reactions to metal bands. This is their closest approach to progressive or symphonic metal--they could easily go in that direction if they wished. At the end you heard her say "Last song" - this was the second to last song of their encore, and was followed up by "We the United", which is their anthem. The two songs go together--"Edge of the World" starts with a theme of despair and sadness for the world, and ends on a note of hope. "We the United" takes that to a triumphant climax with one of the best guitar duets ever recorded. ua-cam.com/video/8Xucyl_GbGY/v-deo.html
as usual with LOVEBITES this is almost like 4 songs in one. well you can't say you don't get your money's worth buying their catalog. remarkable songwriting by mao here. and of course lyrics by asami who i would like to wish a most excellent birthday. even though it's the 11th now in japan. and they do pipe in piano by recorded by miyako and keyboards by mao to give their music it's epic sound. and a choir part here and there. you will want too hear 'empty daydream' live in tokyo as i think it's more of what you're looking for from LOVEBITES. a piano intro with an asami vocal that gives the usual chills :ua-cam.com/video/lXh_uMM94jU/v-deo.html
Lovebites are, in my opinion, the best metal band these days. They are flawless. What I really dig about this song is how the power and emotions just grabs you and does not let go until the song is over. I cannot get enough of this band.
ARIGATO for the good good comments. LOVEBITES is the great band. ASAMI's voice is so strong with beautiful vibrato. LOVEBITES have many beautiful songs. Please react the next beautiful songs. "GLORY TO THE WORLD"(MV), "EPILOGUE"(live), "EMPTY DAYDREAM"(live), "RISING"(live)
Just found your video - and love that you did this song - it's my favorite one of theirs. I'd like to see you do something from their new release - Judgement Day especially. Thanks!
Love these ladies! I love this song for Miyako's piano and making her guitar sing with such emotion! Midori did a great job in the beginning as well. Both can shred and play with emotion but I feel Miyako is a little better with the emotion and Midori with the shredding and that is what makes them one of the best duos out there, just my opinion. Thank you for reacting to this video.
Lovebites are awesome, I have seen them perform in the UK 3 times, they are such professional musicians & really friendly nice people. Another Japanese group I would recommend is my favourite. They are a rock group called B'z, made up of a duo of Tak Matsumoto (Guitarist/producer/song composer) & Koshi Inaba (Vocalist/lyrics writer) & backed up by various support musicians. Starting in 1988, they went on to become the greatest selling group in Japanese history. Their music consists of pop, blues, ballads but overall rock. Tak & Koshi are very respected in the Japanese music industry (& outside, as they have performed/recorded with the likes of Aerosmith, Slash, Steve Vai & others) Here's one song called MOTEL (The song is from 1994 but this performance is from 2012) ua-cam.com/video/IqOSXZAZmds/v-deo.html
Oh, such a wonderful review again, and you have such a beautiful voice. Believe or not, both guitarists have about 10 year experience only. Miyako the dark haired guitarist/pianist started teaching herself with instruction books at her 18, may be 12-13 years experience by now, she started piano at her 3. Midori the ponytailed guitarist started learning guitar at a music school at her 20, so 10-11 year experience by now, she also learned piano from her 2 or 3. Have a good one.
You have a deep understanding of LOVEBITES. You said that ASAMI's pronunciation and singing ability are different, but that's exactly what I agree with you.
Iam in love from Bolivia Latinoamerica, LOVEBITES, Guitarists Miyako and Midori are both from the city of Osaka, both took piano lessons for years (Midori also learned organ), and both took up the guitar relatively late. Midori went to music school - Musicians Institute Osaka branch, where one of her instructors was the late Mikio Fujioka, lead guitarist of Babymetal's Kami Band - and Miyako is basically self-taught. Miyako made use of a well-known instructional book series, whose title literally translated into English is "Mechanical Training Phrases from Hell", working her way through the entire guitar series. There are versions of these instructional books for bass and drums too, and there's hardly a Japanese musician on those instruments who hasn't studied them.
You should also check out Lovebites 'Rising' - another great song with powerful, inspirational and uplifting lyric. Re the members' backgounds - they are all middle class, classically trained, mostly university or music school graducates and multi-instumentalists. Midori (blond guitarist) at the age of twenty gave up studing pharmacy at one of Japan's most prestigious colleges to attend a well-known known music academy to learn to play the guitar. Miyako is a university graduate. Harouna the drummer is also a qualified nutritionist/dietician and chef and clay model maker. Not sure about Miho (bass) and Asami's (vocals) educational background but I know Asami spent two years in the States for vocal and dance studies.
Everybody send this to 10 friends that you love I think more people need to hear this group get them to send it to 10 friends too ,,thank you very much
Japanese bands that I have followed seem to have excellent technicians for their live shows. The synchronisation of one or two singers, backing tracks and the balance of the instruments is amazing. Yes there is post production carried out by the same people who post produce Nightwish but compared to the disasters of some western bands when it comes to live show audio issues, the Japanese are in a class of their own.
First HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our little Napoleon stage general, Asami who at 4' 9" thunders her majestic vocals over the driving flawless musical presentations going on behind her. She is responsible for many of these positive message lyrics and always represents this band with the grace, dignity and empathy she displays on stage. While some find her an acquired taste, she is unique and helps make this band the one of a kind dynamo that these insanely talented women are. I would suggest that Rising LIVE ( ua-cam.com/video/Y_jrhzzcuRU/v-deo.html) is the perfect song that shows off her qualities and is an inspirational anthem for many who need it. Great reaction and anything this band does is flawless perfection and no genre label defines them as their talents know no limits.
