I've grinded about 100 hours of PoE for the past week trying to get into the game and this video and literally any video I look at for the game is completely incomprehensible with tons of information and mechanics I had no idea even existed. I am loving PoE so far but I'm starting to see why people say the game can be a bit hard to get into. There's so much stuff to learn and consider it's kind of insane
Just dump your seed in Oshabi’s sacred grove. You might be nervous the first time and spawn your monster too early but keep at it. After a few tries you’ll get some confidence and start to enjoy it.
Great video, thanks! Yeah there are gonna be some crazy items crafted this season. I didn't even need to use the go-to vendor recipe for my starter wand because within the the first 5 minutes I had found the grove and crafted a rare that was waaay better. Off to a good start haha.

Okay I think the best way to go about it is to have 2-3 collectors of each color dedicated for tier 1 seeds farming which will be used to produce higher tier seeds + condensed life force. Then those tier 1 collectors will be connected via pylons to storage tanks. Then those storage tanks will pump condensed life force via pylons (again) to distributors that surrounds your dedicated tier 2 + 3 collectors so those high tier seeds can be harvested. I find that placing T2 plants around a disperser and then when they are done growing replacing the disperser with the gathering-thingie works really well for me. Though getting enough lifeforce to do a whole field of T2-plants atm is pretty slow going
Well I crafted some basic leveling gear as well, i've been using the same gear except the chest from level 40, and now I'm 89, they still carry me. Harvest is op.
Love the guide, very in-depth. I'm loving this league, it's so much fun theory-crafting setups for the garden to grow the best seeds to juice up the craft, really hope this goes to standard. I was one of the few people that actually liked synthesis, not for the crafting itself which was very broken, but the whole map building thingy was really fun and I kinda miss it.
Haven't really played yet, so right now two questions came up: 1. Can you connect a storage tank to multiple dispersers or a collector to multiple tanks? Or: Can one pylon connect to three or more devices? 2. Does a setup make sense that only harvests high(er) tier seeds, so you don't have to replant low(er) tier stuff all the time?
Important to mention is that harvesting more seeds at the same time not only makes crafting easier, it also applies a base multiplier to lifeforce gained per seed (meaning it's also more efficient if you're only harvesting a garden for the lifeforce), along with increasing the overall strength of the monsters the seeds spawn and the loot they drop!
Omg I had no idea you could access the stash from the crafting menu. I was teleporting back to the zone, then to town, back to the zone and back to the garden. It's been a nightmare!
Yea, not sure why they chose not to just put your stash in the grove and allow you to sell stuff to the chick, might have made it too easy to 'farm' hah. Hopefully soon they make the seeds autopickup and add a button to move all seeds from stash to seed storage.
DrinkOnPantsOff theres no stash in the garden so that you have to use portals on maps. Otherwise you could literally pick up every item in your map on one portal

I think better then the description in the layout on the despersers the corners in the plot would be better for higher tier seeds. The out side might give you you an extra se but the corner will increase the range of the disperser in the plot covering more with the color of the dispenser.

Just a small tip for those who don't see the circles above their plants @11:00, was driving me crazy, it happens if you've got a key-bind to pickup AND view items on the floor, mine is ALT. When I press ALT it'll show the circles above the plants. You can also now remove plants by pressing CTRL+ALT+CLICK (normally its just CTRL+CLICK) Thought it was worth mentioning because it seemed to myself I had bricked my first collector somehow.

The auto plant button seems to filter your seeds in some way. It will not plant seeds that are below a certain level(I think..) or other restrictions like that. I noticed that when I had the seeds in my inventory it would often plant them but it did not like to pull them from the seed cache. Again, I think based on the level.

Honestly, if they REALLY REALLY wanted to do some interesting item work, they could've took inspiration from Disgaea's item dungeons and did something with that. Why not build randomly-generated item dungeons for items and you can delve into these dungeons to upgrade the items? More ARPG-like and intuitive.
If you want to target rarer crafting options, like 6-link crafting, it's also often best to fill an entire collector area with specifically the seeds that give that crafting option, to allow for more rolls. If you're going to spend a lot of life force on crafting things like pylons, dispersers or additional collectors, then you may wish to use the seeds that have crafting modifiers you don't want. Farming T1 seeds is very easy, find a good map to do so in your current act, or a good map. The more linear or small they are the faster you'll be able to find the seeds and get out to do the next, if you're not yet at maps it's best to just run past enemies instead of killing them otherwise you'll overlevel. Higher level seeds have increased chance to drop the next tier, so to get more T2 seeds, progress further. Do not stockpile too many lower level seeds, as you upgrade your equipment they will exceed the level of the seeds you planted. I planted several patches of socket crafting seeds prior to realizing that, went to harvest them and couldn't use any of them on my equipment. If you find you have an abundance of lower level seeds, they're great throwaway for creating pylons and dispersers, not so much storage tanks, although a full harvest of say level 30 seeds can still give enough for 1 storage tank plus, otherwise they're also great for creating gear for second characters.
the thing is, instead of spending time in this garden i would rather go and do an entire Awakener Cycle for conqueror Orbs and other stuff, it's a faster way to make a fortune and you get to grind xp while doing so.
Harvest league is really good. I wasn't into crafting due to the feeling of loss around it. It felt like you always ended up with crafts worth a tiny fraction of what it cost you to make that particular craft. With harvest though, that feeling is completely gone. Meanwhile, the old crafting system is still appealing for those who know what piece of gear is worth enchanting. (Still not my case after 3 whole seasons over 2 years).
im a fan of complexity, WHEN it is intuitive and well designed/implemented. you literally can't learn how to play the game by just playing it. simple ingame tooltips that _should_ be able to explain to you basic mechanics either don't exist or are a joke. you need 3rd party resources, and even then the game is so unnecessarily complex that it takes ages just to get up to date on every new patch.
@@BattousaiHBr I still think game be better if characters below lvl 50 were allowed to reallocate all their passives every 24hours. this would give them a good idea on what nodes effect what abilities and such. And can learn the game much faster.

@@BattousaiHBr As a pretty much ARPG veteran and a big fan of this genre, i can say that in my opinion Path of Exile is the kind of game that has forced complexity. I mean, after playing for 20+ hours, i still have no idea what i'm doing. There are tooltips, but they're totally not enough. Game throws some random items at you, some different, unnecessary currencies that just create unnecessary chaos, inventory is always flooded as you can carry few items with you making 99% of all loot totally useless. I love games with depth, but like you said, if they're implemented properly. I feel like PoE is just a game for total nerds, that don't do much in life except eating, sleeping, school/work and playing PoE to keep up with everything and think about connecting all of the overly complicated mechanics and optimizing their characters all day. I remember reading some reviews of PoE and there was a guy that said that PoE is not a game, it's a build simulator and speedrun calculator. I can see that point. Customization options are very important, but there's a difference between enjoyable/sufficient depth and flood of overcomplicated mechanics depth. I guess a lot of people love that and they're not overwhelmed by that, quite the opposite. For me personally, Grim Dawn does it best, because it gives you a lot of options for classes, combinations of them, various playstyles with each class, itemization is good and gives a lot of room to be creative. There are many stats on the items and some items have skills on them as well, constellation mechanics that also grant skills (that can be leveled up similar to PoE gems) as well as passive bonuses, there's a whole lot to choose from. Crafting is based on blueprints, there are a lot of items to make of various rarity, some of them are really powerful and makes your build shine. It's that enjoyable depth for me - it's there, it's deep, but not overcomplicated and overwhelming. After a few hundred hours i feel like i barely scratched the surface when it comes to possibilities in that game. PoE encourages players to spend A LOT of time to keep up, that's a no-go for me. I can't force myself to keep playing it knowing that it puts pressure on me in order to enjoy it fully.
Oh god dammit I didn't realize you could plant only one seed by hand. I was trying to build all the planters adjacent to each other to grow the tier 2. Thanks Zigs
don't worry they took the colour palette just because of the isolation after this is over we'll go to our 3 shades of grey again (50 is too much), maybe some black over black themed league
You know, you do not need the collecter for the seed for it to grow, juste the dispersser for t2+, so you can put the disperser down and place the seed around it like you would a collector. Once it's done just delete the dispenser and place a collector in it's place and harvest it. One disperser for a full square.

Thanks Ziggy, I'm going to attempt your layout today, gotta say though I got into endgame yesterday, and the league mechanic felt bad.
Harvest league is really good. I wasn't into crafting due to the feeling of loss around it. It felt like you always ended up with crafts worth a tiny fraction of what it cost you to make that particular craft.
With harvest though, that feeling is completely gone. Meanwhile, the old crafting system is still appealing for those who know what piece of gear is worth enchanting. (Still not my case after 3 whole seasons over 2 years).
Already over confusing game made more complicated
im a fan of complexity, WHEN it is intuitive and well designed/implemented.
you literally can't learn how to play the game by just playing it. simple ingame tooltips that _should_ be able to explain to you basic mechanics either don't exist or are a joke. you need 3rd party resources, and even then the game is so unnecessarily complex that it takes ages just to get up to date on every new patch.
@@BattousaiHBr I still think game be better if characters below lvl 50 were allowed to reallocate all their passives every 24hours. this would give them a good idea on what nodes effect what abilities and such. And can learn the game much faster.
@@BattousaiHBr Yeah, they completely screwed up here. I have a bunch of thingy, bunch of seeds, I click auto and they're not planting.
@@burny6666 it's surely T2 seed that you need to plant manually in a kind of set up you see in this video bcs seeds T2 and T3 need few requierment to grow
the auto seed is for T1
@@BattousaiHBr As a pretty much ARPG veteran and a big fan of this genre, i can say that in my opinion Path of Exile is the kind of game that has forced complexity. I mean, after playing for 20+ hours, i still have no idea what i'm doing. There are tooltips, but they're totally not enough. Game throws some random items at you, some different, unnecessary currencies that just create unnecessary chaos, inventory is always flooded as you can carry few items with you making 99% of all loot totally useless. I love games with depth, but like you said, if they're implemented properly. I feel like PoE is just a game for total nerds, that don't do much in life except eating, sleeping, school/work and playing PoE to keep up with everything and think about connecting all of the overly complicated mechanics and optimizing their characters all day. I remember reading some reviews of PoE and there was a guy that said that PoE is not a game, it's a build simulator and speedrun calculator. I can see that point. Customization options are very important, but there's a difference between enjoyable/sufficient depth and flood of overcomplicated mechanics depth. I guess a lot of people love that and they're not overwhelmed by that, quite the opposite. For me personally, Grim Dawn does it best, because it gives you a lot of options for classes, combinations of them, various playstyles with each class, itemization is good and gives a lot of room to be creative. There are many stats on the items and some items have skills on them as well, constellation mechanics that also grant skills (that can be leveled up similar to PoE gems) as well as passive bonuses, there's a whole lot to choose from. Crafting is based on blueprints, there are a lot of items to make of various rarity, some of them are really powerful and makes your build shine. It's that enjoyable depth for me - it's there, it's deep, but not overcomplicated and overwhelming. After a few hundred hours i feel like i barely scratched the surface when it comes to possibilities in that game. PoE encourages players to spend A LOT of time to keep up, that's a no-go for me. I can't force myself to keep playing it knowing that it puts pressure on me in order to enjoy it fully.

Oh god dammit I didn't realize you could plant only one seed by hand. I was trying to build all the planters adjacent to each other to grow the tier 2.

the level is difference max is 5 for growing. So if you plant 25 seeds you need to do at least 20, etc.

Press V anywhere in the sacred grove to open your seed storage rather than running back to the box. time saver
You know, you do not need the collecter for the seed for it to grow, juste the dispersser for t2+, so you can put the disperser down and place the seed around it like you would a collector. Once it's done just delete the dispenser and place a collector in it's place and harvest it. One disperser for a full square.
