- To make up for the fact that there weren't that many tracks of the OST for this game to upload,I decided to upload an extended version of the following tracks...
Bubsy: *has a stable franchise*
3rd Dimention: i'm about to temporarily end this bobcat's carrer.
@@ExtremeWreck there's been worse done, but yeah it could be a little better.
I've yet to play Bubsy 1 & 2 proper, but 3D was pretty solid. I'm not terribly fond of the on-foot control, but the level design is really strong. Encourages exploration while still offering a reasonable challenge, and there's no artificial padding. The latter of which is present in games like Spyro 2, Donkey Kong 64, and several other 3D platformers of its generation.
@@ultrairrelevantnobody1862 I feel like it gets a lot of unneeded hate for it's graphics, i mean this is a different planet, the woolie planet, of course it'd look different, what'd you expect?

It looks okay for the time. Its somewhat unfinished look has mostly to do with it running at the system's highest resolution as well as being made on Sony's clunky development kits before they got replaced by superior dev kits. Naughty Dog was one of the only early PS1 devs to not use these original kits; instead practically hacking into the hardware to achieve the best results.
Even then, the presentation does make up for it. For a 1996 game especially by a small and inexperienced team, the 3D animation looks way ahead of a lot of games around this time, and even some on superior hardware. In fact, I think this is the game that made it difficult for me to excuse the animation quality of games like Sonic Adventure 1. Plus, the areas where they have aged makes it look like it's paying homage to stop motion films, making it more charming than dated.
In general, now that I have played and finished the game proper, I could make a 2000+ word essay on why Bubsy 3D is actually a decent game. It's less a poorly made game that I've been tricked into thinking for so long, and more that it's a product of its time.
@@ultrairrelevantnobody1862 i'm glad someone else actually pays attention to facts and what actually goes on, instead of following the "game bad because internet say so" you go bro, stay safe.
Oh look! An arrow! Aren’t these game designers wonderful?
No there not wonderful
It does help quite a bit. These levels are very big and open. Easy to get from A to B, more of a challenge to find the rocket pieces.
As a whole though, the level design is solid.
Now what would a platform game be without PLATFORMS???
a flat environment.
Now what would a ramp game without RAMPS???
Fun fact: the image is in the intro of the game
At the part where they say:
And the Bobcat... escaped!
Woohoo! D'oh!
that part have me laughing
1:23 it sounds like jingle bell rock
That theremin was the best part :D
Oh look! A platform! What would a platform game be without those?
I think this is the song you hear when you go to hell
every song is this game is the same song omg
Not true...
Yep it s not True
But i hear the same song in the level of Clawstrophobic but the difference is in this one (Claws for alarm) The music is great in the other one (Clawstrophibic) the music is just a piece of shit
do you plan on uploading the title screen music?
I will eventually...First I need to upload more extended versions of the following tracks to dominate theses videos and make others notice them and then I will do so.
Where's the chirping sound? metallic chirps?
I couldn't find the sound effects for this game.
@@KirbyPeachfan39 the chirps are separate?
@@wingedpikpik1787 yes, and this song doesn't sound right without them in the background
