You need to talk to your contacts about all the glitches at Go Fest. I contacted them about the incensed mons disappearing. They said that they would give me two incenses to make up for it. Incenses don’t even begin to make up for all of the lost Torchic, Tropius, shinies, etc.
I didn't buy it either because it seemed not so good and last year the price was okay, this year was too much. I at least managed to get an axew in my fifth raid, so that was nice.
For 2020 gofest I bought 2 tickets for my 2 best accounts, and just for fun I made a brand new level 1 character that day with no ticket. In just a couple of hours, it got 3 shinies (chinchou, houndour, jigglypuff)
The shiny rates for me were horrible and for the other members of my family that were playing they had slightly better for them. Compared to past events its shocking; 6 in 2 days compared to 40 last year.
16 hours of grinding, with all the buffs running, and I got one shiny. The spawn rates during the event were far below half what they normally are, for the areas where I was playing. There was also a glitch with the incense that was making them despawn as soon as you tried to catch them. It was a truly horrid experience. And then the game glitched and I lost my Shaymin somehow. Well done Niantic.
Glad to see Pierre again! Honestly i hadnt thought about him in a while and when he snuck up behind you, I was like "YEEEAAAAH THAT GUY!" Hilarious dude and all of yalls interactions are so fun.
Played for about 5 hours each day with incense on the whole time, roaming through a good park, a shopping centre, and downtown area, each with ample spawns. I got 1 shiny Pikachu. I don’t think you need to have Community Day shiny rates, but come on. Still glad to have Tropius in the ‘dex because I’m never going to Africa, but the event as a whole was a bit dull.
@@Tangarisu Then why are you wasting money on a game. Even if you're not investing money into the game by buying coins, you need an internet connection to play it. Right? To have that connection you need money to pay for it. Right? Why you wasting money on a game then? Besides, I've seen many "peasants" visiting my home town of Luderitz, which is in Namibia, a country in Africa.
I’ve really enjoyed this the last two years. But they really made me feel ripped off this year. It’s almost like they trying to kill global gofest. I will really think hard before doing this again. For the money we basically got 1day of shiny boost and early shaymin. The raids we got paid for the ticket.
Pokémon Go has slowly been dying and it's baffling Niantic doesn't seem to care because they're making more money than ever because of their absurd monetization that gets all the whales on board. It's disgusting and the fact they haven't fixed incense yet made me not want to even play the game during events like community day that I used to love
Add us to the dissatisfied list.... we were going to leave a festival to go to Seattle and play.... now we are staying at the festival. Just not worth driving 400 miles and paying for hotels for rates so low.
I got 10 shinies, super lucky Axew from the first raid and had a really fun time overall. Loved the video Nick! Keep these competition videos up, they are so entertaining and fun to look at. Can't wait to see your day two of go fest!
No the spawn rates were awful and I was around a surplus of spawns, played the whole time and only got 4 shiny’s. Things ran way to much. Even though I’d click on my incense as much as possible
It’s crazy to see how many players had poor shiny odds, I played both days consistently but pretty casually, got 16 shinies including a wild shiny Axew w/ almost perfect pvp IVs, used the three free remote raid passes got a shiny Kyogre w/ amazing ultra league pvp IVs on the first raid (used the other two on the new Ultra). Seeing the other comments I definitely feel lucky
Similar to most everyone, I ended day 1 with 2 shiny and neither were new… This may be the last time I buy a ticket for something like this. I expect boosted rates to actually be boosted if they say it will be. Such a disappointment!!
Having lived in the LA area in the past and playing since the game first started, I know it will never match the crowds in the original heyday, but it's slightly depressing to see how few people are in the background playing for their biggest event of the year. Shoreline Aquatic Park at Long Beach and Santa Monica Pier were the go to places that people from all over LA would descend upon. Those days were so nostalgic...
I haven't missed a single GO Fest, and man. This one hurt. Do not feel I got my money's worth in comparison to any other GO Fest. Will highly reconsider next one.
This vid was a lot of fun! Getting out there and going with friends is always the best way to do events, maybe I'll do this with a group some event soon Looking forward to day 2!
Caught around 600 today in the first 3 hours got 0 shinies so decided to just quit for the day. the set habitats should be the same way for both days. all i wanted to do was farm for swinub, axew, and larvatar. didnt care for anything else.
played 8 hours for 2 days of the weekend, just 2 shinies from raids and 1 from the wild. honestly, worst event ever just because of the shiny rates. somehow boosted for content creators
You weren't guys not the only I'm looking once I got two shinies in 2 days and one was the blue-eyed rat and a community day one so disappointed Plus there was a lot of glitches
Shiny rates were very bad for me as well but what really upset me was spawns disappearing as soon as I tapped on them…happened both days constantly🤦🏿♂️💸
Positives - hundo Axew from a raid. Unown B Negative - Zero shinies after playing both days the whole time. Over 500 Pokémon caught, many more seen. Feels like the shiny rate was much better the previous years I’ve played go fest and at Safari zone, or any community day. Thanks for the video - good to see you uploading regularly
For this one I had my 18month old and 4 YO with me so only could play using the Go plus, managed to catch shiny klink (new) binacle (new) shroomish (new) and x2 mudkip. I've caught more shinies during the first hour of community day =( Sadly the rest of the players in my town didn't do much better. Shiny rate seemed so low.
I actually didn’t have too many complaints from day 1, but day 2 they made the most boring spawns really common. I was trying to grind Torkoal and Tropius, but on day 2 I only found around three of each despite using incense for around four hours. I know the whole point was raiding, but eh…
As everyone stated how bad everything was. I had so many incense spawns despawn for me. I caught over 1500 over 2 days and played 16hrs total. Only got 15 total shines. F to Niantic for this. We need a make up a day before Aug for this awful event
I heard through chatter that the Shiny rates were super low on Saturday. I myself played since the start from finish and only got a Shiny Groudon. Personally I went into this expecting nothing.
I played both days of Go Fest while taking care of my mom. She lives in the middle of nowhere, so I had to rely on incense. I got about 7 shinies, but they're all the ones I wanted, including Axew and Snorlax. So I'm pretty happy
Finding shiny Pokemon was pretty difficult. Out of the four I had during both days, two of them happen to by larvitars. I think something is wrong with the incense. They were spawning out way too fast. I'd click on them and they would just disappear. Lost so much regional excursive from that.
I was very disappointed 4 shinys and cause over 500 pokemon day 1. I think this will be my last go fest, I cant see paying money for slightly raised shiny chances.
I'm surprised I was fairly lucky. Got 18 shinies on day 1 and 6 shinies on day 2, including most of which I wanted the most. Didn't have near this much luck last year, but what made me laugh the most is 9:42 because I too fell for the same thing. Managed to finish the research on day 2, though
I liked this video allot. Great work. And good choice purchasing the microphone, because it allows you to make greater shots from a distance and yet have awesome audio. You made good use of it that. Also, great to see Pierre, it's been a minute. I find this Go fest's Day 1 to be mid/mediocre. Last year was way better, numberwise. I did do quite well yesterday qualitywise in shinie.
Not gonna lie, I was sad about missing this event because of work. But seems like I wasn't really missing much honestly. I did a few early Groudon raids, but thats about it 🤷🤷
Getting close to the end of day 2. Still have not caught one single shiny during this event. Pokémon are still fleeing when I try to tap on them, Niantic responded to an in game message and told me that “shiny rates are random for trainers, we gave you 3 incense in your item bag”. Yeah, no, not during a paid ticket event that stated on the blog that there is an increased shiny rate. And I don’t want or need 3 incense from them, I bought 16 for the event, I want my ticket refunded, because this was a clear case of bait and switch. This event wasn’t good. The best thing was the global challenge Nihalego raid rewards that helped me rack up xp. But for me the game is all about the shinies, I love them, they are my treasures, I play every event and community day for the shinies. This was just so disappointing.
Yeah other youtubers have been titling this the best go fest, or good event or something. I know Trainer tips doesn't want to make any negative content towards the game but I hope some other youtubers address the communities distaste for the event. Just such a downgrade from last year with a ticket that was more expensive
@@leonli844 I got 3 from both days. I have had better luck just catching randoms everyday then paying $15 bucks to get spit on. It said boosted stuff nothing was boosted for me, hell I dont think even the spawn rate even increased.
Horrible shiny rates this weekend but I will reserve my judgement until the event in August, which ticket holders get along with this weekend event. It's a shame they reduced the rates for Sunday, when finding shinies on Saturday was already hard. I hope they make up for this mess in August (🤡 I know, but we can all hope I guess)
Played about 13 hours, caught about 500 and checked easily another 500 and I only got one shiny… a rockruff from a raid. My friend playing with me got none. Either I have the worst luck on the planet or they didn’t increase the odds for most people. Willing to bet they won’t acknowledge the complaints either…
I had 20 shinies between the two days playing so I'm happy. Spent a gorgeous Saturday at the park with friends and Sunday with friends at Mall of America. Fun event.
This event has been a massive disappointment. It feels like 2 steps forward, 5 steps back with Niantic. They increased incense spawn rates... only for things to immediately disappear. Shiny rates were not increased (I got 2 in 2 days), and trying to catch anything seemed more difficult than usual with how often they would attack or jump out of the balls. I regret buying the ticket. And at this point, expecting Niantic to actually listen to feedback makes me feel like not just a clown, but the whole damn circus.
I went back and forth trying to decide if i should get the ticket or not. Kinda regret getting it now. My shiny luck was trash, and the issue with the incense was super-annoying.
We have a ton of people in our discord requesting refunds from apple and google due to all the glitching and nonsense from this event. I have seen Niantic do way better for far less $ in the past. Not sure why they failed so hard this round.
I think I really need to stop paying for these events. Not worth it. The $5 version was better than this $15 version. I just stopped playing at the last hour, and went to the movies. I’m sick of this pay more get less
Awesome Adam is truly awesome. What a nice guy to not only NOT take your best shinies but to actually take the curse of shiny plusle off your hands. (Maybe)
16 hours in total, 5 shinnies in day one, 7 on day two. I was not alone, I spoke to a good few people no one had over 10 per day, the average seem to be around 5 to 6 per day. At least got around 3.5 million in experience. Nice last day :D
Yeah, it seemed like the shiny rates were way, way down. It’s nice that I got plenty of Tropius to give to my co-workers who play and I loaded up on rare candies and rare XL candies but overall, it was very disappointing. The whole “Catch 10 ground types” part of the research had me stuck for awhile because (outside of Larvitar) there weren’t a heck of a lot of ground types spawning.
Yeah the shiny odds sucked for me I caught 5 throughout the weekend feels like it's not boosted as expected the incense had this weird bug where pokemon still appear if despawned I'm happy with the 3 98% Iv axew & hundo unown so there's something lol
I only managed 3 shiny from each day. None of them were new shiny releases for GO Fest, but 3 were new to me and my collection. And I played nearly the entire time both days.

it wasn't even incense for this event. I even had trouble. I got 6 pokemon int total for the whole event. 3 for each day.
@@Poseidonsns 6 shinies? Or 6 regular pokemon?
@@xINVISIGOTHx sorry, 6 shiny pokemon in total.
@@Poseidonsns I used 2 phones both days, on my main, Saturday=10, Sunday=2. On my alt, Saturday=13, Sunday=5. Both had incense on at the same times and I was checking the same amount of pokemon on each. Saturday was about 3 hours inside (mostly incense) 5 hours outside, Sunday was about 6 hours inside (incense) 2 hours outside. I did about 7 axew/rockruff raids both days, no raid shinies
@@xINVISIGOTHx damn you had what normally people who would get like me with each in total for the 2 accoutns. I did like 10 maybe even 15 axew raids. 0 shinies. DId I get any wild shiny axews? Nope 0. you still had better shinies in total than me but still wasn't lucky enough to a single shiny axew. the last 2 go fest. 2020 I got shiny gible. 2021 I got hundo gible. for a new dragon type pokemon that is very prevalent I'm surprised people either didn't get the shiny from it or a hundo. I mean some were very unlucky to not get shiny gible or deino as well.
You need to talk to your contacts about all the glitches at Go Fest. I contacted them about the incensed mons disappearing. They said that they would give me two incenses to make up for it. Incenses don’t even begin to make up for all of the lost Torchic, Tropius, shinies, etc.
Torchic?
I vowed last year that I wouldn’t pay for the next go fest. I saved $15 and STILL got a shiny Galarian wheezing lol
6more than me
0 in 2 days of grinding.
My wife played casually and even got one shiny. 😃😃😃
@@hardcoreteunes Yeah the rates were horrible. But remember there is third date later (August 27th). Hopefully they improve everything for then.
It was nice to finally meet you... me my family had a blast first time long time we went out... always love content
Why don't you want to visit Africa?
@@sigisoltau6073 because it’s a very very long way away.
@@sigisoltau6073 because we are in a global depression and people need money to live.
The days of vacations for the peasants is over
@@Tangarisu Then why are you wasting money on a game.
Adam is the luckiest, happiest, and nicest guy. Always happy go lucky.
I played 2 days, did 60 axew raids (no shiny): Total 16 shinys
My second account had no pass, was in my pocket (gotcha): Total 7 shinys
Great crew on the video! So glad to see Pierre back!
Came to say this!
It's nice to see someone got shines. I played all six hours yesterday and got only one shiny. Worst Go Fest ever
UA-camrs all got theirs the rest of us got throttled
Their will be radio silence from the youtubers who will just gaslight us
@@Tangarisu hahah probably. Trainer tips voiced his displeasure with it too.
Short answer: no.
NGL, when he started laughing after remembering what pokemon you hated Nick, I was cracking up. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I haven't missed a single GO Fest, and man. This one hurt. Do not feel I got my money's worth in comparison to any other GO Fest. Will highly reconsider next one.
This vid was a lot of fun! Getting out there and going with friends is always the best way to do events, maybe I'll do this with a group some event soon
Looking forward to day 2!
Caught around 600 today in the first 3 hours got 0 shinies so decided to just quit for the day. the set habitats should be the same way for both days. all i wanted to do was farm for swinub, axew, and larvatar. didnt care for anything else.
I really enjoyed this video nick! I have been smiling the whole video I dont know why! way to go :)
This is event sucked big time. The spawns were terrible and the shiny rates were even worse. The tours were much better.
ayyy great group of players there! Pure vibes man, awesome video
the short answer is "No" lmao
Ratio then
@@JackBlaine9999 idk what that means but I didn't have much fun compared to the money and effort I put in.
These challenge videos are the best. Go Fest was super fun this year!
played 8 hours for 2 days of the weekend, just 2 shinies from raids and 1 from the wild. honestly, worst event ever just because of the shiny rates. somehow boosted for content creators
@9.54 nice bit of kit there!
My friend and I went out and walked both days and he got the ONLY SHINY between both of us. Glad we at least weren’t the only unlucky ones.
You weren't guys not the only I'm looking once I got two shinies in 2 days and one was the blue-eyed rat and a community day one so disappointed Plus there was a lot of glitches
I would rather wait for the boosted shiny odds on the free com days than pay Niantics ridiculously overpriced Go fest tickets
Shiny rates were very bad for me as well but what really upset me was spawns disappearing as soon as I tapped on them…happened both days constantly🤦🏿♂️💸
Positives - hundo Axew from a raid. Unown B
Negative - Zero shinies after playing both days the whole time.
I've caught more shinies during the first hour of community day =(
Sadly the rest of the players in my town didn't do much better. Shiny rate seemed so low.
Had a lot of fun bro! Happy you agreed to do my challenge 😈
watching this video is making me want to cry. my go fest experience looked nothing like this
Yes, that is unfortunately something that most content creators have in common: it looks to good to be true...
Great content regardless of how I feel about the event
I actually didn’t have too many complaints from day 1, but day 2 they made the most boring spawns really common. I was trying to grind Torkoal and Tropius, but on day 2 I only found around three of each despite using incense for around four hours. I know the whole point was raiding, but eh…
Excellent video Nick, so much fun! Day 1 was a joke, got 2 shinies only, day 2 I got an Axew at the last raid I did, just for that I'm so happy!
As everyone stated how bad everything was. I had so many incense spawns despawn for me.
I caught over 1500 over 2 days and played 16hrs total. Only got 15 total shines. F to Niantic for this. We need a make up a day before Aug for this awful event
I loved the shayman scene that was literally the coolest thing and totally unexpected
PIERRE NO WAY
I was very disappointed 4 shinys and cause over 500 pokemon day 1. I think this will be my last go fest, I cant see paying money for slightly raised shiny chances.
Pierre coming through! Great to see him in a video
I did a few early Groudon raids, but thats about it 🤷🤷
Same! Dodged a bullet there.
Not sure how it ends yet but absolutely love this challenge good luck Nick!!!!
Damn hahah great challenge regardless please do more!!
Loving the challenges dude
Hmmm all the youtubers were successful with limited bugs... I smell something.
Others play all day and got 0 with bugs and crashes
Yeah other youtubers have been titling this the best go fest, or good event or something. I know Trainer tips doesn't want to make any negative content towards the game but I hope some other youtubers address the communities distaste for the event. Just such a downgrade from last year with a ticket that was more expensive
@@leonli844 I got 3 from both days.
I have had better luck just catching randoms everyday then paying $15 bucks to get spit on.
It said boosted stuff nothing was boosted for me, hell I dont think even the spawn rate even increased.
12:37 this set up is super cool man haha
Horrible shiny rates this weekend but I will reserve my judgement until the event in August, which ticket holders get along with this weekend event. It's a shame they reduced the rates for Sunday, when finding shinies on Saturday was already hard. I hope they make up for this mess in August (🤡 I know, but we can all hope I guess)
I got more shinies sat at home in the last 3 hours of the event than I did in the previous 13 hours.
I got more shinies sat at home in the last 3 hours of the event than I did in the previous 13 hours.
I am beginning to suspect the sociopaths enjoy teasing us.
And deliberately break shit just to watch us squirm
Shiny rates were 1/50-75 in time zones like New Zealand, Australia, etc. But around Europe the rate changed. Niantic had said nothing about it so far.
Why would they, they are too busy dilating
We have a ton of people in our discord requesting refunds from apple and google due to all the glitching and nonsense from this event. I have seen Niantic do way better for far less $ in the past. Not sure why they failed so hard this round.
Loved Adam's trade with you...🤣🔥
this was my first pokemongofest paid ticket and what a let down, i played the whole game without stopping and only got like 4 shinnys
They announced for ticket holders the shiny rates would be boosted but by how much remains to be seen. I assume it was a .001% increase not much
Pierreeeeeeeeeeeeee ❤
so happy to see Nick playing pokemon go with Pierreeeeee again
its been yeaaaaaars
I think I really need to stop paying for these events. Not worth it. The $5 version was better than this $15 version. I just stopped playing at the last hour, and went to the movies. I’m sick of this pay more get less
Corporations love the model pay more get even less.
It tickles their black hearts
Awesome Adam is truly awesome. What a nice guy to not only NOT take your best shinies but to actually take the curse of shiny plusle off your hands. (Maybe)
16 hours in total, 5 shinnies in day one, 7 on day two. I was not alone, I spoke to a good few people no one had over 10 per day, the average seem to be around 5 to 6 per day. At least got around 3.5 million in experience. Nice last day :D
The Plusle :D Check out Go Fest 2019 Video If you haven't seen the context.
We missed you, Pierre!
Short answe no it was aweful rates were low game lagged too much
Yeah, it seemed like the shiny rates were way, way down.
Laughed so hard when Adam gave you that Plusle XD
Looking at this video made me feel worse about the fest, your shinies were amazing
Hey you were featured on the app's news page today :D
I got 6 shinies. And none apart from 2 binacle were good. So basically I paid £14 for a shaymin and 2 binacles
The shinies I got was an Axew from a raid and Shroomish from incense. Really I bought the ticket just for Shaymin I guess
@@anchorage9562 i got pretty much the same, 6 shinnies and a shaymin, yay lol what a let down
@@anchorage9562 yooo anchorage gang. see ya out there today? 🤣

I only managed 3 shiny from each day. None of them were new shiny releases for GO Fest, but 3 were new to me and my collection. And I played nearly the entire time both days.
If it's not all about the shinys then they shouldn't charge for a ticket. I was a ticket holder and caught two on day one a big zero on day 2 glad to see some people got lucky but this event was ridiculous.
They also shouldn’t promote shinys as a selling point as well. It’s literally promoted as a reason to buy the ticket and spend the money.
