Making the Zweilous raids 4 star was really silly, you can still send and receive invites but can't join due to the nature of the event, and because it's not exactly something that people can solo it screws over anyone who wants to continue the Community Day going that don't have people with them to raid, I like the idea but they gotta make some changes to get it to work, I'm still sitting on my stack of premium raid passes so they better figure something out
I am in an area where the raids are always full. Within 10 seconds 20 ppl. I did end up catching a ton of zweilos but my shiny luck was insane when I was catching Dino.
My problem is not having any Zweilous raids around my area to do. 😅 I have four gyms in my area and only one Zweilous raid appeared in the 5 hours following Community Day. The rest were all Mewtwo, Dragonite and other random mons I did not need. 😒 They should have made the raids everywhere like Raid Days if they were to offer something like this.
Again, players in rural areas and small towns were disadvantaged by the 4-star Zweilous raids. Why not make Zweilous a 3-star raid in rural & small town settings? Pokémon Go is so stacked against such players. It’s time Niantic attempt to level the playing field!
I intentionally went to an area where I knew no one would be putting down lures and had a great three hours. All considered I thought it was hilarious that Niantic is continually trying to push the community aspect and yet they set up today - the most waited for comm day of the year - so that avoiding other players was the best way to play.
Smart! I on the other hand went to the most lured part of town. Barely managed to get 2 shinnies at the end of the three hours (managed to score 3 more at the end of the REAL CD after that).
My problem wasn't the number of Zweilous as much as the fact that a single Zweilous is so huge on the map that it blocks out or covers 2-4 Deino sometimes.
My favorite Pokémon is Hydreigon. I have waited for years to get this. That said I am not thrilled with the execution of the compromise for the back end. Yes the six hours of crap Pokemon like Sandshrew or Geodude were obnoxious but Deino, Gible, Rhyhorn on the other hand could be 24 hours and I’d still not have enough XL candy. Maybe all of the candy the newer players acquired today was more than enough but Niantic seems to forget about the seasoned veterans who are still here from Day 1.
I personally thought Zwelious spawns were a super cool change. The mix up was quite appreciated, plus as someone who doesn't really like having 80 of the same shiny, I prefer the free paychecks of Deino candy over another Deino

Same as most other comments - zero wild Zwei for me as I'm rural, even when I placed the odd lure and saw 3 players at separate places it wasn't enough to trigger the Zweis, but would be nice for them to do this again to help player meetups like your video, except with mid evolution shiny turned on.

In a city where there are plenty of pokestops lured up, you encounter a lot of Zwelious. Deino does spawn more than zwelious. One can optimize by moving to a different cluster spawn and then coming back after half an hr or so. This way one can either encounter a lot of deino for more shiny or catch zweilous for more candy/stardust. For those that like to stop at a cluster spawn for some time before they start moving again , they will have sub optimal experience. But you can always keep walking since the community day have been reduced to half the typical duration. It was the community day that was the most flexible. Personally I enjoyed this community day a lot. I don't care much about shiny and was targeting zwelious. Most of the deino that I caught were a result of fat finger error while trying to catch zwelious. Playing for slghtly less than 2hrs, I was still able to get 7 shiny , over 5000 candy and 500 XL candy. Giving the player the ability to choose accordingly, made it the best community day in my opinion.
I was at a park with what seemed like only two other players playing and we each put up a lure. Unfortunately Zweilous was everywhere and there were no gyms. RIP.
Rural player here: did not know about the raid thing, so after 2PM, I left what small area I had. Then I heard about the raid stuff, but by that point, I was already home trying to relax. Even then, there's next to no one here, and a church not far away got to taunt me with the Zweilous being there, but can't remote in. To make matters worse, the stop is on a highway, and the parking lot is up the hill. There is no way to do it safely without cheating or risking safety. Just more middle fingers for rural players...
At least you guys were lucky we did raids and other activities and not one Zweilous popped up , the wild spawns have been turn of on the island of Roatan for nearly 3 years now ..
I'm so mad I missed this community day. I just didn't get the notification and only did my dailies after it had already ended. I missed stufful too, hopefully I can grab some shines of each in their reruns
I liked the Zweilous spawns, set up the Gotcha and got a guaranteed 10 candy per catch, coupled with my tap encounters and pinap berrying, I ended up with 2700 candy and 210 XL candy
I actually didn't mind the Zweilous spawns. The intended purpose for the Zweilous spawns was for collecting guaranteed XL candy for those who were interested. This feature doesn't fit very well in areas that have high Pokestop or Lure density. It actually felt like the Zweilous were co-spawning with the Deino and were not tied to Pokestop activation. I expected the 4 star Zweilous raids to come sooner after the initial Community Day hours. I still like these new features that were added. I think that players should just adjust and take advantage of the bonuses and features to fit their own play style.
I was only able to play for like half an hour during community day because of work, but I still managed to grab three shinies. All I could ask for really, I’m glad to have each evolution shiny.
I totally missed Comm Day because I was busy with family and I really didn't feel upset that I missed it, but I did hatch a bunch of Eggs with the bonus :P
I played the whole time when I worked and only got 2 shinys. I feel like once they changed the time for community day it got harder to catch shinys, I was so excited about last months and got zero shinys. I’m honestly so disappointed in the game. Probably more than ever
Idk man I think you just got unlucky. Back 2019 I was lucky if I even got 2 or 3 shinies from a com day so I think we should just be grateful for the shinies especially since this is a free event.

By far best comm day ever! Got me 15 shinies, 1 shundo. Couple rank 1 ivs for GBL. Over 400 XL candies. I like the Zweilous spawning in the wild. Hopefully they keep that feature with 3 stage evolutions moving forward
This community day did the exact opposite for me... Rather than play in the parks with everyone in the community which ultimately led to the Zweilous infestation, I instead moved away from here and everyone else to get the deino spawns for the shinies... Don't know what's worse, this idea or the 3h community days 🤦
I got only 16 shiny deino… and I grinded hundreds of spawns. I remember shinx community day and December where I got 50+ some of my friends only got 3 after hours of checking
Caught 18 dinos… no shinies! I was at a family event at a rural location. Due to the 3 hour window over lunch, playing wasn’t really possible. Caught all 18 spawns I saw. Tried to see if there were any around gyms on the way home… none! Not enough in person players in rural locations to actually battle. Worst com day ever from my perspective. Hope I get a chance to catch one at another event 😔
I LOVED the Zweilous spawns. Now I have enough XL candy to complete the level 46 challenge and progress to level 47. This was one of my most successful community days ever. I got a hundo and enough shines to trade to friends in the community who weren’t able to play today.
Me and the person playing with me had no idea the zweilous weren't shiny boosted, it wasn't clearly communicated at all. It's not even remotely intuitive, especially since the zweilous and hydreigon from research IS shiny boosted! My friend actually got 0 shinies from the main community day, despite grinding for 2 and a half hours, and only got shinies after the fact when we managed to scrape togther two of the raids afterwards. The zweilous are most likely to blame, we checked a lot of them :< We were only able to do two raids though; despite dumping all my stardust into my strongest fairy types, we weren't able to beat the raids with just the two of us ;w; So many people were offering to remote raid in too, would've been super helpful if they could...

Probably playing in the city center would be really tough. I liked option to raid Zweilous and expand CD. I totally agree that Zweilous could have been released as shiny.
In smaller cities the Zweilous didn’t spawn because not enough people were catching I guess :( I didn’t see a single one. I was pretty sad about it. I didn’t get enough XL to max either. Would’ve been perfect if Zweilous could be shiny. It was a cool event idea.
i had a great comday ending the 3 hour portion with 10 shinies and getting 11 more from the raid portion of the event. had a fun time with friends and did three shiny deino lucky trades
( Im glad I’m not the only one who dressed my character as a shiny Deino) I feel like the Zwelious was a good idea on paper. The fix is so easy - make them have a chance to be shiny. Raids were too rough for two players which I feel was the common number of players like together. Not to mention Mewtwo and Snorlax was still taking over. They should have made all evolutions a chance to be shiny. My partner got 13 and I got 6 or so. I’m happy with my number, no hundos and no shiny luckies. But I had a lot of fun.
Really enjoyed this event. Eight shinies, one which was a 98%, crazy amount of candy and xl candy, and enough Deino and Zweilous to end up with three Lucky ones after Trading with a friend. Had a Lot of Fun!
I was saying this to my friend, as I was playing. That they did this on purpose to keep the shiny rate down. It also made it difficult to catch the regular Deino.
I wonder if they’ll do this for the end of the year community day that would be pretty cool where if they rotate all the gyms with three and four star raids of the middle tier of the evolution if you complete the raid then all the Pokémon duel spawn around that rate will be community day rates of sad community day Pokémon so instead of just doing a hodgepodge of all of them you can’t control what you want to spawn
First Deino I caught was a shiny second was 100% IV, best luck I've ever had in any of these events and that was before I bought the ticket! Never saw another shiny but was happy with what I got.
I’ve always felt all the line should be part of a CD. But as a small town player, I didn’t see a single spawn for it haha. I got all my XL from having Mega Latios being level 3, got 323 xl in 2 hours
I understand that they are trying to encourage group play. But not really being able to duo the raids or even a hard trio is frustrating for those of us that are rurual or don't have people play around like the massive cities...
i think niantic should make so that the whole CDay featured mon's family should spawn during CDay, of course they should make the last stage spawns rare along with both evolved forms shiny eligible. also Amazing park by the way, i really love how the park looks and gives chill vibes.
So so love seeing your travels & pogo. Yep waaaaay too many Zeilous so why get disadvantage playing with others yet need others for the level 4 raids. No 2nd evolvution spawning or as you said make it shiny too. They did it too for Hoppip but at least they were different colors where the Zweilous hard to tell where the Deinos were as same look
Rural town with no pokestops or gyms. Only shiny I got was from the special research quest’s first step and luckily enough it was ≈80% IVs. Saw no Zweilous whatsoever
All I encountered was the second stage, it didn't see too many of the first stage. Unfortunately I did not encounter one shiny during the whole entire Community Day. I don't even think the community Pokemon was boosted for shinies. But it's okay, I got a high-level Community Day Pokemon with the community move, and that's all I can really ask for.
I got 8 shinies in the first hour, using a gotcha, when i was the only person at my local art park and I didnt' have any lures. Then a few people showed up, lured everything, and 20 mintues later, it was all zweilus. gotcha hardly caught any zweilus, so i was almost definitely screwed out of a ton of potential candy and stardust. it was 103 out, but "felt" 112, so I couldn't have my phone out because it woudl overheat in a few minutes, so my gotcha was the only option.
I feel bad, because I'm playing about 5% of the Pokemon Go I was playing at my peak, and on community days I'll just turn the game on for 5-10 minutes and see what happens. The very first Deino I tapped on, while sitting at a stop light, was a shiny. And then I was done. lol
I got 16 shinies. One 98 and one of those shinies are 3 star. It’s weird because only saw Deinos until the last like 15m in which it’s evolved form started to spawn everywhere. I also only played for the 2h out of the 3
We’re always quick to put in the boot to Niantic. Today we had Z spawns (shame about not being shiny but more candy), 6 hour incense & the post raid spawns.
Not a single Zweilous for me and me wife and we played the whole 3 hours in a spot with 3 gyms and a dozen stops and semi frequent spawns. We live in Western Canada so we're some of the last folks the time zone hits with CD, I feel like it got hot fixed throughout the day, even though that wouldn't be very Niantic to fix a bug to benefit the players.
I logged in for 20 minutes at the end the the event (was working before). Got my 3 shiny Deino (1 for each stage). And stopped playing. Still wishing pokemon from PoGo didn't have that icon on top of them in Pokemon Home.
My CD experience is little disappointing. I live in South East Asia so we get the error like Japan's and Nz/Aus. I put up with lures near me and no Zweilous ever spawn which could be a blessing in disguise but also very little Deino spawn too. I had to depend on incense and photobomb for shinies. I can't move around during the CD because I'm at my cousin's wedding so I had limited area I could go to
This was most likely the first and last time that I will ever get 12 shinies in less than a 2 hour span. XD As a side note, I also managed to snag a shiny eevee. I've never had a shundo, but I'm still happy with what I got. C:
I didn’t have any zweilous till the last hour so it was great. Got 13 and couldn’t ask for more (like seriously it’s too much). I’m fine with the zweilous but just allow them to be shiny
I got three shinies and played the full 3 hours (very low for me) not complaining but just mentioning it. The Zweillous helped for the xls. I'm 8 short of lvl 50. Couldn't do the raids since I was alone and remote was disabled for it Dunno, it just felt kinda off haha
I had no luck whatsoever with stats. Only a handful of low 3 star non-shiny at best. Out of the 16 shinies I caught, none were three star and only two 2 star.
I caught 11 shiny’s and one hundo, but there were too many Zweilous spawning and it kind of annoyed me. They were harder to catch and of course not shiny and just made it harder to find Deino. It was still an amazing com day though!
They should have made them spawn more around gyms which there's less off than poke stops... I probably got like 3,000+ candys lol which im not complaining
If Zweilous was a possible shiny, I wouldn't have mind the spawns. The raids should be guaranteed every hour or so. But I like the idea behind it. The execution should just be refined.
I got Sweilous after the first hour and in much lower numbers so I think they didn't mean to put out that many or had many complaints from people. I'm sure they changed it throughout the day. Enjoy Greece!

I didn't see a single one, but live in small town so not many lure catches. only did 2 hours caught a couple hundred deino with 17 shiny. no hundo one %96
Could not disagree more. I loved the Zweilous spawns. It allowed me to get XLs which are exceptionally good for Deino. I ended up with enough XLs to bring 3 to level 50, and about 10,000 Deino candy. This CD was, imo, one of the best ones. Needs some changes still but this was pretty good. I hated that Zweilous raids were so hard tho.

I played rural until the last ten minutes. Imagine my surprise when I got these two headed babies - awesome

I didn't mind the Zweilos, got so much candy. Shundos are mostly in the tasks anyways, and those still worked well! 😊

i havent seen a single Zweilous today, that's a charm of rural grinding. But i cought 4* deino and 20 shinies so it was really good day

In smaller cities the Zweilous didn’t spawn because not enough people were catching I guess :( I didn’t see a single one. I was pretty sad about it. I didn’t get enough XL to max either.
Would’ve been perfect if Zweilous could be shiny. It was a cool event idea.
i had a great comday ending the 3 hour portion with 10 shinies and getting 11 more from the raid portion of the event. had a fun time with friends and did three shiny deino lucky trades
I started pogo this year around may. Happy to have gotten 5 shinies. First time for me.
( Im glad I’m not the only one who dressed my character as a shiny Deino)
I feel like the Zwelious was a good idea on paper.
The fix is so easy - make them have a chance to be shiny.
Raids were too rough for two players which I feel was the common number of players like together.
Not to mention Mewtwo and Snorlax was still taking over.
They should have made all evolutions a chance to be shiny.
My partner got 13 and I got 6 or so. I’m happy with my number, no hundos and no shiny luckies.
But I had a lot of fun.
Really enjoyed this event. Eight shinies, one which was a 98%, crazy amount of candy and xl candy, and enough Deino and Zweilous to end up with three Lucky ones after Trading with a friend. Had a Lot of Fun!
I was saying this to my friend, as I was playing. That they did this on purpose to keep the shiny rate down. It also made it difficult to catch the regular Deino.
I wonder if they’ll do this for the end of the year community day that would be pretty cool where if they rotate all the gyms with three and four star raids of the middle tier of the evolution if you complete the raid then all the Pokémon duel spawn around that rate will be community day rates of sad community day Pokémon so instead of just doing a hodgepodge of all of them you can’t control what you want to spawn
First Deino I caught was a shiny second was 100% IV, best luck I've ever had in any of these events and that was before I bought the ticket! Never saw another shiny but was happy with what I got.
I’ve always felt all the line should be part of a CD.
But as a small town player, I didn’t see a single spawn for it haha.
I got all my XL from having Mega Latios being level 3, got 323 xl in 2 hours
I understand that they are trying to encourage group play. But not really being able to duo the raids or even a hard trio is frustrating for those of us that are rurual or don't have people play around like the massive cities...
i think niantic should make so that the whole CDay featured mon's family should spawn during CDay, of course they should make the last stage spawns rare along with both evolved forms shiny eligible. also Amazing park by the way, i really love how the park looks and gives chill vibes.

The first deino I clicked on was a shiny 98. I ended the day with 8 shiny deinos
So so love seeing your travels & pogo. Yep waaaaay too many Zeilous so why get disadvantage playing with others yet need others for the level 4 raids. No 2nd evolvution spawning or as you said make it shiny too. They did it too for Hoppip but at least they were different colors where the Zweilous hard to tell where the Deinos were as same look
To be honest I loved all the Zewlious. I could save my pianaps for them and ended up getting about 2000 candy an hour using them!
Rural town with no pokestops or gyms. Only shiny I got was from the special research quest’s first step and luckily enough it was ≈80% IVs. Saw no Zweilous whatsoever
All I encountered was the second stage, it didn't see too many of the first stage. Unfortunately I did not encounter one shiny during the whole entire Community Day. I don't even think the community Pokemon was boosted for shinies. But it's okay, I got a high-level Community Day Pokemon with the community move, and that's all I can really ask for.
I Think they should extend community day more longer because I couldn't finish geodude and the Dieno research!
Wish it was on a Sunday because of work but was able to grab a couple shiny 🙌
I got 8 shinies in the first hour, using a gotcha, when i was the only person at my local art park and I didnt' have any lures. Then a few people showed up, lured everything, and 20 mintues later, it was all zweilus. gotcha hardly caught any zweilus, so i was almost definitely screwed out of a ton of potential candy and stardust. it was 103 out, but "felt" 112, so I couldn't have my phone out because it woudl overheat in a few minutes, so my gotcha was the only option.
I feel bad, because I'm playing about 5% of the Pokemon Go I was playing at my peak, and on community days I'll just turn the game on for 5-10 minutes and see what happens. The very first Deino I tapped on, while sitting at a stop light, was a shiny. And then I was done. lol
Where I was in Florida there was quite a bit of Dieno. I got 8 shinies.
after seeing this I’m glad, as a solo player, I didn’t play how Niantic us wants to play. Super nice video tho!
I got 16 shinies. One 98 and one of those shinies are 3 star. It’s weird because only saw Deinos until the last like 15m in which it’s evolved form started to spawn everywhere. I also only played for the 2h out of the 3
I got 17 and it took trading to get a decent one. EVERY pokemon was almost a nundo for us, on top of 1/4 pokemon actually being a deino
We’re always quick to put in the boot to Niantic. Today we had Z spawns (shame about not being shiny but more candy), 6 hour incense & the post raid spawns.
Not a single Zweilous for me and me wife and we played the whole 3 hours in a spot with 3 gyms and a dozen stops and semi frequent spawns. We live in Western Canada so we're some of the last folks the time zone hits with CD, I feel like it got hot fixed throughout the day, even though that wouldn't be very Niantic to fix a bug to benefit the players.
Zweilous didn’t really start showing up for me until the last hour or so. I didn’t mind it much.

I basically stayed home during the whole event and btw I don't have ANY Pokestops or gyms at ALL so I didn't get as much shinies as everyone
I liked al the big guys. Helped me power my guy up to lvl 50 easier.
And again rural players get shafted, not enough players around our 1 pokestop to trigger anything, and no gym after Community day ended to extend it.
Wow I never even saw a zweillous in the wild. I only saw Deinos 😞 😢

My only problem was that the Zweilous couldn’t be shiny.
Kinda loved the Zweilous since I got 21 candy per pinap berry lol
I was kinda hunting for 100% Deino and earning enough candy to get a level 50 Hydreigon so this didn’t really bother me
I logged in for 20 minutes at the end the the event (was working before). Got my 3 shiny Deino (1 for each stage). And stopped playing.
Still wishing pokemon from PoGo didn't have that icon on top of them in Pokemon Home.
My CD experience is little disappointing. I live in South East Asia so we get the error like Japan's and Nz/Aus. I put up with lures near me and no Zweilous ever spawn which could be a blessing in disguise but also very little Deino spawn too. I had to depend on incense and photobomb for shinies. I can't move around during the CD because I'm at my cousin's wedding so I had limited area I could go to

Over the three hours I caught 20 shinys and 3 98iv. My friend got a shiny 98iv deino from a trade
This was most likely the first and last time that I will ever get 12 shinies in less than a 2 hour span. XD
As a side note, I also managed to snag a shiny eevee. I've never had a shundo, but I'm still happy with what I got. C:
I didn’t have any zweilous till the last hour so it was great. Got 13 and couldn’t ask for more (like seriously it’s too much).
I’m fine with the zweilous but just allow them to be shiny
I got three shinies and played the full 3 hours (very low for me) not complaining but just mentioning it.
The Zweillous helped for the xls. I'm 8 short of lvl 50.
Couldn't do the raids since I was alone and remote was disabled for it

I leveled up from 34 to 36 during this event I love it and I got 8 shinies 1 100% iv and 1 100% iv shiny :3 a shundo
I had no luck whatsoever with stats. Only a handful of low 3 star non-shiny at best. Out of the 16 shinies I caught, none were three star and only two 2 star.
I caught 11 shiny’s and one hundo, but there were too many Zweilous spawning and it kind of annoyed me. They were harder to catch and of course not shiny and just made it harder to find Deino. It was still an amazing com day though!
They should have made them spawn more around gyms which there's less off than poke stops... I probably got like 3,000+ candys lol which im not complaining
Zweilous spawns were so annoying. It was odd to watch 3 Zweilous spawns swatch at the same time to deino.
I caught like 12... my first shiny was literally the second deino I encountered.
If Zweilous was a possible shiny, I wouldn't have mind the spawns.
The raids should be guaranteed every hour or so. But I like the idea behind it. The execution should just be refined.
i ended up getting 2 shundos, one being level 35. could have used that luck during gofest
I actually found two shiny deinos funny enough, sadly had to spend 100 coins to buy pokeballs because I was out
I got Sweilous after the first hour and in much lower numbers so I think they didn't mean to put out that many or had many complaints from people. I'm sure they changed it throughout the day. Enjoy Greece!

I played the whole time while walking around with an insent and I only caught 1 shiny the whole time and a zero * no less
I didn't see a single one, but live in small town so not many lure catches. only did 2 hours caught a couple hundred deino with 17 shiny. no hundo one %96
lures made the deino spawn way too much, i play in the suburbs where there are usually no lures so i got a good amount of deino

Could not disagree more. I loved the Zweilous spawns. It allowed me to get XLs which are exceptionally good for Deino. I ended up with enough XLs to bring 3 to level 50, and about 10,000 Deino candy. This CD was, imo, one of the best ones. Needs some changes still but this was pretty good. I hated that Zweilous raids were so hard tho.
I am not complaining I mean it got me the xl candies I needed to max one out so yeah. 🙂

i was insanely unucky, out of 200 deino only 3 were shiny, also not a single zweilous because basically no people around
