Most of the bases that I featured in this video were not expensive, 10-50c/ea. I have several other videos on basic moneymaking strategies which you could use to get the money to afford crafting bases, and you can always sell seeds for a few maps and use that money as well.
@@Tenkiei cool thank you for the answer and great video! Its still hard for the most players in the game to understand crafting, thats why i think the league is only hyped for 5% or so of the player base?
@@chawibulihalen No problem and don't be intimidated by the price of these bases/items the price of items will always change over time with the meta so something where the base is 2-3 ex today and sells for 4-5 ex might be 20-30c for the base in a week and sell for 1-3 ex. This league also offers excellent opportunity for basic moneymaking as maps have held their value (with many 14+ hovering around 10c) and the ability to sell seeds to get 5-20c for every map you do.
@@chawibulihalen So you can't spend 15minutes on poedb FAQ and have the same level of knowledge as the "UNREACHEABLE 5% SMARTASSES"? Wait for a "woooow now I'll touch the hole and mobs will show up I'll kill em and get the loot yeeeee soooo much fuuuun"-league then. Don't forget to spend 2 hours complainin too instead of 15min of actual learning.
I would hit frenzy on hit using alt-aug-regal or awakener's orb and then build the rest of the chest around it as (unless poedb is wrong) frenzy on hit has no tags (which is strange, I'd think it would be speed?) Alternatively you can wait for the upcoming patch where GGG is clarifying and possibly fixing tags (Bex Tweeted about this recently) and if it's classified as speed after that then reforge speed or aug speed would work.
The mods are generated based on the ilevel of the item. The seeds only need to be a high enough ilevel to be used on that item. So for an il85 chest any 75+ seed will be fine.
With the "Remove x Mod and add new x mod" does the item need to have room for the prefix or suffix before crafting? The craft itself doesn't make room in the item when it removes a mod? Lets say you want to remove phys mod and add phys mod; you have full prefixes and suffixes, the mod you're looking for is a prefix and all other possible phys mods are in the prefixes already.
This is why I am taking time to make a separate video for "remove non-X add X" because it gets into that complicated discussion. So using your example you want to remove phys, add phys. Let's pretend the item is as follows: Crusader Amulet, you have on it: Physical Damage to attacks (P) Physical Attack Damage Leeched as Life (P) Physical Attack Damage Leeched as Mana (P) Cold Resistance (S) Fire Resistance (S) Lightning Resistance (S) You want Physical Damage as Extra Lightning Damage (P) "Remove a Physical Mod" will remove 1 of the following: Physical Damage to attacks (P) Physical Attack Damage Leeched as Life (P) Physical Attack Damage Leeched as Mana (P) We'll pretend it removes the Physical Damage to attacks It can now add: Physical Damage to attacks OR Physical Damage as Extra Lightning Damage. Mod weightings will apply here. Does that help?
@@Tenkiei Yes, that explains it. I did this once and it removed a mod and rolled a higher tier of the same mod back. The wording "new mod" just implied to my sleep-addled mind that it would distinguish between the mods and the result couldn't be the same mod, it left me wondering if there was something in the amount of affixes. This makes more sense. Maybe I shouldn't try to meta-craft at 4 am... Thanks!
@@Tenkiei Oh it should be ok. I'm trying my hand at making an explody-chest, bought a base with life and the other two possible phys mods on prefixes(thorns and lightning taken as phys) now I just need to keep rerolling the remove/add phys mod craft until I hit the explosion mod.
Last I checked Augment Critical is, Reforge Critical is not (NOTE: Prices also vary based off ilevel, if it is "lucky" or if we are talking reforge critical/more critical or not).
but what do i do if i'm too poor to buy 6l shav and any good staff to improve it and then sell? i cant drop ex this league, so i cant buy gears and cant do maps above tier 14. So that i cant drop anything good, sell it and buy gears. Is that means i rip this league?
It means you need to get more creative and look for items that people aren't valuing as much. For example you could buy a cheap ring and force curse on hit onto it then sell it. Or you could put hybrid life on something with decent life/res that before just wasn't quite good enough so people sell it for 4-5c. If you are able to do T14 maps then you are able to get money you don't need exalted orb drops or expensive items if you're oversustaining your maps even selling your T14 maps will provide a steady income... and if you really feel right now you're too poor to craft I suggest selling some of your crafts (especially the ones you're not using) to other players, that will get you the first couple ex you need and you can go from there.

The main way to grow tier 2 seeds is to have 4-6 "farms" of T1 seeds that feed lifeforce into the T2s. Don't use a lot of your "reforge" (chaos orb / alch orb) crafts. That should give you enough lifeforce to grow T2s. Someday when I don't reshuffle my garden constantly I can post my layout (or maybe the point is to not use a static layout if you really want to min-max?) T2-3-4 seeds are very profitable but most of the crafts I showcase here are from T1 seeds.
This is one of the most accessible mechanics for casual players actually, because if you don't care about doing it optimally you can use crafts in a multitude of ways to improve your gear and QoL. Out of alchs? Use the garden on your maps. Can't run ele reflect? Use the garden on that map. Need some more res on gear? Augment it. One bad mod need to go? Remove it. Etc.
Man . how about making a video for people that don't spend all day playing a game like you and play this casually. Your garden is like.... also explaining all crafting in a video.... most people that need this video don't understand what you are saying here unless they google or watch other videos. Also click bait... printing is ...not what you are doing here. You make more money selling the items you buy to craft on them. Also play the game this is still a action game isn't it ?
I think you'll find a vast majority of people disagree with you both about my video and Path of Exile as a whole. At its core PoE is about learning from your mistakes, and self improvement. Thus that is what I highlight in my video, yes you might have to google more information or watch other videos but I would rather teach people how to fish, rather than simply hand them a song of the sirens.
"How to print exalted orbs" click bait title. First thing he talks about is chromatics and I stopped watching there, disliked and removed channel from recommendations.
Thanks for the video. Even in SSF where there is no printing of exalts, these methods can turn the usual SSF dumpster gear into shiny top tier bling.

Remove craft + add is amazing on clusters. So easy to get the 3 notables and sell for massive profit on large ones.
Yeah, I've found augment life/attack can also be pretty good for making 3 notable clusters.
Any recommendations for which clusters to craft?
Going to abuse this before the market sinks or they patch it! Thanks for thr great info
If anything, it will be getting easier with the next patch!
And great fix price!

So using your example you want to remove phys, add phys.

Crusader Amulet, you have on it:
Physical Damage to attacks (P)
Physical Attack Damage Leeched as Life (P)
Physical Attack Damage Leeched as Mana (P)
Cold Resistance (S)
Fire Resistance (S)
Lightning Resistance (S)
You want Physical Damage as Extra Lightning Damage (P)
"Remove a Physical Mod" will remove 1 of the following:
Physical Damage to attacks (P)
Physical Attack Damage Leeched as Life (P)
Physical Attack Damage Leeched as Mana (P)
We'll pretend it removes the Physical Damage to attacks
It can now add:
Physical Damage to attacks
OR
Physical Damage as Extra Lightning Damage.
Mod weightings will apply here.

If you have 3 suff 3 pref blocked already then it will try to replace whatever it removes.
Eg Removes a phys prefix, will add a phys prefix.
