TubeZish what do you mean they have an extra carbon backbone, from the skeletal formula I didn't see anything incorrect and to my knowledge they're aliphatic baring in mind I only checked alanine.

Hey I know this comment is years old but I’m about to go into chemistry and have actual been listening to all of mordin’s classics on a loop as I enjoy them and hoping that they prove helpful somewhat in your experience was it?

The lone human amino acid with one is proline. From protein we are formed!
With two hydroxyl groups you'll find serine and threonine. For sulfur, look to cysteine or to methionine!
For bases, you have arginine, lysine, and histidine. From protein we are formed! (Now the aromatics!)
Tryptophan and tyrosine and phenylalanine! Aspartic and glutamic are both acids as we've seen.
For amides, see asparagine and also glutamine. From protein we are formed!

@@em4six348 It is “a ring.” If you interact with the data pad with Mordin’s songs in the Citadel DLC (provided you did not shoot him on Tuchanka), and you have the captions on, it will say “a ring” instead of “Arene.”

We've been covering concepts of biochemistry in my college biology class lately, and I've been restraining the urge to start singing this in class.
Studying for the MCAT, you know this is great practice for my Amino Acids!
Just FYI, alanine is supposed to have a methyl group coming off of the alpha carbon, not 2 side by side

I have a biology test tomorrow and you can't believe how much of a relief this was within all the stress.
This had an oddly euphorically hilarious vibe to it and while I was gonna hate memorizing these before at least there is a smile on my face now.
My Bio lab professor wanted to play this song, but it couldn't be heard to well so sadly she didn't play it.

@@swerrr8893 they probably left because of the terrible working conditions at bioware, driven by terrible business decisions by EA. EA has a reputation for buying recently successful studios and running them into the ground because they don't understand how that success came.
@@aarlavaan Maybe, but it seems to me that many guys left Bioware because they ran out of ideas. Let's be honest, Mass effect 3 wasn’t as cool as ME 1-2.

@@swerrr8893 I don't think they ran out of ideas. They were pushed to release too early, had stuff scrapped and had to start over because EA wasn't satisfied, EA had them add MP at the last minute because "MP was popular" and could be monetized, had a writer who wouldn't listen to anybody.
From what I understand, key employees were starting to leave around the time EA was starting to move in due to EAs reputation. Terrible working conditions and deadlines led to ME3 being low quality and rushed, and morale plummeted when management decided that having toxic "consultants" invited regularly was a good idea. These factors resulted in people who either had better prospects or didn't want to be marginalized for their race or beliefs to leave en masse resulting in Andromeda's wretched quality. By the time Anthem was on the horizon, everyone who had made Bioware great was gone

No, it would be Mathematics. That would be the guaranteed thing that we would share between us. Their science might be operating off an entirely different paradigm.

EDIT: Nvm, heard it wrong. First one is Glycine. Really sounds like Lysine to me.

The structure of Alanine is wrong. structure for Beta-Ala is shown instead, which is a non-codogenic AA. Lysine is also incorrect...
Not sure if this was mentioned but Alanine should have the amino group moved right a carbon.

@thepalgi You drew alanine incorrectly, the amine should be on the alpha carbon not beta.
Now only if he included the charges at physiological pH. The answer is all but Lysine Arginie and Histidine are positive at pH 7.4 and Glutamic Acid and Aspartic Acid are negative at pH 7.4
