You should make a new one on mw3 including different terrain upstairs/downstars. Deadsilence, opening doors jumping in and out of water etc. You have more knowledge compared to other content creators
Thank you so much for this expiation on what the htz etc do, I use the Acris Pro + GameDAC, and have tried just playing with DAC, then Dolby Atmos and now Sonar Using the default COD Modern Warfare II settings on Sonar I was never able to pinpoint the sound correctly. Could hear it but not accurately pinpoint direction. With a baseline of these settings and playing around a little bit further I gone from being surprised all the time as I could hear people but not accurately get positioning to having much more Situational Awareness and able to pre aim based on footsteps so much more enjoyable to win more fights and not always relying on reactions to win..
Glad to see you again. Your detailed review of the Audeze Penrose X was part of my reasoning for picking them up. I look forward to trying to update some of my settings shown here. Especially since expanding my multiplayer sound stage was the major reason I looked to upgrade. Some of it seems a bit complicated though...
No idea why I missed this video, I've been subbed to you forever :( this helped me a LOT. Been subbed ot your channel since you did the amazing deep dive on the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless and the WIcked Cushions. Kudos
First off, you've earned a subscription from me. Thanks a lot for the sonar settings in steelseries. It really helped me tremendously with hearing footsteps in the game.....until season 2 came out. I was wondering if they changed something that warrants another look into the eq settings or just in game setting. I'm sure I and many others would appreciate an updated settings video. Keep up the hard work.
This setting wprks for just about every game. No joke. It is such a good audio setup. Its not just for footsteps. Its is simply great for audio clarity from weapons, footsteps, speech, clashes. I play a l9t of fantasy games. Pve story lines. Old school games. And this setting just about works in 95% of all the games I play.
I don't normally put a comment, but you've been amazing and have taught me a lot about tuning, I have the nova pros, but jezzz, I had no clue how much tuning is involved. I'm definitely going to have a play around with these to suit my ears. But thank you for making this video! Had to like & sub! 👍🏽
Awesome video, definitely got a subscriber. I've been using the Sennheiser HD 599 SE's with the Fosi Audio DAC/Amp and still have not been able to get super clear footsteps. Even watching streamers, I can hear footsteps better on their stream. Using voicemeeter potato but I was never confident enough to play with the EQ until the stats that you provided. Going to give this a shot, thank you!
Awesome video! Been loving MWII and definitely giving this a try tonight through Sonar on my Nova Pro Wireless. I was using the Headphones audio mix and had to turn the master volume down between 50 and 70 because of how loud it is. Def gonna try Home Theater, thanks for the vid and EQ tune as always!
So going to try this with my Arctis 9x when I get home... I tuned it for Modern Warfare 2019 but oh how the sound in MODERN Warfare 2 is different its really disadvantaged my game, you should defo go ahead with the headset tuning videos to help us gamers out, was gonna upgrade to the Audeze Penrose X but saw your exclusive in the Audeze MAXWELL so I'm waiting to see what you have to say about that before I buy... Keep up the great work really enjoyed what you did here...
Great video, thank you. This is just the kind of video I look for when it comes to sound in these games. I use Peace/APO and have a decent pair of Sennheiser headphones which are pretty neutral, so I'll take your EQ and then I'll have to just experiment with it over the next few days, but really appreciate the starting point, thanks!
@GadgetryTech this is a great video but after the update on MW2 they have changed some of the audio settings. You should re-do this video again to showcase the changes as this will help others.
This format is great!!! Love the all the details you go into and ultimately your settings sound great! Can you do this for more specific games? How about Valorant next!? Thanks for the good stuff I found this video and I liked and subscribed!
Thanks so much! I have so much content coming out over a small period of time I likely can't do it soon, but I'd love to visit more games down the road! I appreciate the feedback
Many thanks, Joe - I SUCK at competitve FPS and fortunately I'm on Acrtis Nova Pro (wired, obviously 😝) so this was bang on for me. My kill:death ratio is much better with this. Many thanks for all your hard work.
Really well put together video! Appreciate that you went into detail on how to tune the EQ and adjust it to once preference. Thank you very much, great video!!
Great video! I ended up sticking with the Nova Pro Wireless and the ANC bump is thankfully no issue for the ears on my big head. Lol I'm looking forward to comparing your MW2 optimized settings vs your "general" settings. Thanks!
Actually learned something finally of what the Astro EQ and the dolby settings on XBOX. Not just some users settings. Great way to explain the different parameters. The sound is much better on my ears after playing but like you said i might adjust a tad to see what works best on my setup but at least i have a good baseline.
Do you use both EQs for dolby atmos and astro command center? Or are we supposed to pick one eq out of the 2?Wonder if it messes up the tuning by having both.
This was a great video. Thanks so much for going through it with Sonar, really found using the app as a sound novice is impossible. These settings also seem to work really well in warzone as well
@@GadgetryTech This video and all of its information, plus the way you delivered the information, has earned you a subscriber. I really appreciate it! I was curious if there was any chance you’d be willing to provide your Warzone 2.0 EQ settings on the Astro Mixamp? Thanks for all you do!
Thanks for this video. I'm running a 7.1 speaker system and my avr set the crossover frequencies to 110hz (front), 120hz (side) and 150hz (rear). Now they are all at 100hz, lets see how this improves things.
Thank you for Nova Pro Wireless EQ & Dolby Atmos settings! I'm going to try these settings and also change the MW2 audio settings to Home Theater @ 96 volume. QUESTION: Could I use your Nova Pro Wireless DAC EQ settings (non-Sonar) in conjunction w/ the Dolby Atmos EQ settings? Are they meant to be used to together or are they meant to be used separately. Thanks for all your hard work, I appreciate it!
Solid info man. Something to add. If you're on PC do yourself a favor and get a standalone microphone and headphones. Sennheiser 600 or beyerdynamic dt990 are great for gaming. Lower bass levels, sens have better mid, dt 990 are a little sharp on treble but are crisp sounding. A simple way to boost footsteps in most games is to use audio software like voicemeeter and you can add compression for louder footsteps and a limiter for quieter gunshots/explosions to the digital audio cable you set the game to.
This is a long video but it's worth sticking through it! I'd rather explain the why and not just say "change this setting".
Good luck Killa! You know how to reach me lol. Enjoy
wow, a powerpoint? damn joe, respect…. videos continually impress.
Yeah lol... Wasn't sure how this video was going to go but it was the only way I could explain it well enough
Man, thank you so much! You’re the best!!
You're welcome! Hope it helps
Such a great well explained put together video. You brought clarity to this subject for me 👍
Thorough and clear. Thanks for the effort on this one!
Simple outstanding job! Your review are top first class! Bravo!
Thank you for your time sir. Great video 👍
What a find of a channel, informative and interesting video, thanks for your effort
Best video I've seen on this topic well done sir.
This is awesome. Exactly what I am looking for. I have the AD-ATH700x and looking to maximize footsteps.
Thank you this was very good and super helpful
Great video! I ended up sticking with the Nova Pro Wireless and the ANC bump is thankfully no issue for the ears on my big head. Lol I'm looking forward to comparing your MW2 optimized settings vs your "general" settings. Thanks!
Great video, thanks for explaining everything and showing your setting I have been looking for a video with information for both Astro and nova pro
Glad it was helpful!
@@FordKillinFiatandShitvydaily Also curious about this
Awesome video. Just got a nova pro wireless so appreciated seeing the setting recommendations.
Awesome! That's a hell of a setup!
For all the work that you did I hit the like button I appreciate it. The time you took out of your busy life to make the video
Thank you!
From someone with Tinnitus thank you for showing this setting.
This is GOLD ❤
This was a great video. Thanks so much for going through it with Sonar, really found using the app as a sound novice is impossible. These settings also seem to work really well in warzone as well
Thanks!
Insane level of quality - keep going brother
Thank you Simon!
You are the GOAT!!!!! Hugeeee difference! Thks
Amazing video you can truly see the effort you’re putting into this…subbed!!
Thanks so much Jayden! I appreciate the kind words
Thank you for doing this as the sounds is the only thing that is keeping me from enjoying MW2
you saved my ears
thank you for the settings !!
My man your the first I ever heard say something about this..
Nice, gonna try these EQ settings out on SteelSeries Sonar/Nova Pro 👀
