I’m able to do a fill w their tips for months. I usually fill with my base coat but you can fill w the extend gel. You just need to file the sides n stuff.
Do you push the tips up the cuticle or are you laying the tips right before? I keep getting a bit of lifting towards the cuticle area :/
3 роки тому+8
Hi! It would be placed right before the cuticle. When lifting occurs, it usually means that a lot of extend gel residue cured around the base of the tip. Once the nail starts to grow, this will cause pre-mature lifting. We recommend using an old brush and alcohol to clean around the cuticle area before fully curing it.
I just received my kit and the thumb tips don't fit side wall to side wall! Other full cover tips fit my thumbs but since these are actually gel tips and not plastic do you think if I put an overlay using your Iconic gel to fill in the gaps on the thumbs would work be a good fix? I've seen some reviews on your website that mention this so I'm wondering if you've come up with a solution for those of us who have bigger nail beds?
5 років тому+10
Hi! Yes, filing down the sides a little so that the tip can fit a little flatter on the nail bed, and then adding a light overlay of Ionic Gel will help resolve this issue. We are planning on launching a bigger sized tip in the future, but we do not have any official release dates yet.
This is so dope I wish I could show my nails..I'm not gonna lie since my nails are thin and I just soaked my set off..My nails got hot but it was worth the pain lol
Hi! If it's tiny air bubbles, that's okay but we highly recommend scraping off the extend gel with the tip and starting the application process again for long lasting results 🤍
can anyone help me, i got this gel extension and i follow every step and then with in days i have 1 or 2 falling what am i doing wrong. i have a lamp that is lep and uv in one. Do i have different lamps
You should properly prep your nails. Prepping includes your cuticles! If you cure these nails too close to the cuticle or on top of those dead skin around the cuticles it will peel off! Other possible reasons: not filing enough; not filing around the edges of the nail; letting the tips cure on the skin; letting extend gel leaks cure on the skin; not properly buffing the tips. Well if even with all of these it keeps peeling of than you might wanna try using acidic primer. Keep practicing that you will succeed Xoxo
How do you make sure you get no bubbles when you are doing this on your own nails
3 роки тому+2
Hi! We recommend rolling the Extend Gel on your palm instead of shaking it. This will stop bubbles from creating. If a bubble appears when your applying the tip, we suggest scraping it off and starting all over again.💕
I’ve noticed that a lot of youtube reviewers, including professional nail techs, use only the mini lamp to cure the nails. Is the mini lamp strong enough to fully cure the gel? I saw that you recommend switching to a full size lamp for the final cure, but is that just for speed or is it because the mini lamp can’t fully cure the gel? I assumed it was only for flash curing, but I see people using it differently.
I’m sorry but this question is so stupid. The small lamp is for flexibility purposes and so you can correctly cure every corner while your finger is pressing down. The large lamp is to finish the cure of all fingers.
@@ryokot12 I'm sorry but maybe you never learned in grade school that there's no such thing as a stupid question. That's how people learn, get over yourself and have some humility and empathy instead of being rude and judgmental.
What if the nail tech applies a thick layer of the gel on the nail bed, and on the gel-x extension? My nail tech did that and I noticed my nails stung A LOT while she was curing them with the lamp.
3 роки тому+5
Hi! That is called a heat spike. If the nail technician uses a lot of extend gel or your nails are thin, you will feel heat and a stinging sensation. We recommend curing it for a little and then removing the light. Repeat this until it's fully flashed cured and cured.
They also don’t file the gel tip either. Which I find interesting because then they have another video where they did file the tips. A lot of these videos seem inconsistent.
Is there a strong enough apex to support that length?? Hard to see in the video, but it doesn't look like it 🤔
5 років тому+6
HI Sara! Yes, our nails have a strong apex and are extremely durable under high intensity pressure. Since they are formed out of gel, not plastic, when under pressure, they are more likely to bend rather than break or snap! If you are looking for a tip with a thicker apex, check out our Sculpted line of tips! Our Sculpted tips have a thicker apex and a more apparent C-Curve, which fit more comfortably on rounder nail beds. (The tips shown here are our Natural Stiletto Long)
Aprés Nail Official is there anything I can do about bending ? Anything I can do to make them stronger worth he extended gel ? When I apply them they seem to always bend after a week or two.
Hi! We don't recommend refilling gel-x because it can ruin the apex and shape of the nail. Our system is a no fill system. Just soak off and reapply each time 🤍
I didn’t expect so much of what you did was going to be done off camera!!!
Should you do a new set every time a client grows out or should you just fill with the extend gel?
new set
No reason you couldn’t do a fill. They want to make money so you buy more product. If you do not know hoe to do a fill then yes new set

You can do a fill or a new set it's entirely up to you
I love this is there a tutorial for removal ?
What about the dust on the nail tip?
Love the nails!! But I am having problems with the polish peeling off some of the nails. Why would that be happening and what could I do to fix it?
Christin Phoenix did you buff off the shine before polish ?
Dont use a buffer, use a file(180 grit is good), dust iff the dust and use dehydrator or wipe the nails off. Using a primer after also helps.

When applying these to a nail biter, what is the best way of shortening them. I will have to use the regular med round
I would love to know this to
That dust was driving me crazy lol
Is there a reason why a thin layer of extend gel was used on one hand and not the other?
I think they just didn't show putting the thin layer of extend gel on the other hand, but your supposed to put it on both hands
Bc it says to do one hand at a time at the beginning of the video
I saw that, too. I think it was just a mistake.
What bit did you use to file off the base after the nail extension is already on?
I noticed that one the second hand the thin layer of gel was not applied before putting on the extensions ?? Is that something that you could do ?
On*
Could I use this system on my practice hand?
Do most techs that do just gel x have certificates or license? Or do techs just learn and work from home?
You have to have a nail tech license or cosmetology lisence to LEGALLY do nails and make money without the feds and health department on your back
I love this nail system...I just wish they would introduce short nails to avoid filing/shaping for the Client's who don't want long nails. 🤞🤞
@@karenwalker4476 Shorter then what they offer now.
@@mygeorge1951 I know they have short length on their site, but I was referring to shorter than the coffin she was using in this video. :)
Exactly what I meant. Shorter so no filing...
Yes I agree, shorter nails,so no filing will help with time
You can always check amazon there is where I get my tips and you can fine different sizes too

I have a sculpted square set and a regular round set. I can't really tell what the difference is!! Can you tell me??
do my nails have to be cut short before applying???
Hi! We recommend cutting your nails before application but it's not required.
Do you cure the gel you apply on the fingernails before applying the nail?
Yes, 30 seconds.
Aysha Abukar yes 30 sec in led lamp
Hi Aysha! Yes, you do cure the thin layer of Extend Gel on the natural nail.
My nails keep lifting and falling 😭😭😭😭 I get so discouraged
When will the Coffin shape medium being released ?
They are available on our website now!
Thanks already bought them when they first launched & I love em
This is so dope I wish I could show my nails..I'm not gonna lie since my nails are thin and I just soaked my set off..My nails got hot but it was worth the pain lol
Could you shorten/shape the nails?
Thank you in advance!
Yes they can be shorten
What if you get 1 or 2 small air bubbles??
Did you prep your nails? Uv lamp takes a lot longer to cure.
Because this happen with all gel nails maybe last a little more but thats it this is an expensive press on gels thats it
You should properly prep your nails. Prepping includes your cuticles! If you cure these nails too close to the cuticle or on top of those dead skin around the cuticles it will peel off!

For those that have an allergy to acrylic does this contain any acrylic?
Its made out of gel. Its literally called Gel X
No.
So we have to file our own nail? Or just lightly buff them? I already have thin nails 😩
Just buff them so the shine of the natural oils on the natural nails are removed so that the gel binds well
Hi Erica! A basic gel manicure prep will do the job!
How do you make sure you get no bubbles when you are doing this on your own nails

Can you do a fill in with this set or requires a new set after 3 to 4 weeks
dafinestflower idk how true it is but some one said to put clear builder on top for a fill
Yeah you can do a fill. I usually use basecoat but you can use the extend gel
Do you have any other more up to date video ? Or the technique hasn't changed ?
Would this system be OK for bad nail biters
Is there hot spots if the gel touches skin on a nail biter
Tia 👍❌❌❌
Hi Alisa! This system can work for nail biters, but the Extend Gel should not touch their skin.
I keep getting air bubbles when I apply the tip. Why is that?
I use gelx , try adding more extend gel so it can spread like jelly and keep the same pressure until quick cured
What happens when it gets bubbles? Does it just not last as long?

Ur right fully cure the whole hand after
it’s just faster and more practical to cure them all together in a full sized lamp rather than individually with the little one.

When are u guys coming out with tapered square nail tips 😭
Our Chaun Legend Sculpted Square Extra Long tips will be coming very soon. Please stay updated on our social media platforms for any news on this 🤍
Yeah I really need the square ones
On the first hand has bubbles at the tip of a few fingers, that also means these nails won’t last for 2 weeks.
You can’t just use glue?
No, if you want that just buy full cover regular tips and use glue.
Ir you use glue the nails aren’t going to last as long.
Gel adheres better to the nail plate allowing it to last up to 3 to 4 weeks.
Why is there no sound??
So with this system it looks like you're using gel in replacement of glue.
No, the tips are gel, not plastic, so you are creating a full gel extension. They are not "glued" on but fused together. Completely different system.
LUV 4GLITTR Yes, you are right. Liquid gel base is used instead of glue.
They also don’t file the gel tip either. Which I find interesting because then they have another video where they did file the tips. A lot of these videos seem inconsistent.
So, I've just got this. Do I now have to go out and buy a a proper lamp?! None of the nails are sticking!!!
Hello 🤍A full size lamp is needed to do the final cure.
@ I am so sad about this. I saved up for the system, and now can't use it until I have big lamp, I did not know this beforehand :(
U can use yhe lamp they give yiu but itll take a while because youre doing each finger 1 at a time... but u can still do it

That's what I thought! Great thank you for replying.
what shape was this
this is kind of a bad angle for a video..
Soooo we just gonna ignore the swastica on her middle finger huh?
It's not, it's a word in cursive, I think it says love
You can't be serious?
jjjordan0216 def not a swastika. Fast frwrd to 5:52
It says Love. Good grief
Can you use alcohol or do you use acetone on these?
Alcohol will make it foggy acetone only 😘
