Thanks a lot for sharing your skills with us, who're trying to improve our playing. I'm 67 y.o. and you keep me motivated just as much, as when I was a kid - not the Kid.....unfortunately ✌️🎸
Thanks!! This is indescribably awesome! Kid Andersen is one of my favourite players. I was really hoping someone would upload this masterclass. Any more you have would be hugely appreciated!
I saw B.B. and T-Bone jam together down at the Saturday Blues Afternoon portion of the Monterey Jazz Festival in 1967. Kid lays it out just the way they played.
That's real koool,I lived in mont.once on a retuning visit a grounds keeper let me walk around the stage..still got goose skin Otis,Jimi,BB,T-BONE!and theres the burned spot from Jimi"s sacrifice in 67 that's holy land right there!
This Standwolf again. My experience seeing Freddie King was that he was not angry or pushing an angry note tonality. Albert King was the bluesman a bit grumpy, bless him all the more... The Ice Man, Albert Collins, was a gem, very "down to earth" and super approachable, and srv took a lesson there, or probably it was natural with him
Man, that was some really nice playing, and I liked what you had to say too, particularly about the sound being in the hands. These guys got all their different sounds basically from the same equipment. Nowadays, it seems everyone's answer is to just buy a Dumble or something, and about six dozen pedals, but you can't go wrong learning to get the sound just from your hands. I watched a few of your videos about what people play wrong, and I really liked them too, particularly the one about George Porter's bass line on Cissy Strut. I saw the Meters about 20 or 30 times back in the day, and George sort of taught my roommate to play bass, and you sure got that one right.
have watched this so many times over the years, his sound and style is so great, have always loved kids playing.
this is a very important video. thanks for uploading!
